Saul and His Sons Slain
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Now the Philistines were fighting against Israel, and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines and fell slain on Mount Gilboa.1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.1 When the Philistines were fighting against Israel, the men of Israel fled from the Philistines and were killed in battle on Mount Gilboa.1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel: and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain on Mount Gilboa.1 And the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain on mount Gilboa.
The Philistines overtook Saul and his sons; and the Philistines killed Jonathan and Abinadab and Malchi-shua the sons of Saul.2 And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Melchishua, Saul's sons.2 The Philistines caught up to Saul and his sons. They killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul's sons.2 The Philistines followed hard on Saul and on his sons; and the Philistines killed Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.2 And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines smote Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul's sons.
The battle went heavily against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was badly wounded by the archers.3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers.3 The heaviest fighting was against Saul. When the archers got him in their range, he was badly wounded by them.3 The battle went hard against Saul, and the archers overtook him; and he was greatly distressed by reason of the archers.3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers came up with him; and he was much terrified by the archers.
Then Saul said to his armor bearer, "Draw your sword and pierce me through with it, otherwise these uncircumcised will come and pierce me through and make sport of me." But his armor bearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. So Saul took his sword and fell on it.4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.4 Saul told his armorbearer, "Draw your sword! Stab me, or these godless men will come, stab me, and make fun of me." But his armorbearer refused because he was terrified. So Saul took the sword and fell on it.4 Then Saul said to his armor bearer, "Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me!" But his armor bearer would not; for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell on it.4 Then said Saul to his armour-bearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through with it; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armour-bearer would not; for he was much afraid. So Saul took the sword and fell on it.
When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell on his sword and died with him.5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise upon his sword, and died with him.5 When the armorbearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell on his sword and died with him.5 When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he likewise fell on his sword, and died with him.5 And when his armour-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on his sword, and died with him.

Thus Saul died with his three sons, his armor bearer, and all his men on that day together.6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armourbearer, and all his men, that same day together.6 So Saul, his three sons, his armorbearer, and all his men died together that day.6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armor bearer, and all his men, that same day together.6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and his armour-bearer, and all his men, that same day together.
When the men of Israel who were on the other side of the valley, with those who were beyond the Jordan, saw that the men of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned the cities and fled; then the Philistines came and lived in them.7 And when the men of Israel that were on the other side of the valley, and they that were on the other side Jordan, saw that the men of Israel fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.7 When the people of Israel on the other side of the valley and across the Jordan River saw that the men of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned their cities. So the Philistines came to live in these cities.7 When the men of Israel who were on the other side of the valley, and those who were beyond the Jordan, saw that the men of Israel fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities, and fled; and the Philistines came and lived in them.7 And when the men of Israel that were on this side of the valley, and they that were on this side of the Jordan, saw that the men of Israel fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
It came about on the next day when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.8 And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen in mount Gilboa.8 The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his three sons lying on Mount Gilboa.8 It happened on the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.8 And it came to pass the next day, that the Philistines came to strip the slain, and they found Saul and his three sons fallen on mount Gilboa.
They cut off his head and stripped off his weapons, and sent them throughout the land of the Philistines, to carry the good news to the house of their idols and to the people.9 And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armor, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people.9 They cut off his head and stripped off his armor. Then they sent men throughout Philistine territory to tell the people this good news in their idols' temples.9 They cut off his head, and stripped off his armor, and sent into the land of the Philistines all around, to carry the news to the house of their idols, and to the people.9 And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent them into the land of the Philistines round about, to announce the glad tidings in the houses of their idols, and to the people.
They put his weapons in the temple of Ashtaroth, and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth-shan.10 And they put his armor in the house of Ashtaroth: and they fastened his body to the wall of Bethshan.10 They put his armor in the temple of their goddesses-the Asherahs-and fastened his corpse to the wall of Beth Shan.10 They put his armor in the house of the Ashtaroth; and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth Shan.10 And they put his armour in the house of Ashtaroth; and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth-shan.
