The Prophet’s Call
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
1 Then He said to me, "Son of man, stand on your feet that I may speak with you!"1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.1 He said to me, "Son of man, stand up, and I will speak to you."1 He said to me, Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak with thee.
2 As He spoke to me the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet; and I heard Him speaking to me.2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.2 As he spoke to me, the Spirit entered me, stood me on my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.2 The Spirit entered into me when he spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard him who spoke to me.2 And the Spirit entered into me when he spoke unto me, and set me upon my feet; and I heard him that spoke unto me.
3 Then He said to me, "Son of man, I am sending you to the sons of Israel, to a rebellious people who have rebelled against Me; they and their fathers have transgressed against Me to this very day.3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.3 He said to me, "Son of man, I am sending you to the people of Israel. They are people from a nation that has rebelled against me. They and their ancestors have rebelled against me to this day.3 He said to me, Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me unto this very day;
4 "I am sending you to them who are stubborn and obstinate children, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD.'4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.4 I am sending you to these defiant and stubborn children. Tell them, 'This is what the Almighty LORD says.'4 The children are impudent and stiff-hearted: I am sending you to them; and you shall tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh.4 and these children are impudent and hard-hearted: I am sending thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah.
5 "As for them, whether they listen or not-- for they are a rebellious house-- they will know that a prophet has been among them.5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.5 Whether these rebellious people listen or not, they will realize that a prophet has been among them.5 They, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house), yet shall know that there has been a prophet among them.5 And they, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear for they are a rebellious house yet shall they know that there hath been a prophet among them.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
6 "And you, son of man, neither fear them nor fear their words, though thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; neither fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, for they are a rebellious house.6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.6 Son of man, don't be afraid of them or the things they say. Don't be afraid, even though thorns and thistles are around you and you live among scorpions. Don't let the things they say frighten you. Don't be terrified in their presence, even though they are rebellious people.6 You, son of man, don't be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you do dwell among scorpions: don't be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, and be not afraid of their words; for briars and thorns are with thee, and thou dwellest among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, and be not dismayed at their faces; for they are a rebellious house.
7 "But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not, for they are rebellious.7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.7 Speak my words to them whether they listen or not, because they are rebellious.7 You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are most rebellious.7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear or whether they will forbear; for they are rebellious.
8 "Now you, son of man, listen to what I am speaking to you; do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth and eat what I am giving you."8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.8 But you, son of man, listen to what I say. Don't be rebellious like those rebellious people. Open your mouth, and eat what I am giving to you."8 But you, son of man, hear what I tell you; don't be rebellious like that rebellious house: open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.8 And thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
9 Then I looked, and behold, a hand was extended to me; and lo, a scroll was in it.9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;9 As I looked, I saw a hand stretched out toward me. In it was a scroll.9 When I looked, behold, a hand was put forth to me; and, behold, a scroll of a book was therein;9 And I looked, and behold, a hand was put forth toward me; and behold, a roll of a book therein.
10 When He spread it out before me, it was written on the front and back, and written on it were lamentations, mourning and woe.10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.10 He spread the scroll in front of me. There was writing on the front and back. There were funeral songs, songs of mourning, and horrible things written on it.10 He spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.10 And he spread it out before me; and it was written within and without; and there were written in it lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
