Preparing the Passover
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching.1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.1 The Festival of Unleavened Bread, called Passover, was near.1 Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the Passover, drew near.1 Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the passover, drew nigh,
 The chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people.2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.2 The chief priests and the scribes were looking for some way to kill Jesus. However, they were afraid of the people.2 The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.2 and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
 And Satan entered into Judas who was called Iscariot, belonging to the number of the twelve.3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.3 Then Satan entered Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve apostles.3 Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered with the twelve.3 And Satan entered into Judas, who was surnamed Iscariote, being of the number of the twelve.
 And he went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them.4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.4 Judas went to the chief priests and the temple guards and discussed with them how he could betray Jesus.4 He went away, and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.4 And he went away and spoke with the chief priests and captains as to how he should deliver him up to them.
 They were glad and agreed to give him money.5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.5 They were pleased and agreed to give him some money.5 They were glad, and agreed to give him money.5 And they were rejoiced, and agreed to give him money.

 So he consented, and began seeking a good opportunity to betray Him to them apart from the crowd.6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.6 So Judas promised to do it. He kept looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus to them when there was no crowd.6 He consented, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.6 And he came to an agreement to do it, and sought an opportunity to deliver him up to them away from the crowd.
 Then came the first day of Unleavened Bread on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed.7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.7 The day came during the Festival of Unleavened Bread when the Passover lamb had to be killed.7 The day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover must be sacrificed.7 And the day of unleavened bread came, in which the passover was to be killed.
 And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it."8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.8 Jesus sent Peter and John and told them, "Go, prepare the Passover lamb for us to eat."8 He sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat."8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat it.
 They said to Him, "Where do You want us to prepare it?"9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?9 They asked him, "Where do you want us to prepare it?"9 They said to him, "Where do you want us to prepare?"9 But they said to him, Where wilt thou that we prepare it?
 And He said to them, "When you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house that he enters.10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.10 He told them, "Go into the city, and you will meet a man carrying a jug of water. Follow him into the house he enters.10 He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.10 And he said to them, Behold, as ye enter into the city a man will meet you, carrying an earthen pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he goes in;

 "And you shall say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher says to you, "Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?"'11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?11 Tell the owner of the house that the teacher asks, 'Where is the room where I can eat the Passover meal with my disciples?'11 Tell the master of the house, 'The Teacher says to you, "Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?"'11 and ye shall say to the master of the house, The Teacher says to thee, Where is the guest-chamber where I may eat the passover with my disciples?
 "And he will show you a large, furnished upper room; prepare it there."12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.12 He will take you upstairs and show you a large furnished room. Get things ready there."12 He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there."12 And he will shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
 And they left and found everything just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover.13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.13 The disciples left. They found everything as Jesus had told them and prepared the Passover.13 They went, found things as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.13 And having gone they found it as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.
The Lord’s Supper
 When the hour had come, He reclined at the table, and the apostles with Him.14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.14 When it was time to eat the Passover meal, Jesus and the apostles were at the table.14 When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve apostles.14 And when the hour was come, he placed himself at table, and the twelve apostles with him.
 And He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:15 Jesus said to them, "I've had a deep desire to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.15 He said to them, "I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,15 And he said to them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 for I say to you, I shall never again eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God."16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.16 I can guarantee that I won't eat it again until it finds its fulfillment in the kingdom of God."16 for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God."16 For I say unto you, that I will not eat any more at all of it until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He said, "Take this and share it among yourselves;17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:17 Then he took a cup and spoke a prayer of thanksgiving. He said, "Take this, and share it.17 He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, "Take this, and share it among yourselves,17 And having received a cup, when he had given thanks he said, Take this and divide it among yourselves.
 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes."18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.18 I can guarantee that from now on I won't drink this wine until the kingdom of God comes."18 for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until the Kingdom of God comes."18 For I say unto you, that I will not drink at all of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God come.
 And when He had taken some bread and given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, "This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me."19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.19 Then Jesus took bread and spoke a prayer of thanksgiving. He broke the bread, gave it to them, and said, "This is my body, which is given up for you. Do this to remember me."19 He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave to them, saying, "This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me."19 And having taken a loaf, when he had given thanks, he broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
 And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, "This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.20 When supper was over, he did the same with the cup. He said, "This cup that is poured out for you is the new promise made with my blood." 20 Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.20 In like manner also the cup, after having supped, saying, This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

