Introduction
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
1 Paul, an apostle (not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead),1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)1 From Paul-an apostle [chosen] not by any group or individual but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who brought him back to life-1 Paul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),1 Paul, apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father who raised him from among the dead,
2 and all the brethren who are with me, To the churches of Galatia:2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:2 and all the believers who are with me. To the churches in Galatia.2 and all the brothers who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia:2 and all the brethren with me, to the assemblies of Galatia.
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,3 Good will and peace are yours from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ! 3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,3 Grace to you, and peace, from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:4 In order to free us from this present evil world, Christ took the punishment for our sins, because that was what our God and Father wanted.4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father--4 who gave himself for our sins, so that he should deliver us out of the present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father;
5 to whom be the glory forevermore. Amen.5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.5 Glory belongs to our God and Father forever! Amen.5 to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.5 to whom be glory to the ages of ages. Amen.
Perversion of the Gospel
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:6 I'm surprised that you're so quickly deserting Christ, who called you in his kindness, to follow a different kind of good news. 6 I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different "good news";6 I wonder that ye thus quickly change, from him that called you in Christ's grace, to a different gospel,
7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.7 But what some people are calling good news is not really good news at all. They are confusing you. They want to distort the Good News about Christ.7 and there isn't another "good news." Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.7 which is not another one; but there are some that trouble you, and desire to pervert the glad tidings of the Christ.
8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.8 Whoever tells you good news that is different from the Good News we gave you should be condemned to hell, even if he is one of us or an angel from heaven.8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any "good news" other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.8 But if even we or an angel out of heaven announce as glad tidings to you anything besides what we have announced as glad tidings to you, let him be accursed.
9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.9 I'm now telling you again what we've told you in the past: If anyone tells you good news that is different from the Good News you received, that person should be condemned to hell.9 As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any "good news" other than that which you received, let him be cursed.9 As we have said before, now also again I say, If any one announce to you as glad tidings anything besides what ye have received, let him be accursed.
10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.10 Am I saying this now to win the approval of people or God? Am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be Christ's servant.10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ.10 For do I now seek to satisfy men or God? or do I seek to please men? If I were yet pleasing men, I were not Christ's bondman.
Paul Defends His Ministry
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
11 For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man.11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the Good News I have spread is not a human message.11 But I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not according to man.11 But I let you know, brethren, as to the glad tidings which were announced by me, that they are not according to man.
12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ.12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.12 I didn't receive it from any person. I wasn't taught it, but Jesus Christ revealed it to me.12 For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.12 For neither did I receive them from man, neither was I taught them, but by revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 For you have heard of my former manner of life in Judaism, how I used to persecute the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it;13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:13 You heard about the way I once lived when I followed the Jewish religion. You heard how I violently persecuted God's church and tried to destroy it.13 For you have heard of my way of living in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the assembly of God, and ravaged it.13 For ye have heard what was my conversation formerly in Judaism, that I excessively persecuted the assembly of God, and ravaged it;
14 and I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my countrymen, being more extremely zealous for my ancestral traditions.14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.14 You also heard how I was far ahead of other Jews in my age group in following the Jewish religion. I had become that fanatical for the traditions of my ancestors.14 I advanced in the Jews' religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.14 and advanced in Judaism beyond many my contemporaries in my nation, being exceedingly zealous of the doctrines of my fathers.
15 But when God, who had set me apart even from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, was pleased15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,15 But God, who appointed me before I was born and who called me by his kindness, was pleased15 But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me through his grace,15 But when God, who set me apart even from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

16 to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood,16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:16 to show me his Son. He did this so that I would tell people who are not Jewish that his Son is the Good News. When this happened, I didn't talk it over with any other person.16 to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I didn't immediately confer with flesh and blood,16 was pleased to reveal his Son in me, that I may announce him as glad tidings among the nations, immediately I took not counsel with flesh and blood,
17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went away to Arabia, and returned once more to Damascus.17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.17 I didn't even go to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was. Instead, I went to Arabia and then came back to Damascus.17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia. Then I returned to Damascus.17 nor went I up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and again returned to Damascus.
18 Then three years later I went up to Jerusalem to become acquainted with Cephas, and stayed with him fifteen days.18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.18 Then, three years later I went to Jerusalem to become personally acquainted with Cephas. I stayed with him for fifteen days. 18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to make acquaintance with Peter, and I remained with him fifteen days;
19 But I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord's brother.19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.19 I didn't see any other apostle. I only saw James, the Lord's brother.19 But of the other apostles I saw no one, except James, the Lord's brother.19 but I saw none other of the apostles, but James the brother of the Lord.
20 (Now in what I am writing to you, I assure you before God that I am not lying.)20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.20 (God is my witness that what I'm writing is not a lie.)20 Now about the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I'm not lying.20 Now what I write to you, behold, before God, I do not lie.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
21 Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;21 Then I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.21 Then I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.21 Then I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
22 I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea which were in Christ;22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:22 The churches of Christ in Judea didn't know me personally.22 I was still unknown by face to the assemblies of Judea which were in Christ,22 But I was unknown personally to the assemblies of Judaea which are in Christ;
23 but only, they kept hearing, "He who once persecuted us is now preaching the faith which he once tried to destroy."23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.23 The only thing they had heard was this: "The man who persecuted us is now spreading the faith that he once tried to destroy."23 but they only heard: "He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy."23 only they were hearing that he who persecuted us formerly now announces the glad tidings of the faith which formerly he ravaged:
24 And they were glorifying God because of me.24 And they glorified God in me.24 So they praised God for what had happened to me.24 And they glorified God in me.24 and they glorified God in me.
