Hezekiah Healed
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD, 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.'"1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.1 In those days Hezekiah became sick and was about to die. The prophet Isaiah, son of Amoz, came to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Give final instructions to your household, because you're about to die. You won't get well."1 In those days was Hezekiah sick and near death. Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, came to him, and said to him, "Thus says Yahweh, 'Set your house in order, for you will die, and not live.'"1 In those days Hezekiah was sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, Thus saith Jehovah: Set thy house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD,2 Hezekiah turned to the wall and prayed to the LORD.2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to Yahweh,2 And Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Jehovah,
and said, "Remember now, O LORD, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.3 "Please, LORD, remember how I've lived faithfully and sincerely in your presence. I've done what you consider right." And he cried bitterly.3 and said, "Remember now, Yahweh, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in your sight." Hezekiah wept bitterly.3 and said, Ah, Jehovah, remember, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept much.
Then the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying,4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,4 Then the LORD spoke his word to Isaiah,4 Then the word of Yahweh came to Isaiah, saying,4 And the word of Jehovah came to Isaiah, saying,
"Go and say to Hezekiah, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of your father David, "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.5 "Go and say to Hezekiah, 'This is what the LORD God of your ancestor David says: I've heard your prayer. I've seen your tears. I'm going to give you 15 more years to live.5 "Go, and tell Hezekiah, 'Thus says Yahweh, the God of David your father, "I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.5 Go and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father: I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add to thy days fifteen years.

"I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city."'6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.6 I'll rescue you and defend this city from the control of the king of Assyria.'"6 I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city.
"This shall be the sign to you from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that He has spoken:7 And this shall be a sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken;7 [Isaiah said,] "This is your sign from the LORD that he will do what he promises.7 This shall be the sign to you from Yahweh, that Yahweh will do this thing that he has spoken.7 And this shall be the sign to thee from Jehovah, that Jehovah will do this thing that he hath spoken:
"Behold, I will cause the shadow on the stairway, which has gone down with the sun on the stairway of Ahaz, to go back ten steps." So the sun's shadow went back ten steps on the stairway on which it had gone down.8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.8 The sun made a shadow that went down the stairway of Ahaz's upper palace. I'm going to make the shadow go back ten steps." So the sun on the stairway went back up the ten steps it had gone down.8 Behold, I will cause the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps on the sundial on which it had gone down."'"8 behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees which hath gone down with the sun on the dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned on the dial ten degrees, by which it had gone down.
A writing of Hezekiah king of Judah after his illness and recovery:9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:9 King Hezekiah of Judah wrote this after he was sick and became well again:9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and had recovered of his sickness.9 The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick and had recovered from his sickness:
I said, "In the middle of my life I am to enter the gates of Sheol; I am to be deprived of the rest of my years."10 I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.10 I thought that in the prime of my life I would go down to the gates of Sheol and be robbed of the rest of my life.10 I said, "In the middle of my life I go into the gates of Sheol. I am deprived of the residue of my years."10 I said, In the meridian of my days I shall go to the gates of Sheol: I am deprived of the rest of my years.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
I said, "I will not see the LORD, The LORD in the land of the living; I will look on man no more among the inhabitants of the world.11 I said, I shall not see the LORD, even the LORD, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.11 I thought that I wouldn't see the LORD in this world. Even with all the people in the world, I thought I would never see another person.11 I said, "I won't see Yah, Yah in the land of the living. I will see man no more with the inhabitants of the world.11 I said, I shall not see Jah, Jah in the land of the living. With those who dwell where all has ceased to be, I shall behold man no more.
"Like a shepherd's tent my dwelling is pulled up and removed from me; As a weaver I rolled up my life. He cuts me off from the loom; From day until night You make an end of me.12 Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.12 My life was over. You rolled it up like a shepherd's tent. You rolled up my life like a weaver. You cut me off from the loom. You ended my life in one day.12 My dwelling is removed, and is carried away from me like a shepherd's tent. I have rolled up, like a weaver, my life. He will cut me off from the loom. From day even to night you will make an end of me.12 Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent. I have cut off like a weaver my life. He separateth me from the thrum: from day to night thou wilt make an end of me.
"I composed my soul until morning. Like a lion-- so He breaks all my bones, From day until night You make an end of me.13 I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.13 I cried out until morning as if a lion had crushed all my bones. You ended my life in one day.13 I waited patiently until morning. He breaks all my bones like a lion. From day even to night you will make an end of me.13 I kept still until the morning; ... as a lion, so doth he break all my bones. From day to night thou wilt make an end of me.
"Like a swallow, like a crane, so I twitter; I moan like a dove; My eyes look wistfully to the heights; O Lord, I am oppressed, be my security.14 Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me.14 I chirped like swallows and cranes. I cooed like doves. My eyes were tired from looking up to heaven. I've suffered miserably, O Lord! Please help me!14 I chattered like a swallow or a crane. I moaned like a dove. My eyes weaken looking upward. Lord, I am oppressed. Be my security."14 Like a swallow or a crane, so did I chatter; I mourned as a dove; mine eyes failed with looking upward: Lord, I am oppressed; undertake for me.
"What shall I say? For He has spoken to me, and He Himself has done it; I will wander about all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.15 What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.15 What can I say now that he has spoken to me? He has done this. I will be careful the rest of my life because of my bitter experience. 15 What will I say? He has both spoken to me, and himself has done it. I will walk carefully all my years because of the anguish of my soul.15 What shall I say? He hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it. I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.

