Damascus and Samaria Fall
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Then the LORD said to me, "Take for yourself a large tablet and write on it in ordinary letters: Swift is the booty, speedy is the prey.1 Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.1 The LORD said to me, "Take a large writing tablet, and write on it with a pen: 'Maher Shalal Hash Baz' [The Looting Will Come Quickly; the Prey Will Be Easy].1 Yahweh said to me, "Take a large tablet, and write on it with a man's pen, 'For Maher Shalal Hash Baz;'1 And Jehovah said to me, Take thee a great tablet, and write thereon with a man's style, concerning Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
"And I will take to Myself faithful witnesses for testimony, Uriah the priest and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah."2 And I took unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.2 I will have these dependable witnesses testify: the priest Uriah and Zechariah (son of Jeberechiah)."2 and I will take for myself faithful witnesses to testify: Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah."2 And I took unto me to witness, sure witnesses, Urijah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah.
So I approached the prophetess, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. Then the LORD said to me, "Name him Maher-shalal-hash-baz;3 And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name Mahershalalhashbaz.3 I slept with the prophet. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son. The LORD told me, "Name him Maher Shalal Hash Baz.3 I went to the prophetess, and she conceived, and bore a son. Then Yahweh said to me, "Call his name 'Maher Shalal Hash Baz.'3 And I came near to the prophetess, and she conceived and bore a son; and Jehovah said unto me, Call his name, Maher-shalal-hash-baz.
for before the boy knows how to cry out 'My father ' or 'My mother,' the wealth of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be carried away before the king of Assyria."4 For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.4 Before the boy knows how to say 'Daddy' or 'Mommy,' the wealth of Damascus and the loot from Samaria will be carried away to the king of Assyria."4 For before the child knows how to say, 'My father,' and, 'My mother,' the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria will be carried away by the king of Assyria."4 For before the lad knoweth to cry, My father! and, My mother! the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria.
Again the LORD spoke to me further, saying,5 The LORD spake also unto me again, saying,5 The LORD spoke to me again. He said,5 Yahweh spoke to me yet again, saying,5 And Jehovah spoke again to me, saying,

"Inasmuch as these people have rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah And rejoice in Rezin and the son of Remaliah;6 Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;6 "These people have rejected the gently flowing water of Shiloah and find joy in Rezin and Remaliah's son."6 "Because this people have refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah's son;6 Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah which flow softly, and rejoiceth in Rezin and in the son of Remaliah,
"Now therefore, behold, the Lord is about to bring on them the strong and abundant waters of the Euphrates, Even the king of Assyria and all his glory; And it will rise up over all its channels and go over all its banks.7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:7 That is why the Lord is going to bring against them the raging and powerful floodwaters of the Euphrates River- the king of Assyria with all his power. It will overflow all its channels and go over all its banks.7 now therefore, behold, the Lord brings upon them the mighty flood waters of the River: the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will come up over all its channels, and go over all its banks.7 therefore behold, the Lord will bring up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, the king of Assyria and all his glory; and he shall mount up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
"Then it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass through, It will reach even to the neck; And the spread of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, O Immanuel.8 And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.8 It will sweep through Judah. It will overflow and pass through; it will be neck-high. Its outspread wings will extend over your whole country, O Immanuel.8 It will sweep onward into Judah. It will overflow and pass through; it will reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of its wings will fill the breadth of your land, Immanuel.8 and he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow it and go further, he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel!
A Believing Remnant
"Be broken, O peoples, and be shattered; And give ear, all remote places of the earth. Gird yourselves, yet be shattered; Gird yourselves, yet be shattered.9 Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.9 Be broken, you people. Be terrified. Listen, all you distant parts of the earth. Prepare for battle, but be terrified. Prepare for battle, but be terrified.9 Make an uproar, you peoples, and be broken in pieces! Listen, all you from far countries: dress for battle, and be shattered! Dress for battle, and be shattered!9 Rage, ye peoples, and be broken in pieces! And give ear, all ye distant parts of the earth: Gird yourselves, and be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and be broken in pieces!
"Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; State a proposal, but it will not stand, For God is with us."10 Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.10 Make plans for battle, but they will never succeed. Give orders, but they won't be carried out, because God is with us!10 Take counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand: for God is with us."10 Settle a plan, and it shall come to nought; speak a word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

For thus the LORD spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,11 For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying,11 This is what the LORD said with his powerful hand on me. He warned me not to follow the ways of these people:11 For Yahweh spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,11 For Jehovah spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and he instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,
"You are not to say, 'It is a conspiracy!' In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.12 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.12 "Don't say that everything these people call a conspiracy is a conspiracy. Don't fear what they fear. Don't let it terrify you."12 "Don't say, 'A conspiracy!' concerning all about which this people say, 'A conspiracy!' neither fear their threats, nor be terrorized.12 Ye shall not say, Conspiracy, of everything of which this people saith, Conspiracy; and fear ye not their fear, and be not in dread.
"It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, And He shall be your dread.13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.13 Remember that the LORD of Armies is holy. He is the one you should fear and the one you should be terrified of.13 Yahweh of Armies is who you must respect as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.13 Jehovah of hosts, him shall ye sanctify; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
"Then He shall become a sanctuary; But to both the houses of Israel, a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over, And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.14 He will be a place of safety for you. But he will be a rock that makes people trip and a stumbling block for both kingdoms of Israel. He will be a trap and a snare for those who live in Jerusalem.14 He will be a sanctuary, but for both houses of Israel, he will be a trap and a snare for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.14 And he will be for a sanctuary; and for a stone of stumbling, and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
"Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will even be snared and caught."15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.15 Many will stumble. They will fall and be broken. They will be trapped and caught.15 Many will stumble over it, fall, be broken, be snared, and be captured."15 And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.16 Tie up the written instructions. Seal the teachings among my disciples.16 Wrap up the testimony. Seal the law among my disciples.16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
And I will wait for the LORD who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob; I will even look eagerly for Him.17 And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.17 I will wait for the LORD, who hides his face from the descendants of Jacob. I will hope in him.17 I will wait for Yahweh, who hides his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.17 And I will wait for Jehovah, who hideth his face from the house of Jacob; and I will look for him.
Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion.18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.18 I am here with the children that the LORD has given me. We are signs and symbols in Israel from the LORD of Armies, who lives on Mount Zion.18 Behold, I and the children whom Yahweh has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from Yahweh of Armies, who dwells in Mount Zion.18 Behold, I and the children that Jehovah hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel, from Jehovah of hosts, who dwelleth in mount Zion.
When they say to you, "Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter," should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?19 People will say to you, "Ask for help from the mediums and the fortunetellers, who whisper and mutter." Shouldn't people ask their God for help instead? Why should they ask the dead to help the living?19 When they tell you, "Consult with those who have familiar spirits and with the wizards, who chirp and who mutter:" shouldn't a people consult with their God? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto the necromancers and unto the soothsayers, who chirp and who mutter, say, Shall not a people seek unto their God? Will they go for the living unto the dead?
To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.20 They should go to the teachings and to the written instructions. If people don't speak these words, it is because it doesn't dawn on them.20 Turn to the law and to the testimony! If they don't speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.20 To the law and the testimony! If they speak not according to this word, for them there is no daybreak.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
They will pass through the land hard-pressed and famished, and it will turn out that when they are hungry, they will be enraged and curse their king and their God as they face upward.21 And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward.21 They will pass through the land when they are hard-pressed and hungry. When they are hungry, they will be furious. Then they will look up, cursing their king and God.21 They will pass through it, very distressed and hungry; and it will happen that when they are hungry, they will worry, and curse by their king and by their God. They will turn their faces upward,21 And they shall pass through it, hard pressed and hungry; and it shall come to pass when they are hungry, they will fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and will gaze upward:
Then they will look to the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and they will be driven away into darkness.22 And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness.22 They will look at the earth and see only distress and gloom. They will go in anguish and be forced into darkness.22 and look to the earth, and see distress, darkness, and the gloom of anguish. They will be driven into thick darkness.22 and they will look to the earth; and behold, trouble and darkness, gloom of anguish; and they shall be driven into thick darkness.