 "But behold, the hand of the one betraying Me is with Mine on the table.21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table.21 "The hand of the one who will betray me is with me on the table.21 But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.21 Moreover, behold, the hand of him that delivers me up is with me on the table;
 "For indeed, the Son of Man is going as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!"22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!22 The Son of Man is going to die the way it has been planned for him. But how horrible it will be for that person who betrays him."22 The Son of Man indeed goes, as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!"22 and the Son of man indeed goes as it is determined, but woe unto that man by whom he is delivered up.
 And they began to discuss among themselves which one of them it might be who was going to do this thing.23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.23 So they began to discuss with each other who could do such a thing.23 They began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.23 And they began to question together among themselves who then it could be of them who was about to do this.
Who Is Greatest
 And there arose also a dispute among them as to which one of them was regarded to be greatest.24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest.24 Then a quarrel broke out among the disciples. They argued about who should be considered the greatest.24 There arose also a contention among them, which of them was considered to be greatest.24 And there was also a strife among them which of them should be held to be the greatest.
 And He said to them, "The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who have authority over them are called 'Benefactors.'25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.25 Jesus said to them, "The kings of nations have power over their people, and those in authority call themselves friends of the people.25 He said to them, "The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called 'benefactors.'25 And he said to them, The kings of the nations rule over them, and they that exercise authority over them are called benefactors.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "But it is not this way with you, but the one who is the greatest among you must become like the youngest, and the leader like the servant.26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.26 But you're not going to be that way! Rather, the greatest among you must be like the youngest, and your leader must be like a servant.26 But not so with you. But one who is the greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.26 But ye shall not be thus; but let the greater among you be as the younger, and the leader as he that serves.
 "For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? But I am among you as the one who serves.27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.27 Who's the greatest, the person who sits at the table or the servant? Isn't it really the person who sits at the table? But I'm among you as a servant.27 For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn't it he who sits at the table? But I am in the midst of you as one who serves.27 For which is greater, he that is at table or he that serves? Is not he that is at table? But I am in the midst of you as the one that serves.
 "You are those who have stood by Me in My trials;28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.28 "You have stood by me in the troubles that have tested me.28 But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.28 But ye are they who have persevered with me in my temptations.
 and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;29 So as my Father has given me a kingdom, I'm giving it to you.29 I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,29 And I appoint unto you, as my Father has appointed unto me, a kingdom,
 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.30 You will eat and drink at my table in my kingdom. You will also sit on thrones and judge the twelve tribes of Israel."30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel."30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

