The Temple Construction in Jerusalem
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.1 Solomon began to build the LORD's temple in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared to his father David. There David had prepared the site on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite. 1 Then Solomon began to build the house of Yahweh at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where [Yahweh] appeared to David his father, which he prepared in the place that David had appointed, in the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.1 And Solomon began to build the house of Jehovah at Jerusalem on mount Moriah, where he appeared to David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshing-floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
He began to build on the second day in the second month of the fourth year of his reign.2 And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.2 He began to build on the second day in the second month of the fourth year of his reign.2 He began to build in the second [day] of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.2 And he began to build on the second of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.
Dimensions and Materials of the Temple
Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for building the house of God. The length in cubits, according to the old standard was sixty cubits, and the width twenty cubits.3 Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.3 This is how Solomon laid the foundation to build God's temple. It was 90 feet long and 30 feet wide. (They used the old standard measurement.)3 Now these are the foundations which Solomon laid for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.3 And this was Solomon's foundation for the construction of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was sixty cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.
The porch which was in front of the house was as long as the width of the house, twenty cubits, and the height 120; and inside he overlaid it with pure gold.4 And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.4 The entrance hall in front of [the main room] was 30 feet wide (the same as the width of the temple) and 30 feet high. He covered its inside walls with pure gold.4 The porch that was before [the house], its length, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and the height one hundred twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.4 And the porch which was in front was twenty cubits in length, in front of the house broadways, and the height was a hundred and twenty; and he overlaid it within with pure gold.
He overlaid the main room with cypress wood and overlaid it with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains.5 And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.5 He paneled the larger building with cypress, overlaid it with fine gold, and decorated it with [designs in the form of] palm trees and chains.5 The greater house he made a ceiling with fir wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and ornamented it with palm trees and chains.5 And the greater house he boarded with cypress-wood, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set on it palm-trees and chains.

Further, he adorned the house with precious stones; and the gold was gold from Parvaim.6 And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.6 He covered the building with gems to beautify it and used gold from Parvaim.6 He garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.6 And he overlaid the house with precious stones for beauty; and the gold was gold of Parvaim.
He also overlaid the house with gold-- the beams, the thresholds and its walls and its doors; and he carved cherubim on the walls.7 He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubim on the walls.7 He also overlaid the building, the rafters, the threshold, the walls, and the doors with gold, and he carved angels into the walls. 7 He overlaid also the house, the beams, the thresholds, and its walls, and its doors, with gold; and engraved cherubim on the walls.7 And he covered the house, the beams, the threshold, and its walls, and its doors with gold, and engraved cherubim on the walls.
Now he made the room of the holy of holies: its length across the width of the house was twenty cubits, and its width was twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to 600 talents.8 And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.8 He made the most holy place. It was as long as the temple was wide, 30 feet long. It was also 30 feet wide. He overlaid it with 45,000 pounds of fine gold.8 He made the most holy house: its length, according to the breadth of the house, was twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits; and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.8 And he made the house of the most holy place, the length of which was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and its breadth twenty cubits; and he covered it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.
The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.9 And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.9 The gold nails weighed 20 ounces. He also overlaid the upper rooms with gold.9 The weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. He overlaid the upper rooms with gold.9 And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he covered the upper chambers with gold.
Then he made two sculptured cherubim in the room of the holy of holies and overlaid them with gold.10 And in the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work, and overlaid them with gold.10 In the most holy place he made two sculptured angels and covered them with gold.10 In the most holy house he made two cherubim of image work; and they overlaid them with gold.10 And in the house of the most holy place he made two cherubim of image work, and they overlaid them with gold.

The wingspan of the cherubim was twenty cubits; the wing of one, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house, and its other wing, of five cubits, touched the wing of the other cherub.11 And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.11 The combined length of the angels' wings was 30 feet. A wing of one of the angels was 71/2 feet long and touched the wall of the building. Its other wing was 71/2 feet long and touched one wing of the other.11 The wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: the wing of the one [cherub] was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was [likewise] five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.11 And the wings of the cherubim were twenty cubits long: one wing of five cubits touched the wall of the house; and the other wing of five cubits touched the wing of the other cherub.
The wing of the other cherub, of five cubits, touched the wall of the house; and its other wing of five cubits was attached to the wing of the first cherub.12 And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.12 The wing of the other one of the angels was 71/2 feet long and touched the other wall of the building. Its other wing was 71/2 feet long and touched the wing of the first. So the angels' combined wingspan was 30 feet.12 The wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits [also], joining to the wing of the other cherub.12 And the wing of the other cherub of five cubits touched the wall of the house; and the other wing was five cubits joining the wing of the other cherub.
The wings of these cherubim extended twenty cubits, and they stood on their feet facing the main room.13 The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.13 They stood on their feet and faced the main hall.13 The wings of these cherubim spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.13 The wings of these cherubim spread forth were twenty cubits; and they stood on their feet, and their faces were toward the house.
He made the veil of violet, purple, crimson and fine linen, and he worked cherubim on it.14 And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubim thereon.14 Solomon made the canopy of violet, purple, and dark red cloth and of linen and decorated it with angels.14 He made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and ornamented it with cherubim.14 And he made the veil of blue, and purple, and crimson, and byssus, and made cherubim upon it.
He also made two pillars for the front of the house, thirty-five cubits high, and the capital on the top of each was five cubits.15 Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.15 He made two pillars for the front of the temple. They were 53 feet long, and the capital on each pillar was 71/2 feet [high].15 Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty-five cubits high, and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.15 And before the house he made two pillars thirty-five cubits long; and the capital that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
He made chains in the inner sanctuary and placed them on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates and placed them on the chains.16 And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.16 He made chains for the inner room and [also] put them on the capitals. He made 100 pomegranates and put them on the chains.16 He made chains in the oracle, and put [them] on the tops of the pillars; and he made one hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.16 And he made chains as in the oracle, and he put them on the top of the pillars; and he made a hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.
He erected the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right and the other on the left, and named the one on the right Jachin and the one on the left Boaz.17 And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.17 He set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right and the other on the left. He named the one on the right Jachin [He Establishes] and the one on the left Boaz [In Him Is Strength].17 He set up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.17 And he set up the pillars in front of the temple, one on the right hand and the other on the left; and he called the name of that on the right Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.
