NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Woe to those who are at ease in Zion And to those who feel secure in the mountain of Samaria, The distinguished men of the foremost of nations, To whom the house of Israel comes.1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!1 How horrible it will be for those who are at ease in Zion, for those who feel secure on the mountain of Samaria, and for the heads of the leading nations, to whom the nation of Israel comes.1 Woe to those who are at ease in Zion, and to those who are secure on the mountain of Samaria, the notable men of the chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come!1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion and that are secure in the mountain of Samaria, the renowned of the first of the nations, to whom the house of Israel come.
 Go over to Calneh and look, And go from there to Hamath the great, Then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are they better than these kingdoms, Or is their territory greater than yours?2 Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines: be they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?2 Go to Calneh and look. Go from there to the great city of Hamath. Then go to Gath, the city of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Is their territory larger than yours?2 Go to Calneh, and see; and from there go to Hamath the great; then go down to Gath of the Philistines. are they better than these kingdoms? or is their border greater than your border?2 Pass unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go to Hamath the great; and go down to Gath of the Philistines: are they better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border?
 Do you put off the day of calamity, And would you bring near the seat of violence?3 Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;3 How horrible it will be for those who think that a day of disaster is far away. They bring the reign of violence closer.3 Those who put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;3 Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
 Those who recline on beds of ivory And sprawl on their couches, And eat lambs from the flock And calves from the midst of the stall,4 That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;4 How horrible it will be for those who sleep on ivory beds. They sprawl out on their couches and eat lambs from their flocks and calves from their stalls.4 Who lie on beds of ivory, and stretch themselves on their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall;4 that lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves from the midst of the stall;
 Who improvise to the sound of the harp, And like David have composed songs for themselves,5 That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David;5 How horrible it will be for those who make up songs as they strum a harp. Like David, they write all kinds of songs for themselves.5 who strum on the strings of a harp; who invent for themselves instruments of music, like David;5 that chant to the sound of the lute, and invent them instruments of music, like David;

 Who drink wine from sacrificial bowls While they anoint themselves with the finest of oils, Yet they have not grieved over the ruin of Joseph.6 That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.6 How horrible it will be for those who drink wine by the jugful. They rub the finest oils all over themselves and are not sorry for the ruin [of the descendants] of Joseph.6 who drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the best oils; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.6 that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments; but are not grieved for the breach of Joseph.
 Therefore, they will now go into exile at the head of the exiles, And the sprawlers' banqueting will pass away.7 Therefore now shall they go captive with the first that go captive, and the banquet of them that stretched themselves shall be removed.7 That is why they will now be the first to go into exile. The celebrating of those sprawled around the banquet table will stop.7 Therefore they will now go captive with the first who go captive; and the feasting and lounging will end.7 Therefore shall they now go captive, with the first that go captive, and the revelry of them that stretched themselves shall pass away.
 The Lord GOD has sworn by Himself, the LORD God of hosts has declared: "I loathe the arrogance of Jacob, And detest his citadels; Therefore I will deliver up the city and all it contains."8 The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.8 The Almighty LORD has sworn an oath on himself. The LORD God of Armies declares: I am disgusted with Jacob's pride, and I hate his palaces. So I will hand over the city and everything in it.8 "The Lord Yahweh has sworn by himself," says Yahweh, the God of Armies: "I abhor the pride of Jacob, and detest his fortresses. Therefore I will deliver up the city with all that is in it.8 The Lord Jehovah hath sworn by himself, saith Jehovah, the God of hosts, I abhor the pride of Jacob, and hate his palaces; and I will deliver up the city with all that is therein.
 And it will be, if ten men are left in one house, they will die.9 And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.9 If ten people are left in one house, they will die.9 It will happen, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.9 And it shall come to pass, if there remain ten men in one house, that they shall die.
 Then one's uncle, or his undertaker, will lift him up to carry out his bones from the house, and he will say to the one who is in the innermost part of the house, "Is anyone else with you?" And that one will say, "No one." Then he will answer, "Keep quiet. For the name of the LORD is not to be mentioned."10 And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD.10 If a relative or a mortician comes to take the dead bodies out of the house and asks someone who is inside the house, "Is there anyone else with you?" that person will answer, "No." "Hush," he will add. "We shouldn't mention the name of the LORD!"10 "When a man's relative carries him, even he who burns him, to bring bodies out of the house, and asks him who is in the innermost parts of the house, 'Is there yet any with you?' And he says, 'No;' then he will say, 'Hush! Indeed we must not mention the name of Yahweh.'10 And a man's uncle, and he that should burn him, shall take him up to bring out the bones from the house, and shall say unto him that is in the inner parts of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, None. And he will say, Silence! for we may not make mention of Jehovah's name.

 For behold, the LORD is going to command that the great house be smashed to pieces and the small house to fragments.11 For, behold, the LORD commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.11 The LORD is going to give the command to level big houses and flatten little houses.11 "For, behold, Yahweh commands, and the great house will be smashed to pieces, and the little house into bits.11 For behold, Jehovah commandeth, and he will smite the great house with breaches, and the little house with clefts.
 Do horses run on rocks? Or does one plow them with oxen? Yet you have turned justice into poison And the fruit of righteousness into wormwood,12 Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:12 Do horses run on rocks? Does a farmer plow the sea with oxen? Yet, you have turned justice into something deadly and what is righteous into poison.12 Do horses run on the rocky crags? Does one plow there with oxen? But you have turned justice into poison, and the fruit of righteousness into bitterness;12 Shall horses run upon the rock? will men plough thereon with oxen? For ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into wormwood,
 You who rejoice in Lodebar, And say, "Have we not by our own strength taken Karnaim for ourselves?"13 Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength?13 How horrible it will be for those who rejoice over Lo Debar and who say, "We were strong enough to capture Karnaim by ourselves."13 you who rejoice in a thing of nothing, who say, 'Haven't we taken for ourselves horns by our own strength?'13 ye that rejoice in a thing of nought, that say, have We not taken to us power by our own strength?
 "For behold, I am going to raise up a nation against you, O house of Israel," declares the LORD God of hosts, "And they will afflict you from the entrance of Hamath To the brook of the Arabah."14 But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.14 I am going to lead a nation to attack you, nation of Israel, declares the LORD God of the Armies of the Nations. They will oppress you from the border of Hamath to the valley of Arabah.14 For, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, house of Israel," says Yahweh, the God of Armies; "and they will afflict you from the entrance of Hamath to the brook of the Arabah."14 For behold, O house of Israel, saith Jehovah the God of hosts, I will raise up against you a nation; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hamath unto the torrent of the Arabah.