 "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat;31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:31 [Then the Lord said,] "Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has demanded to have you apostles for himself. He wants to separate you from me as a farmer separates wheat from husks.31 The Lord said, "Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat,31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to have you, to sift you as wheat;
 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers."32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. So when you recover, strengthen the other disciples."32 but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn't fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers."32 but I have besought for thee that thy faith fail not; and thou, when once thou hast been restored, confirm thy brethren.
 But he said to Him, "Lord, with You I am ready to go both to prison and to death!"33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.33 But Peter said to him, "Lord, I'm ready to go to prison with you and to die with you."33 He said to him, "Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!"33 And he said to him, Lord, with thee I am ready to go both to prison and to death.
 And He said, "I say to you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me."34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.34 Jesus replied, "Peter, I can guarantee that the rooster won't crow tonight until you say three times that you don't know me."34 He said, "I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times."34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow to-day before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.
 And He said to them, "When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?" They said, "No, nothing."35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.35 Then Jesus said to them, "When I sent you out without a wallet, traveling bag, or sandals, you didn't lack anything, did you?" "Not a thing!" they answered.35 He said to them, "When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing."35 And he said to them, When I sent you without purse and scrip and sandals, did ye lack anything? And they said, Nothing.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 And He said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one.36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.36 Then he said to them, "But now, the person who has a wallet and a traveling bag should take them along. The person who doesn't have a sword should sell his coat and buy one.36 Then he said to them, "But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a wallet. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.36 He said therefore to them, But now he that has a purse let him take it, in like manner also a scrip, and he that has none let him sell his garment and buy a sword;
 "For I tell you that this which is written must be fulfilled in Me, 'AND HE WAS NUMBERED WITH TRANSGRESSORS'; for that which refers to Me has its fulfillment."37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end.37 I can guarantee that the Scripture passage which says, 'He was counted with criminals,' must find its fulfillment in me. Indeed, whatever is written about me will come true."37 For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: 'He was counted with transgressors.' For that which concerns me has an end."37 for I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned with the lawless: for also the things concerning me have an end.
 They said, "Lord, look, here are two swords." And He said to them, "It is enough."38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.38 The disciples said, "Lord, look! Here are two swords!" Then Jesus said to them, "That's enough!"38 They said, "Lord, behold, here are two swords." He said to them, "That is enough."38 And they said, Lord, behold here are two swords. And he said to them, It is enough.
The Garden of Gethsemane
 And He came out and proceeded as was His custom to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed Him.39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.39 Jesus went out [of the city] to the Mount of Olives as he usually did. His disciples followed him.39 He came out, and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.39 And going forth he went according to his custom to the mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed him.
 When He arrived at the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation."40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.40 When he arrived, he said to them, "Pray that you won't be tempted."40 When he was at the place, he said to them, "Pray that you don't enter into temptation."40 And when he was at the place he said to them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 And He withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and began to pray,41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,41 Then he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, knelt down, and prayed,41 He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and he knelt down and prayed,41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and having knelt down he prayed,
 saying, "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done."42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.42 "Father, if it is your will, take this cup [of suffering] away from me. However, your will must be done, not mine."42 saying, "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done."42 saying, Father, if thou wilt remove this cup from me: but then, not my will, but thine be done.
 Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and gave him strength.43 An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.43 And an angel appeared to him from heaven strengthening him.
 And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.44 So he prayed very hard in anguish. His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground. 44 Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.44 And being in conflict he prayed more intently. And his sweat became as great drops of blood, falling down upon the earth.
 When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow,45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,45 When Jesus ended his prayer, he got up and went to the disciples. He found them asleep and overcome with sadness.45 When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples, and found them sleeping because of grief,45 And rising up from his prayer, coming to the disciples, he found them sleeping from grief.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 and said to them, "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not enter into temptation."46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.46 He said to them, "Why are you sleeping? Get up, and pray that you won't be tempted."46 and said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation."46 And he said to them, Why sleep ye? rise up and pray that ye enter not into temptation.
Jesus Betrayed by Judas
 While He was still speaking, behold, a crowd came, and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was preceding them; and he approached Jesus to kiss Him.47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.47 While he was still speaking to the disciples, a crowd arrived. The man called Judas, one of the twelve apostles, was leading them. He came close to Jesus to kiss him.47 While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him.47 As he was yet speaking, behold, a crowd, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went on before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss him.
 But Jesus said to him, "Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?"48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?48 Jesus said to him, "Judas, do you intend to betray the Son of Man with a kiss?"48 But Jesus said to him, "Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?"48 And Jesus said to him, Judas, deliverest thou up the Son of man with a kiss?
 When those who were around Him saw what was going to happen, they said, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?"49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?49 The men who were with Jesus saw what was going to happen. So they asked him, "Lord, should we use our swords to fight?"49 When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, "Lord, shall we strike with the sword?"49 And they who were around him, seeing what was going to follow, said to him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
 And one of them struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his right ear.50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.50 One of the disciples cut off the right ear of the chief priest's servant.50 A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.50 And a certain one from among them smote the bondman of the high priest and took off his right ear.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 But Jesus answered and said, "Stop! No more of this." And He touched his ear and healed him.51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.51 But Jesus said, "Stop! That's enough of this." Then he touched the servant's ear and healed him.51 But Jesus answered, "Let me at least do this"--and he touched his ear, and healed him.51 And Jesus answering said, Suffer thus far; and having touched his ear, he healed him.
 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders who had come against Him, "Have you come out with swords and clubs as you would against a robber?52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves?52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests, temple guards, and leaders who had come for him, "Have you come out with swords and clubs as if I were a criminal?52 Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?52 And Jesus said to the chief priests and captains of the temple and elders, who were come against him, Have ye come out as against a robber with swords and sticks?
 "While I was with you daily in the temple, you did not lay hands on Me; but this hour and the power of darkness are yours."53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.53 I was with you in the temple courtyard every day and you didn't try to arrest me. But this is your time, when darkness rules."53 When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn't stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness."53 When I was day by day with you in the temple ye did not stretch out your hands against me; but this is your hour and the power of darkness.
Jesus’ Arrest
 Having arrested Him, they led Him away and brought Him to the house of the high priest; but Peter was following at a distance.54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.54 So they arrested Jesus and led him away to the chief priest's house. Peter followed at a distance.54 They seized him, and led him away, and brought him into the high priest's house. But Peter followed from a distance.54 And having laid hold on him, they led him away, and they led him into the house of the high priest. And Peter followed afar off.
 After they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter was sitting among them.55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.55 Some men had lit a fire in the middle of the courtyard. As they sat together, Peter sat among them.55 When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard, and had sat down together, Peter sat among them.55 And they having lit a fire in the midst of the court and sat down together, Peter sat among them.

