I will stand on my guard post And station myself on the rampart; And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, And how I may reply when I am reproved.1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.1 I will stand at my guard post. I will station myself on the wall. I will watch to see what he will say to me and what answer I will get to my complaint.1 I will stand at my watch, and set myself on the ramparts, and will look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will look forth to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer as to my reproof.
Then the LORD answered me and said, "Record the vision And inscribe it on tablets, That the one who reads it may run.2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.2 Then the LORD answered me, "Write the vision. Make it clear on tablets so that anyone can read it quickly.2 Yahweh answered me, "Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who runs may read it.2 And Jehovah answered me and said, Write the vision, and engrave it upon tablets, that he may run that readeth it.
"For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay.3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.3 The vision will still happen at the appointed time. It hurries toward its goal. It won't be a lie. If it's delayed, wait for it. It will certainly happen. It won't be late.3 For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay.3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but it hasteth to the end, and shall not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; for it will surely come, it will not delay.
"Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith.4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.4 "Look at the proud person. He is not right in himself. But the righteous person will live because of his faithfulness. 4 Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.4 Behold, his soul is puffed up, it is not upright within him: but the just shall live by his faith.
"Furthermore, wine betrays the haughty man, So that he does not stay at home. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, And he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all nations And collects to himself all peoples.5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:5 Also because wine is treacherous he is arrogant and never rests. He has a large appetite like the grave. He is like death-never satisfied. He gathers all the nations to himself. He collects all the people to himself.5 Yes, moreover, wine is treacherous. A haughty man who doesn't stay at home, who enlarges his desire as Sheol, and he is like death, and can't be satisfied, but gathers to himself all nations, and heaps to himself all peoples.5 And moreover, the wine is treacherous: he is a proud man, and keepeth not at rest, he enlargeth his desire as Sheol, and he is like death and cannot be satisfied; and he assembleth unto him all nations, and gathereth unto him all peoples.

"Will not all of these take up a taunt-song against him, Even mockery and insinuations against him And say, 'Woe to him who increases what is not his-- For how long-- And makes himself rich with loans?'6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!6 Won't all of them ridicule him, directing clever sayings and riddles at him, like: " 'How horrible it will be for the one who makes himself rich with what is not his own and makes himself wealthy on loans. How long will this go on?'6 Won't all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, 'Woe to him who increases that which is not his, and who enriches himself by extortion! How long?'6 Shall not all these take up a proverb about him, and a taunting riddle against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that loadeth himself with pledges!
"Will not your creditors rise up suddenly, And those who collect from you awaken? Indeed, you will become plunder for them.7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?7 Won't your creditors suddenly rise up and those who are going to shake you wake up? Then you will become their prize.7 Won't your debtors rise up suddenly, and wake up those who make you tremble, and you will be their victim?7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and they awake up that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?
"Because you have looted many nations, All the remainder of the peoples will loot you-- Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land, To the town and all its inhabitants.8 Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.8 You have looted many nations. All the rest of the people will loot you because of the slaughter and violence done to lands, cities, and all their inhabitants.8 Because you have plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples will plunder you, because of men's blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all who dwell in it.8 Because thou hast plundered many nations, all the rest of the peoples shall plunder thee; because of men's blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city, and all that dwell therein.
"Woe to him who gets evil gain for his house To put his nest on high, To be delivered from the hand of calamity!9 Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!9 " 'How horrible it will be for the one who uses violence to get things for his own household in order to set his nest up high and save himself from disaster.'9 Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!9 Woe to him that getteth iniquitous gain to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the grasp of evil!
"You have devised a shameful thing for your house By cutting off many peoples; So you are sinning against yourself.10 Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.10 You have planned disgrace for your household by cutting off many people and forfeiting your own life.10 You have devised shame to your house, by cutting off many peoples, and have sinned against your soul.10 Thou hast devised shame to thy house, by cutting off many peoples, and hast sinned against thine own soul.

