Ezekiel Prepares for Exile
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,1 The word of the LORD also came unto me, saying,1 The LORD spoke his word to me. He said,1 The word of Yahweh also came to me, saying,1 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
"Son of man, you live in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see but do not see, ears to hear but do not hear; for they are a rebellious house.2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.2 "Son of man, you are living among rebellious people. They have eyes, but they can't see. They have ears, but they can't hear because they are rebellious people.2 Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the rebellious house, who have eyes to see, and don't see, who have ears to hear, and don't hear; for they are a rebellious house.2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not, which have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.
"Therefore, son of man, prepare for yourself baggage for exile and go into exile by day in their sight; even go into exile from your place to another place in their sight. Perhaps they will understand though they are a rebellious house.3 Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee stuff for removing, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house.3 "Son of man, pack your bags as if you were going into exile. Let the people see you leave in the daylight. March like a captive from your place to another place as they watch. Maybe they will understand, even though they are rebellious people.3 Therefore, you son of man, prepare your stuff for moving, and move by day in their sight; and you shall move from your place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.3 And thou, son of man, prepare thee a captive's baggage, and go captive by day in their sight; and thou shalt go captive from thy place to another place in their sight. It may be they will consider, though they are a rebellious house.
"Bring your baggage out by day in their sight, as baggage for exile. Then you will go out at evening in their sight, as those going into exile.4 Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity.4 Let them see you in the daylight. Bring out your bags as if you were going into exile. In the evening let them see you leave like a captive going into exile.4 You shall bring forth your stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for moving; and you shall go forth yourself at even in their sight, as when men go forth into exile.4 And bring forth thy baggage by day in their sight, as a captive's baggage, and thou thyself, go forth at even in their sight as they that go forth into captivity.
"Dig a hole through the wall in their sight and go out through it.5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby.5 Dig a hole through the wall of your house, and leave through it.5 Dig through the wall in their sight, and carry your stuff out that way.5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and carry out thereby.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"Load the baggage on your shoulder in their sight and carry it out in the dark. You shall cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have set you as a sign to the house of Israel."6 In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the ground: for I have set thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.6 Let them see you put your bags on your shoulders and carry them out in the dark. Cover your face so that you won't see the land. I've made you a sign to warn the nation of Israel."6 In their sight you shall bear it on your shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, so that you don't see the land: for I have set you for a sign to the house of Israel.6 In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; thou shalt cover thy face, and thou shalt not see the ground: for I have appointed thee for a sign unto the house of Israel.
I did so, as I had been commanded. By day I brought out my baggage like the baggage of an exile. Then in the evening I dug through the wall with my hands; I went out in the dark and carried the baggage on my shoulder in their sight.7 And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for captivity, and in the even I digged through the wall with mine hand; I brought it forth in the twilight, and I bare it upon my shoulder in their sight.7 I did what I was ordered to do. During the day I brought out bags as if I were going into exile. In the evening I dug a hole through the wall. I brought out my bags in the dark. I let the people see me as I carried my bags on my shoulders.7 I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my stuff by day, as stuff for removing, and in the even I dug through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bore it on my shoulder in their sight.7 And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my baggage by day, as a captive's baggage, and in the even I digged through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bore it upon my shoulder, in their sight.
In the morning the word of the LORD came to me, saying,8 And in the morning came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,8 The next morning the LORD spoke his word to me. He said,8 In the morning came the word of Yahweh to me, saying,8 And in the morning the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
"Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, 'What are you doing?'9 Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?9 "Son of man, didn't the rebellious nation of Israel ask you what you were doing?9 Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said to you, What are you doing?9 Son of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, said unto thee, What doest thou?
"Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "This burden concerns the prince in Jerusalem as well as all the house of Israel who are in it."'10 Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.10 "Tell them, 'This is what the Almighty LORD says: This is the divine revelation about the prince from Jerusalem and about all the people of Israel who live there.'10 Say to them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: This burden [concerns] the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel among whom they are.10 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"Say, 'I am a sign to you. As I have done, so it will be done to them; they will go into exile, into captivity.'11 Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity.11 "Tell them, 'I am your warning sign. What I have done will happen to you. You will go into exile and into captivity.11 Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.11 Say, I am your sign: as I have done, so shall it be done unto them: they shall go into exile, into captivity.
"The prince who is among them will load his baggage on his shoulder in the dark and go out. They will dig a hole through the wall to bring it out. He will cover his face so that he can not see the land with his eyes.12 And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the twilight, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, that he see not the ground with his eyes.12 The prince who is among you will put his bags on his shoulders in the dark and leave. People will dig holes in the wall to go through. The prince will cover his face so that he cannot see the land.12 The prince who is among them shall bear on his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth: they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he shall cover his face, because he shall not see the land with his eyes.12 And the prince that is among them shall bear upon his shoulder in the dark, and shall go forth; they shall dig through the wall to carry out thereby; he shall cover his face, that he see not the land with his eyes.
"I will also spread My net over him, and he will be caught in My snare. And I will bring him to Babylon in the land of the Chaldeans; yet he will not see it, though he will die there.13 My net also will I spread upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare: and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.13 I will spread my net over him, and he will be caught in my net. I will bring him to Babylon, the land of the Babylonians, but he will not see it. And that's where he'll die.13 My net also will I spread on him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.13 And I will spread my net upon him, and he shall be taken in my snare; and I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans; but he shall not see it, and there shall he die.
