| 1 Behold, the LORD lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants. | 1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. | 1 The LORD is going to turn the earth into a desolate wasteland. | 16 From the ends of the earth we hear songs, "Glory to the Righteous One," But I say, "Woe to me! Woe to me! Alas for me!