"Surely the stone will cry out from the wall, And the rafter will answer it from the framework.11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.11 A stone in the wall will cry out. A beam in the roof will answer it.11 For the stone will cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the woodwork will answer it.11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
"Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed And founds a town with violence!12 Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!12 " 'How horrible it will be for the one who builds a city by slaughter and founds a town by crime.'12 Woe to him who builds a town with blood, and establishes a city by iniquity!12 Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and establisheth a city by unrighteousness!
"Is it not indeed from the LORD of hosts That peoples toil for fire, And nations grow weary for nothing?13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?13 Isn't it from the LORD of Armies that people grow tired only to feed the flames and nations exhaust themselves for nothing?13 Behold, isn't it of Yahweh of Armies that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?13 Behold, is it not of Jehovah of hosts that the peoples labour for the fire, and the nations weary themselves in vain?
"For the earth will be filled With the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.14 But the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the LORD's glory like the water covers the sea.14 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Yahweh, as the waters cover the sea.14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea.
"Woe to you who make your neighbors drink, Who mix in your venom even to make them drunk So as to look on their nakedness!15 Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!15 " 'How horrible it will be for the one who makes his neighbor drink from the bowl of God's rage, making him drunk in order to stare at his nakedness.'15 "Woe to him who gives his neighbor drink, pouring your inflaming wine until they are drunk, so that you may gaze at their naked bodies!15 Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that pourest out thy flask, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"You will be filled with disgrace rather than honor. Now you yourself drink and expose your own nakedness. The cup in the LORD'S right hand will come around to you, And utter disgrace will come upon your glory.16 Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD's right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.16 You are filled with disgrace rather than glory. Drink! Yes you! And expose yourself as godless. The cup in the LORD's right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.16 You are filled with shame, and not glory. You will also drink, and be exposed! The cup of Yahweh's right hand will come around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.16 Thou art filled with shame instead of glory; drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of Jehovah's right hand shall be turned unto thee, and a shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.
"For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, And the devastation of its beasts by which you terrified them, Because of human bloodshed and violence done to the land, To the town and all its inhabitants.17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.17 The violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction done to the animals will terrify you because of the slaughter and violence done to lands, cities, and all their inhabitants.17 For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and the destruction of the animals, which made them afraid; because of men's blood, and for the violence done to the land, to every city and to those who dwell in them.17 For the violence done to Lebanon shall cover thee, and the destruction of beasts which made them afraid; because of men's blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city, and all that dwell therein.
"What profit is the idol when its maker has carved it, Or an image, a teacher of falsehood? For its maker trusts in his own handiwork When he fashions speechless idols.18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?18 "What benefit is there in a carved idol when its maker has carved it? What benefit is there in a molded statue, a teacher of lies, when its maker has molded it? The one who formed it trusts himself to make worthless idols that cannot speak.18 "What value does the engraved image have, that its maker has engraved it; the molten image, even the teacher of lies, that he who fashions its form trusts in it, to make mute idols?18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it? the molten image, and the teacher of falsehood, that the maker of his work dependeth thereon, to make dumb idols?
"Woe to him who says to a piece of wood, 'Awake!' To a mute stone, 'Arise!' And that is your teacher? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, And there is no breath at all inside it.19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.19 'How horrible it will be for the one who says to a piece of wood, "Wake up!" and to a stone that cannot talk, "Get up!' " Can that thing teach [anyone]? Just look at it! It's covered with gold and silver, but there's absolutely no life in it."19 Woe to him who says to the wood, 'Awake!' or to the mute stone, 'Arise!' Shall this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in its midst.19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake! to the dumb stone, Arise! Shall it teach? Behold it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
"But the LORD is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him."20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.20 The LORD is in his holy temple. All the earth should be silent in his presence.20 But Yahweh is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!"20 But Jehovah is in his holy temple. Let all the earth keep silence before him!