 And a servant-girl, seeing him as he sat in the firelight and looking intently at him, said, "This man was with Him too."56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.56 A female servant saw him as he sat facing the glow of the fire. She stared at him and said, "This man was with Jesus."56 A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, "This man also was with him."56 And a certain maid, having seen him sitting by the light, and having fixed her eyes upon him, said, And this man was with him.
 But he denied it, saying, "Woman, I do not know Him."57 And he denied him, saying, Woman, I know him not.57 But Peter denied it by saying, "I don't know him, woman."57 He denied Jesus, saying, "Woman, I don't know him."57 But he denied him, saying, Woman, I do not know him.
 A little later, another saw him and said, "You are one of them too!" But Peter said, "Man, I am not!"58 And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou art also of them. And Peter said, Man, I am not.58 A little later someone else saw Peter and said, "You are one of them." But Peter said, "Not me!"58 After a little while someone else saw him, and said, "You also are one of them!" But Peter answered, "Man, I am not!"58 And after a short time another seeing him said, And thou art of them. But Peter said, Man, I am not.
 After about an hour had passed, another man began to insist, saying, "Certainly this man also was with Him, for he is a Galilean too."59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.59 About an hour later another person insisted, "It's obvious that this man was with him. He's a Galilean!"59 After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, "Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!"59 And after the lapse of about one hour another stoutly maintained it, saying, In truth this man also was with him, for also he is a Galilaean.
 But Peter said, "Man, I do not know what you are talking about." Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.60 But Peter said, "I don't know what you're talking about!" Just then, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.60 But Peter said, "Man, I don't know what you are talking about!" Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, the cock crew.

 The Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had told him, "Before a rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times."61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.61 Then the Lord turned and looked directly at Peter. Peter remembered what the Lord had said: "Before a rooster crows today, you will say three times that you don't know me."61 The Lord turned, and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord's word, how he said to him, "Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times."61 And the Lord, turning round, looked at Peter; and Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he said to him, Before the cock crow thou shalt deny me thrice.
 And he went out and wept bitterly.62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.62 Then Peter went outside and cried bitterly.62 He went out, and wept bitterly.62 And Peter, going forth without, wept bitterly.
 Now the men who were holding Jesus in custody were mocking Him and beating Him,63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.63 The men who were guarding Jesus made fun of him as they beat him.63 The men who held Jesus mocked him and beat him.63 And the men who held him mocked him, beating him;
 and they blindfolded Him and were asking Him, saying, "Prophesy, who is the one who hit You?"64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?64 They blindfolded him and said to him, "Tell us who hit you."64 Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, "Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?"64 and covering him up, asked him saying, Prophesy, who is it that struck thee?
 And they were saying many other things against Him, blaspheming.65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.65 They also insulted him in many other ways.65 They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.65 And they said many other injurious things to him.
Jesus before the Sanhedrin

 When it was day, the Council of elders of the people assembled, both chief priests and scribes, and they led Him away to their council chamber, saying,66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,66 In the morning the council of the people's leaders, the chief priests and the scribes, gathered together. They brought Jesus in front of their highest court and asked him,66 As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people was gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,66 And when it was day, the elderhood of the people, both the chief priests and scribes, were gathered together, and led him into their council, saying,
 "If You are the Christ, tell us." But He said to them, "If I tell you, you will not believe;67 Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:67 "Tell us, are you the Messiah?" Jesus said to them, "If I tell you, you won't believe me.67 "If you are the Christ, tell us." But he said to them, "If I tell you, you won't believe,67 If thou art the Christ, tell us. And he said to them, If I tell you, ye will not at all believe;
 and if I ask a question, you will not answer.68 And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.68 And if I ask you, you won't answer.68 and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.68 and if I should ask you, ye would not answer me at all, nor let me go;
 "But from now on THE SON OF MAN WILL BE SEATED AT THE RIGHT HAND of the power OF GOD."69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.69 But from now on, the Son of Man will be in the highest position in heaven."69 From now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God."69 but henceforth shall the Son of man be sitting on the right hand of the power of God.
 And they all said, "Are You the Son of God, then?" And He said to them, "Yes, I am."70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.70 Then all of them said, "So you're the Son of God?" Jesus answered them, "You're right to say that I am."70 They all said, "Are you then the Son of God?" He said to them, "You say it, because I am."70 And they all said, Thou then art the Son of God? And he said to them, Ye say that I am.

 Then they said, "What further need do we have of testimony? For we have heard it ourselves from His own mouth."71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.71 Then they said, "Why do we need any more testimony? We've heard him say it ourselves."71 They said, "Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!"71 And they said, What need have we any more of witness, for we have heard ourselves out of his mouth?