"O Lord, by these things men live, And in all these is the life of my spirit; O restore me to health and let me live!16 O LORD, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.16 Lord, people live in spite of such things, and I have the will to live in spite of them. You give me health and keep me alive.16 Lord, men live by these things; and my spirit finds life in all of them: you restore me, and cause me to live.16 Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit; and thou hast recovered me, and made me to live.
"Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; It is You who has kept my soul from the pit of nothingness, For You have cast all my sins behind Your back.17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.17 Now my bitter experience turns into peace. You have saved me and kept me from the rotting pit. You have thrown all my sins behind you.17 Behold, for peace I had great anguish, but you have in love for my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for you have cast all my sins behind your back.17 Behold, instead of peace I had bitterness upon bitterness; but thou hast in love delivered my soul from the pit of destruction; for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.
"For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.18 For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.18 Sheol doesn't thank you! Death doesn't praise you! Those who go down to the pit cannot expect you to be faithful.18 For Sheol can't praise you. Death can't celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can't hope for your truth.18 For not Sheol shall praise thee, nor death celebrate thee; they that go down into the pit do not hope for thy truth.
"It is the living who give thanks to You, as I do today; A father tells his sons about Your faithfulness.19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.19 Those who are living praise you as I do today. Fathers make your faithfulness known to their children.19 The living, the living, he shall praise you, as I do this day. The father shall make known your truth to the children.19 The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
"The LORD will surely save me; So we will play my songs on stringed instruments All the days of our life at the house of the LORD."20 The LORD was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the LORD.20 The LORD is going to rescue me, so let us play stringed instruments. We live our lives in the LORD's temple.20 Yahweh will save me. Therefore we will sing my songs with stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of Yahweh.20 Jehovah was purposed to save me. And we will play upon my stringed instruments all the days of our life, in the house of Jehovah.

Now Isaiah had said, "Let them take a cake of figs and apply it to the boil, that he may recover."21 For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.21 Then Isaiah said, "Take a fig cake, and place it over the boil so that the king will get well."21 Now Isaiah had said, "Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover."21 Now Isaiah had said, Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a plaster upon the boil, and he shall recover.
Then Hezekiah had said, "What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?"22 Hezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the LORD?22 Hezekiah asked, "What is the sign that I'll go to the LORD's temple?" 22 Hezekiah also had said, "What is the sign that I will go up to the house of Yahweh?"22 And Hezekiah had said, What is the sign that I shall go up into the house of Jehovah?
