 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual men, but as to men of flesh, as to infants in Christ.1 And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.1 Brothers and sisters, I couldn't talk to you as spiritual people but as people still influenced by your corrupt nature. You were infants in your faith in Christ.1 Brothers, I couldn't speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.1 And I, brethren, have not been able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly; as to babes in Christ.
 I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able,2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.2 I gave you milk to drink. I didn't give you solid food because you weren't ready for it. Even now you aren't ready for it2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you weren't yet ready. Indeed, not even now are you ready,2 I have given you milk to drink, not meat, for ye have not yet been able, nor indeed are ye yet able;
 for you are still fleshly. For since there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not fleshly, and are you not walking like mere men?3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?3 because you're still influenced by your corrupt nature. When you are jealous and quarrel among yourselves, aren't you influenced by your corrupt nature and living by human standards?3 for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren't you fleshly, and don't you walk in the ways of men?3 for ye are yet carnal. For whereas there are among you emulation and strife, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man?
 For when one says, "I am of Paul," and another, "I am of Apollos," are you not mere men?4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?4 When some of you say, "I follow Paul" and others say, "I follow Apollos," aren't you acting like [sinful] humans?4 For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," aren't you fleshly?4 For when one says, I am of Paul, and another, I of Apollos, are ye not men?
 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Servants through whom you believed, even as the Lord gave opportunity to each one.5 Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?5 Who is Apollos? Who is Paul? They are servants who helped you come to faith. Each did what the Lord gave him to do.5 Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed; and each as the Lord gave to him?5 Who then is Apollos, and who Paul? Ministering servants, through whom ye have believed, and as the Lord has given to each.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth.6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.6 I planted, and Apollos watered, but God made it grow.6 I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.6 I have planted; Apollos watered; but God has given the increase.
 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but God who causes the growth.7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is important because [only] God makes it grow.7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.7 So that neither the planter is anything, nor the waterer; but God the giver of the increase.
 Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.8 The one who plants and the one who waters have the same goal, and each will receive a reward for his own work.8 Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.8 But the planter and the waterer are one; but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.
 For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building.9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.9 We are God's coworkers. You are God's field. You are God's building.9 For we are God's fellow workers. You are God's farming, God's building.9 For we are God's fellow-workmen; ye are God's husbandry, God's building.
 According to the grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it.10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.10 As a skilled and experienced builder, I used the gift that God gave me to lay the foundation [for that building]. However, someone else is building on it. Each person must be careful how he builds on it.10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it.10 According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 For no man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.11 After all, no one can lay any other foundation than the one that is already laid, and that foundation is Jesus Christ.11 For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.11 For other foundation can no man lay besides that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
 Now if any man builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw,12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;12 People may build on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw.12 But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble;12 Now if any one build upon this foundation, gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, straw,
 each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work.13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.13 The day will make what each one does clearly visible because fire will reveal it. That fire will determine what kind of work each person has done.13 each man's work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man's work is.13 the work of each shall be made manifest; for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire shall try the work of each what it is.
 If any man's work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward.14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.14 If what a person has built survives, he will receive a reward.14 If any man's work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward.14 If the work of any one which he has built upon the foundation shall abide, he shall receive a reward.
 If any man's work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.15 If his work is burned up, he will suffer [the loss]. However, he will be saved, though it will be like going through a fire.15 If any man's work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.15 If the work of any one shall be consumed, he shall suffer loss, but he shall be saved, but so as through the fire.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?16 Don't you know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?16 Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you?16 Do ye not know that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
 If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him because God's temple is holy. You are that holy temple!17 If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, which you are.17 If any one corrupt the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.
 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.18 Don't deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise in the ways of this world, you should give up that wisdom in order to become really wise.18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.18 Let no one deceive himself: if any one thinks himself to be wise among you in this world, let him become foolish, that he may be wise.
 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, "He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE IN THEIR CRAFTINESS";19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.19 The wisdom of this world is nonsense in God's sight. That's why Scripture says, "God catches the wise in their cleverness."19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, "He has taken the wise in their craftiness."19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God; for it is written, He who takes the wise in their craftiness.
 and again, "THE LORD KNOWS THE REASONINGS of the wise, THAT THEY ARE USELESS."20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.20 Again Scripture says, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are pointless."20 And again, "The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless."20 And again, The Lord knows the reasonings of the wise that they are vain.

 So then let no one boast in men. For all things belong to you,21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;21 So don't brag about people. Everything belongs to you.21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,21 So that let no one boast in men; for all things are yours.
 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come; all things belong to you,22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's;22 Whether it is Paul, Apollos, Cephas, the world, life or death, present or future things, everything belongs to you.22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things coming, all are yours;
 and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.23 You belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.23 and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's.23 and ye are Christ's, and Christ is God's.
