Siege of Jerusalem Predicted
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"Now you son of man, get yourself a brick, place it before you and inscribe a city on it, Jerusalem.1 Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:1 [The LORD said,] "Son of man, take clay, put it in front of you, and draw a map of Jerusalem on it.1 You also, son of man, take a tile, and lay it before yourself, and portray on it a city, even Jerusalem:1 And thou, son of man, take thee a brick, and lay it before thee, and portray upon it a city, Jerusalem:
"Then lay siege against it, build a siege wall, raise up a ramp, pitch camps and place battering rams against it all around.2 And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.2 Set up a blockade against it, build attack walls around it, put up dirt ramps around it, have troops ready to attack it, and place battering rams all around it.2 and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it, and plant battering rams against it all around.2 and lay siege against it, and build forts against it, and cast a mound against it, and set camps against it, and place battering-rams against it round about.
"Then get yourself an iron plate and set it up as an iron wall between you and the city, and set your face toward it so that it is under siege, and besiege it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.3 Then take an iron pan, and set it up as a wall between you and the city. Turn your face toward the city as if you were going to attack it, and then attack it. This is a sign for the people of Israel.3 Take for yourself an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city: and set your face toward it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.3 And take thou unto thee an iron plate, and put it for a wall of iron between thee and the city; and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it: this shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
"As for you, lie down on your left side and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; you shall bear their iniquity for the number of days that you lie on it.4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.4 "Then lie on your left side and take the punishment of the nation of Israel yourself. You will bear its punishment as many days as you lie on that side.4 Moreover lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; [according to] the number of the days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.4 And thou, lie upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: the number of the days that thou liest upon it, thou shalt bear their iniquity.
"For I have assigned you a number of days corresponding to the years of their iniquity, three hundred and ninety days; thus you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.5 I have assigned to you one day for each year its punishment will last. So for 390 days, you will bear the punishment for the sins of the nation of Israel.5 For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days, even three hundred ninety days: so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.5 And I have appointed thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days; and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"When you have completed these, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side and bear the iniquity of the house of Judah; I have assigned it to you for forty days, a day for each year.6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.6 When you finish this, you will lie down again, this time on your right side. You will bear the punishment for the sins of the nation of Judah for 40 days, one day for each year I have assigned to you.6 Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah: forty days, each day for a year, have I appointed it to you.6 And when thou hast accomplished them, thou shalt lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
"Then you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem with your arm bared and prophesy against it.7 Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.7 Turn your face toward the blockaded Jerusalem. Shake your fist and prophesy against it.7 You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it.7 And thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
"Now behold, I will put ropes on you so that you cannot turn from one side to the other until you have completed the days of your siege.8 And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.8 I will tie you up with ropes so that you will not be able to turn from one side to the other until you have finished attacking [Jerusalem].8 Behold, I lay bands on you, and you shall not turn you from one side to the other, until you have accomplished the days of your siege.8 And behold, I lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thyself from one side to the other, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
Defiled Bread
"But as for you, take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet and spelt, put them in one vessel and make them into bread for yourself; you shall eat it according to the number of the days that you lie on your side, three hundred and ninety days.9 Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.9 "Then take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and winter wheat. Put them in a container, and use them to make bread for yourself. Eat it during the 390 days that you are lying on your side.9 Take for yourself also wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make bread of it; [according to] the number of the days that you shall lie on your side, even three hundred ninety days, you shall eat of it.9 And thou, take unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentils, and millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou liest upon thy side: three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
"Your food which you eat shall be twenty shekels a day by weight; you shall eat it from time to time.10 And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.10 The food that you eat should be weighed. Eat eight ounces of food every day at set times.10 Your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time you shall eat it.10 And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.

"The water you drink shall be the sixth part of a hin by measure; you shall drink it from time to time.11 Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.11 Measure out two-thirds of a quart of water, and drink it at set times.11 You shall drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time you shall drink.11 And thou shalt drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
"You shall eat it as a barley cake, having baked it in their sight over human dung."12 And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.12 Eat the bread as you would eat barley loaves. Bake the bread in front of people, using human excrement for fuel."12 You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.12 And thou shalt eat it as barley-cake, and thou shalt bake it in their sight with dung that cometh out of man.
Then the LORD said, "Thus will the sons of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations where I will banish them."13 And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.13 Then the LORD said, "In the same way, the people of Israel will eat unclean bread among the nations where I scatter them." 13 Yahweh said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive them.13 And Jehovah said, So shall the children of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations whither I will drive them.
But I said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I have never been defiled; for from my youth until now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has any unclean meat ever entered my mouth."14 Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.14 I answered, "Almighty LORD, I have never dishonored myself. From the time I was young until now, I have never eaten an animal that died by itself or was killed by other wild animals. No unclean meat has ever entered my mouth."14 Then I said, Ah Lord Yahweh! behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.14 Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! behold, my soul hath not been defiled, and from my youth up even until now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or of that which is torn; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
Then He said to me, "See, I will give you cow's dung in place of human dung over which you will prepare your bread."15 Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.15 He said to me, "I will let you use cow manure in place of human excrement. Bake your bread over it."15 Then he said to me, Behold, I have given you cow's dung for man's dung, and you shall prepare your bread thereon.15 And he said unto me, See, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.

Moreover, He said to me, "Son of man, behold, I am going to break the staff of bread in Jerusalem, and they will eat bread by weight and with anxiety, and drink water by measure and in horror,16 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:16 He also said to me, "Son of man, I am going to cut off the bread supply in Jerusalem. People will anxiously eat rationed bread and fearfully drink rationed water.16 Moreover he said to me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness; and they shall drink water by measure, and in dismay:16 And he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread by weight, and with anxiety; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
because bread and water will be scarce; and they will be appalled with one another and waste away in their iniquity.17 That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.17 They will be shocked at the sight of each other because of the lack of food and water. They will waste away because of their sin."17 that they may want bread and water, and be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.17 because bread and water shall fail them, and they shall be astonied one with another, and waste away in their iniquity.
