David’s Triumphs
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Now after this it came about that David defeated the Philistines and subdued them; and David took control of the chief city from the hand of the Philistines.1 And after this it came to pass that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took Methegammah out of the hand of the Philistines.1 After this, David defeated and crushed the Philistines. He took control of the main Philistine city from them. 1 After this it happened that David struck the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took the bridle of the mother city out of the hand of the Philistines.1 And after this it came to pass that David smote the Philistines, and subdued them; and David took the power of the capital out of the hand of the Philistines.
 He defeated Moab, and measured them with the line, making them lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death and one full line to keep alive. And the Moabites became servants to David, bringing tribute.2 And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.2 He also defeated Moab, made the Moabites lie down on the ground, and measured them with a rope. He measured two lengths which were to be killed, and one length which was to be spared. So the Moabites became David's subjects and paid taxes [to him].2 He struck Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. The Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.2 And he smote the Moabites, and measured them with a line, making them lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. And the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.
 Then David defeated Hadadezer, the son of Rehob king of Zobah, as he went to restore his rule at the River.3 David smote also Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his border at the river Euphrates.3 When David went to restore his control [over the territory] along the Euphrates River, he defeated Zobah's King Hadadezer, son of Rehob.3 David struck also Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion at the River.3 And David smote Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion by the river Euphrates.
 David captured from him 1,700 horsemen and 20,000 foot soldiers; and David hamstrung the chariot horses, but reserved enough of them for 100 chariots.4 And David took from him a thousand chariots, and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for an hundred chariots.4 David took 1,700 horsemen and 20,000 foot soldiers from him. David also disabled all but 100 of their horses so that they couldn't pull chariots.4 David took from him one thousand seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.4 And David took from him one thousand seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen; and David houghed all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for a hundred chariots.
 When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer, king of Zobah, David killed 22,000 Arameans.5 And when the Syrians of Damascus came to succor Hadadezer king of Zobah, David slew of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.5 When the Arameans from Damascus came to help King Hadadezer of Zobah, David killed 22,000 of them.5 When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.5 And the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, and David smote of the Syrians twenty-two thousand men.

And the LORD helped David wherever he went.6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus: and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought gifts. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.6 David put troops in the Aramean kingdom of Damascus, and the Arameans became his subjects and paid taxes [to him]. Everywhere David went, the LORD gave him victories.6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. 7 David took the shields of gold which were carried by the servants of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.7 David took the gold shields that belonged to Hadadezer's servants, and he brought them to Jerusalem. 7 David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.7 And David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
 From Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took a very large amount of bronze.8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.8 King David also took a large quantity of bronze from Betah and Berothai, Hadadezer's cities.8 From Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.8 And from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much bronze.
 Now when Toi king of Hamath heard that David had defeated all the army of Hadadezer,9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the host of Hadadezer,9 When King Toi of Hamath heard that David had defeated Hadadezer's whole army,9 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer,9 And Toi king of Hamath heard that David had smitten all the forces of Hadadezer;
 Toi sent Joram his son to King David to greet him and bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him; for Hadadezer had been at war with Toi. And Joram brought with him articles of silver, of gold and of bronze.10 Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David, to salute him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And Joram brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:10 he sent his son Joram to greet King David and congratulate him for fighting and defeating Hadadezer. (There had often been war between Hadadezer and Toi.) Joram brought articles of gold, silver, and bronze with him.10 then Toi sent Joram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. [Joram] brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:10 and Toi sent Joram his son to king David, to inquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and smitten him; for Hadadezer was continually at war with Toi. And he brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze.

 King David also dedicated these to the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated from all the nations which he had subdued:11 Which also king David did dedicate unto the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated of all nations which he subdued;11 King David dedicated these articles to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had dedicated from all the nations he conquered-11 These also did king David dedicate to Yahweh, with the silver and gold that he dedicated of all the nations which he subdued;11 Them also king David dedicated to Jehovah, with the silver and the gold that he had dedicated of all the nations that he had subdued:
 from Aram and Moab and the sons of Ammon and the Philistines and Amalek, and from the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.12 Of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.12 from Edom, Moab, Ammon, the Philistines, Amalek, and from the goods taken from Zobah's King Hadadezer, son of Rehob.12 of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.12 of the Syrians, and of the Moabites, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of the Amalekites, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, the son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
 So David made a name for himself when he returned from killing 18,000 Arameans in the Valley of Salt.13 And David gat him a name when he returned from smiting of the Syrians in the valley of salt, being eighteen thousand men.13 David made a name for himself by killing 18,000 Edomites in the Dead Sea region as he returned [to Jerusalem]. 13 David earned a reputation when he returned from smiting the Syrians in the Valley of Salt, even eighteen thousand men.13 And David made him a name when he returned, after he had smitten the Syrians in the valley of salt, eighteen thousand men.
 He put garrisons in Edom. In all Edom he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the LORD helped David wherever he went.14 And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David whithersoever he went.14 He put troops everywhere in Edom, and all the Edomites were David's subjects. Everywhere David went, the LORD gave him victories.14 He put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. Yahweh gave victory to David wherever he went.14 And he put garrisons in Edom: throughout Edom did he put garrisons; and all they of Edom became servants to David. And Jehovah preserved David whithersoever he went.
 So David reigned over all Israel; and David administered justice and righteousness for all his people.15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people.15 So David ruled all Israel. He did what was fair and right for all his people.15 David reigned over all Israel; and David executed justice and righteousness to all his people.15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice to all his people.
