Reaffirm Your Love
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 But I determined this for my own sake, that I would not come to you in sorrow again.1 But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.1 I decided not to visit you again while I was distressed.1 But I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.1 But I have judged this with myself, not to come back to you in grief.
 For if I cause you sorrow, who then makes me glad but the one whom I made sorrowful?2 For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?2 After all, if I had made you uncomfortable, how could you have cheered me up when you were uncomfortable?2 For if I make you sorry, then who will make me glad but he who is made sorry by me?2 For if I grieve you, who also is it that gladdens me, if not he that is grieved through me?
 This is the very thing I wrote you, so that when I came, I would not have sorrow from those who ought to make me rejoice; having confidence in you all that my joy would be the joy of you all.3 And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.3 This is the very reason I wrote to you. I didn't want to visit you and be distressed by those who should make me happy. I'm confident about all of you that whatever makes me happy also makes you happy.3 And I wrote this very thing to you, so that, when I came, I wouldn't have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy would be shared by all of you.3 And I have written this very letter to you, that coming I may not have grief from those from whom I ought to have joy; trusting in you all that my joy is that of you all.
 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears; not so that you would be made sorrowful, but that you might know the love which I have especially for you.4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.4 I was deeply troubled and anguished. In fact, I had tears in my eyes when I wrote to you. I didn't write to make you uncomfortable but to let you know how much I love you.4 For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be made sorry, but that you might know the love that I have so abundantly for you.4 For out of much tribulation and distress of heart I wrote to you, with many tears; not that ye may be grieved, but that ye may know the love which I have very abundantly towards you.
 But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow not to me, but in some degree-- in order not to say too much-- to all of you.5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.5 If someone caused distress, I'm not the one really affected. To some extent-although I don't want to emphasize this too much-it has affected all of you.5 But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow, not to me, but in part (that I not press too heavily) to you all.5 But if any one has grieved, he has grieved, not me, but in part (that I may not overcharge you) all of you.

 Sufficient for such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the majority,6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.6 The majority of you have imposed a severe enough punishment on that person.6 Sufficient to such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the many;6 Sufficient to such a one is this rebuke which has been inflicted by the many;
 so that on the contrary you should rather forgive and comfort him, otherwise such a one might be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.7 So now forgive and comfort him. Such distress could overwhelm someone like that if he's not forgiven and comforted.7 so that on the contrary you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow.7 so that on the contrary ye should rather shew grace and encourage, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with excessive grief.
 Wherefore I urge you to reaffirm your love for him.8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.8 That is why I urge you to assure him that you love him.8 Therefore I beg you to confirm your love toward him.8 Wherefore I exhort you to assure him of your love.
 For to this end also I wrote, so that I might put you to the test, whether you are obedient in all things.9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.9 I had also written to you to test you. I wanted to see if you would be obedient in every way.9 For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things.9 For to this end also I have written, that I might know, by putting you to the test, if as to everything ye are obedient.
 But one whom you forgive anything, I forgive also; for indeed what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did it for your sakes in the presence of Christ,10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;10 If you forgive someone, so do I. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, I did in the presence of Christ for your benefit.10 Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ,10 But to whom ye forgive anything, I also; for I also, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it is for your sakes in the person of Christ;

 so that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.11 I don't want Satan to outwit us. After all, we are not ignorant about Satan's scheming.11 that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan; for we are not ignorant of his schemes.11 that we might not have Satan get an advantage against us, for we are not ignorant of his thoughts.
 Now when I came to Troas for the gospel of Christ and when a door was opened for me in the Lord,12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,12 When I went to the city of Troas, the Lord gave me an opportunity to spread the Good News about Christ.12 Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of Christ, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord,12 Now when I came to Troas for the publication of the glad tidings of the Christ, a door also being opened to me in the Lord,
 I had no rest for my spirit, not finding Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I went on to Macedonia.13 I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.13 But I didn't have any peace of mind, because I couldn't find Titus, our brother, there. So I said goodbye to the people in Troas and went to the province of Macedonia.13 I had no relief for my spirit, because I didn't find Titus, my brother, but taking my leave of them, I went out into Macedonia.13 I had no rest in my spirit at not finding Titus my brother; but bidding them adieu, I came away to Macedonia.
 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place.14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.14 But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. Wherever we go, God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ. It's like a fragrance that fills the air.14 Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in the Christ, and makes manifest the odour of his knowledge through us in every place.
 For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:15 To God we are the aroma of Christ among those who are saved and among those who are dying.15 For we are a sweet aroma of Christ to God, in those who are saved, and in those who perish;15 For we are a sweet odour of Christ to God, in the saved and in those that perish:

 to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things?16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?16 To some people we are a deadly fragrance, while to others we are a life-giving fragrance. Who is qualified to tell about Christ?16 to the one a stench from death to death; to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?16 to the one an odour from death unto death, but to the others an odour from life unto life; and who is sufficient for these things?
 For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God.17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.17 At least we don't go around selling an impure word of God like many others. The opposite is true. As Christ's spokesmen and in God's presence, we speak the pure message that comes from God.17 For we are not as so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ.17 For we do not, as the many, make a trade of the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as of God, before God, we speak in Christ.