"I will scatter to every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops; and I will draw out a sword after them.14 And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.14 I will scatter in every direction all those who are around him-his staff and all his troops. I will pursue them with my sword.14 I will scatter toward every wind all who are around him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.14 And I will scatter toward every wind all that are about him to help him, and all his troops; and I will draw out the sword after them.
"So they will know that I am the LORD when I scatter them among the nations and spread them among the countries.15 And they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countries.15 Then they will know that I am the LORD, because I will scatter them among the nations and force them into other countries.15 They shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries.15 And they shall know that I am Jehovah when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries.

"But I will spare a few of them from the sword, the famine and the pestilence that they may tell all their abominations among the nations where they go, and may know that I am the LORD."16 But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the heathen whither they come; and they shall know that I am the LORD.16 However, I will spare a few of them from wars, famines, and plagues. Wherever they go among the nations, they will realize that everything they did was disgusting. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'"16 But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they come; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.16 But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the pestilence; that they may declare all their abominations among the nations whither they shall come; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me saying,17 Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,17 The LORD spoke his word to me. He said,17 Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,17 And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying,
 "Son of man, eat your bread with trembling and drink your water with quivering and anxiety.18 Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with carefulness;18 "Son of man, shake as you eat your food. Tremble and be worried as you drink your water.18 Son of man, eat your bread with quaking, and drink your water with trembling and with fearfulness;18 Son of man, eat thy bread with quaking, and drink thy water with trembling and with anxiety;
"Then say to the people of the land, 'Thus says the Lord GOD concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel, "They will eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water with horror, because their land will be stripped of its fullness on account of the violence of all who live in it.19 And say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and of the land of Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink their water with astonishment, that her land may be desolate from all that is therein, because of the violence of all them that dwell therein.19 "Tell the people of this land, 'This is what the Almighty LORD says about the people who live in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will be worried as they eat their food and terrified as they drink their water. Their country will be stripped of everything because everyone who lives there is violent.19 and tell the people of the land, Thus says the Lord Yahweh concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness, and drink their water in dismay, that her land may be desolate, [and despoiled] of all that is therein, because of the violence of all those who dwell therein.19 and say unto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem, in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with anxiety, and drink their water with astonishment, because her land shall be left desolate of all that is in it, for the violence of all them that dwell therein.
"The inhabited cities will be laid waste and the land will be a desolation. So you will know that I am the LORD."'"20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.20 The cities where people live will be destroyed, and the country will become a wasteland. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'"20 The cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.20 And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be a desolation; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,21 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,21 The LORD spoke his word to me. He said,21 The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,21 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
"Son of man, what is this proverb you people have concerning the land of Israel, saying, 'The days are long and every vision fails '?22 Son of man, what is that proverb that ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision faileth?22 "Son of man, what is this proverb you have in Israel: 'Days go by, and every vision comes to nothing'?22 Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days are prolonged, and every vision fails?22 Son of man, what is that proverb which ye have in the land of Israel, saying, The days shall be prolonged, and every vision faileth?
"Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "I will make this proverb cease so that they will no longer use it as a proverb in Israel." But tell them, "The days draw near as well as the fulfillment of every vision.23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision.23 "Tell the people, 'This is what the Almighty LORD says: I will put a stop to the use of this proverb. You will no longer quote it in Israel.' Instead, tell them, 'The time is near when every vision will come true.23 Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but tell them, The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.23 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the accomplishment of every vision.
"For there will no longer be any false vision or flattering divination within the house of Israel.24 For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.24 There will no longer be any false visions or flattering fortunetelling to the people.24 For there shall be no more any false vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.24 For there shall be no more any vain vision nor flattering divination in the midst of the house of Israel.
"For I the LORD will speak, and whatever word I speak will be performed. It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it," declares the Lord GOD.'"25 For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.25 I, the LORD, will speak. Everything that I say will happen without any more delay. I will say something, and it will happen during your lifetime, you rebellious people, declares the Almighty LORD.'"25 For I am Yahweh; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it, says the Lord Yahweh.25 For I am Jehovah; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed, it shall be no more deferred. For in your days, O rebellious house, will I speak the word and will perform it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

Furthermore, the word of the LORD came to me, saying,26 Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying.26 The LORD spoke his word to me. He said,26 Again the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,26 And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
"Son of man, behold, the house of Israel is saying, 'The vision that he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies of times far off.'27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days to come, and he prophesieth of the times that are far off.27 "Son of man, the people of Israel are saying, 'The vision that Ezekiel sees won't happen for a long time. What he prophecies will happen in the distant future.'27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he sees is for many day to come, and he prophesies of times that are far off.27 Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that he seeth is for many days, and he prophesieth of times that are far off.
"Therefore say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,"'" declares the Lord GOD.28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; There shall none of my words be prolonged any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord GOD.28 "Tell them, 'This is what the Almighty LORD says: Everything that I say will no longer be delayed. Whatever I say will happen, declares the Almighty LORD.'"28 Therefore tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh: None of my words shall be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, says the Lord Yahweh.28 Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word that I have spoken shall be done, saith the Lord Jehovah.
