The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, But the mouth of fools spouts folly.2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.2 The tongues of wise people give good expression to knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out a flood of stupidity.2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of fools gush out folly.2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright; but the mouth of the foolish poureth out folly.
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Watching the evil and the good.3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.3 The eyes of the LORD are everywhere. They watch evil people and good people.3 Yahweh's eyes are everywhere, keeping watch on the evil and the good.3 The eyes of Jehovah are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
A soothing tongue is a tree of life, But perversion in it crushes the spirit.4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.4 A soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue breaks the spirit.4 A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but deceit in it crushes the spirit.4 Gentleness of tongue is a tree of life; but crookedness therein is a breaking of the spirit.
A fool rejects his father's discipline, But he who regards reproof is sensible.5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.5 A stubborn fool despises his father's discipline, but whoever appreciates a warning shows good sense.5 A fool despises his father's correction, but he who heeds reproof shows prudence.5 A fool despiseth his father's instruction; but he that regardeth reproof becometh prudent.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Great wealth is in the house of the righteous, But trouble is in the income of the wicked.6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.6 Great treasure is in the house of a righteous person, but trouble comes along with the income of a wicked person.6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure, but the income of the wicked brings trouble.6 In the house of a righteous man is much treasure; but in the revenue of a wicked man is disturbance.
The lips of the wise spread knowledge, But the hearts of fools are not so.7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.7 The lips of wise people spread knowledge, but a foolish attitude does not.7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so with the heart of fools.7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge, but not so the heart of the foolish.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.8 A sacrifice brought by wicked people is disgusting to the LORD, but the prayers of decent people please him.8 The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But He loves one who pursues righteousness.9 The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.9 The way of wicked people is disgusting to the LORD, but he loves those who pursue righteousness.9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but he loves him who follows after righteousness.9 The way of a wicked man is an abomination to Jehovah; but him that pursueth righteousness he loveth.
Grievous punishment is for him who forsakes the way; He who hates reproof will die.10 Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.10 Discipline is a terrible [burden] to anyone who leaves the [right] path. Anyone who hates a warning will die.10 There is stern discipline for one who forsakes the way: whoever hates reproof shall die.10 Grievous correction is for him that forsaketh the path; he that hateth reproof shall die.

Sheol and Abaddon lie open before the LORD, How much more the hearts of men!11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?11 If Sheol and Abaddon lie open in front of the LORD how much more the human heart!11 Sheol and Abaddon are before Yahweh-- how much more then the hearts of the children of men!11 Sheol and destruction are before Jehovah; how much more then the hearts of the children of men!

All the days of the afflicted are bad, But a cheerful heart has a continual feast.15 All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.15 Every day is a terrible day for a miserable person, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast.15 All the days of the afflicted are wretched, but one who has a cheerful heart enjoys a continual feast.15 All the days of the afflicted are evil; but a cheerful heart is a continual feast.

A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, But the slow to anger calms a dispute.18 A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.18 A hothead stirs up a fight, but one who holds his temper calms disputes.18 A wrathful man stirs up contention, but one who is slow to anger appeases strife.18 A furious man stirreth up contention; but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
The way of the lazy is as a hedge of thorns, But the path of the upright is a highway.19 The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.19 The path of lazy people is like a thorny hedge, but the road of decent people is an [open] highway.19 The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, but the path of the upright is a highway.19 The way of the sluggard is as a hedge of thorns; but the path of the upright is made plain.

NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Folly is joy to him who lacks sense, But a man of understanding walks straight.21 Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.21 Stupidity is fun to the one without much sense, but a person who has understanding forges straight ahead.21 Folly is joy to one who is void of wisdom, but a man of understanding keeps his way straight.21 Folly is joy to him that is void of sense; but a man of understanding regulateth his walk.
Without consultation, plans are frustrated, But with many counselors they succeed.22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.22 Without advice plans go wrong, but with many advisers they succeed.22 Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established.22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed; but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
A man has joy in an apt answer, And how delightful is a timely word!23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!23 A person is delighted to hear an answer from his own mouth, and a timely word-oh, how good!23 Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!23 A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth; and a word in its season, how good is it!
The path of life leads upward for the wise That he may keep away from Sheol below.24 The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.24 The path of life for a wise person leads upward in order to turn him away from hell below.24 The path of life leads upward for the wise, to keep him from going downward to Sheol.24 The path of life is upwards for the wise, that he may depart from Sheol beneath.
The LORD will tear down the house of the proud, But He will establish the boundary of the widow.25 The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.25 The LORD tears down the house of an arrogant person, but he protects the property of widows.25 Yahweh will uproot the house of the proud, but he will keep the widow's borders intact.25 Jehovah plucketh up the house of the proud; but he establisheth the boundary of the widow.

He who profits illicitly troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.27 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.27 Whoever is greedy for unjust gain brings trouble to his family, but whoever hates bribes will live.27 He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes will live.27 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
