Chambers of the Temple

1 Then he brought me out into the outer court, the way toward the north; and he brought me to the chamber which was opposite the separate area and opposite the building toward the north.1 Then he brought me forth into the utter court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the chamber that was over against the separate place, and which was before the building toward the north.1 Then the man led me out toward the north to the outer courtyard. He brought me to the side rooms opposite both the open area and the northern building.1 Then he brought me forth into the outer court, the way toward the north: and he brought me into the room that was over against the separate place, and which was over against the building toward the north.1 And he brought me forth into the outer court, the way toward the north; and he brought me to the cells that were over against the separate place and which were over against the building, toward the north,
2 Along the length, which was a hundred cubits, was the north door; the width was fifty cubits.2 Before the length of an hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits.2 The building that faced north was 175 feet long and 871/2 feet wide.2 Before the length of one hundred cubits was the north door, and the breadth was fifty cubits.2 before the length of the hundred cubits: the entry was on the north, and the breadth was fifty cubits,
3 Opposite the twenty cubits which belonged to the inner court, and opposite the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery corresponding to gallery in three stories.3 Over against the twenty cubits which were for the inner court, and over against the pavement which was for the utter court, was gallery against gallery in three stories.3 Opposite the inner courtyard was an area that was 35 feet wide, and opposite the pavement of the outer courtyard were corridors facing corridors on all three stories.3 Over against the twenty [cubits] which belonged to the inner court, and over against the pavement which belonged to the outer court, was gallery against gallery in the third story.3 over against the twenty cubits that pertained to the inner court, and over against the pavement that pertained to the outer court; there was gallery against gallery in the third story;
4 Before the chambers was an inner walk ten cubits wide, a way of one hundred cubits; and their openings were on the north.4 And before the chambers was a walk to ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.4 In front of the side rooms was a walkway, 171/2 feet wide and 175 feet long. The doors of these side rooms faced north.4 Before the rooms was a walk of ten cubits' breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors were toward the north.4 and before the cells was a walk of ten cubits in breadth, and a way of a hundred cubits inward; and their entries were toward the north.
5 Now the upper chambers were smaller because the galleries took more space away from them than from the lower and middle ones in the building.5 Now the upper chambers were shorter: for the galleries were higher than these, than the lower, and than the middlemost of the building.5 The side rooms on the third story were narrower than those on the first or second stories of the building because the corridors took space away from them.5 Now the upper rooms were shorter; for the galleries took away from these, more than from the lower and the middle, in the building.5 And the upper cells, because the galleries encroached on them, were shorter than the lower, and than the middle-most of the building.

6 For they were in three stories and had no pillars like the pillars of the courts; therefore the upper chambers were set back from the ground upward, more than the lower and middle ones.6 For they were in three stories, but had not pillars as the pillars of the courts: therefore the building was straitened more than the lowest and the middlemost from the ground.6 The rooms were in three stories. They didn't have pillars like the pillars in the courtyards. 7 As for the outer wall by the side of the chambers, toward the outer court facing the chambers, its length was fifty cubits.7 And the wall that was without over against the chambers, toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.7 There was a wall which ran parallel to the side rooms and the outer courtyard. It ran alongside the side rooms for 871/2 feet.7 The wall that was outside by the side of the rooms, toward the outer court before the rooms, its length was fifty cubits.7 And the wall that was without, answering to the cells, toward the outer court in the front of the cells, its length was fifty cubits:
8 For the length of the chambers which were in the outer court was fifty cubits; and behold, the length of those facing the temple was a hundred cubits.8 For the length of the chambers that were in the utter court was fifty cubits: and, lo, before the temple were an hundred cubits.8 The row of rooms in the outer courtyard was 871/2 feet long. The rooms that faced the temple were 175 feet long.8 For the length of the rooms that were in the outer court was fifty cubits: and behold, before the temple were one hundred cubits.8 for the length of the cells that were against the outer court was fifty cubits; but behold, before the temple it was a hundred cubits.
9 Below these chambers was the entrance on the east side, as one enters them from the outer court.9 And from under these chambers was the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the utter court.9 These lower side rooms had an entrance on the east side. A person was able to enter the outer courtyard through them.9 From under these rooms was the entry on the east side, as one goes into them from the outer court.9 And under these cells was the entry from the east, as one goeth into them from the outer court.
10 In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, facing the separate area and facing the building, there were chambers.10 The chambers were in the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, over against the separate place, and over against the building.10 There were side rooms parallel to the wall of the courtyard on the south side. They faced the open area and the building. 10 In the thickness of the wall of the court toward the east, before the separate place, and before the building, there were rooms.10 In the breadth of the wall of the court toward the south, before the separate place, and before the building, were cells;

11 The way in front of them was like the appearance of the chambers which were on the north, according to their length so was their width, and all their exits were both according to their arrangements and openings.11 And the way before them was like the appearance of the chambers which were toward the north, as long as they, and as broad as they: and all their goings out were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.11 There was a walkway in front of them like the one that was in front of the side rooms on the north side. These side rooms were as long and as wide as the northern rooms. They had the same exits, dimensions, and doors.11 The way before them was like the appearance of [the way of] the rooms which were toward the north; according to their length so was their breadth: and all their exits were both according to their fashions, and according to their doors.11 and a passage before them, like the appearance of the cells that were toward the north, according to their length, according to their breadth and all their goings out, and according to their fashions, and according to their doors.
12 Corresponding to the openings of the chambers which were toward the south was an opening at the head of the way, the way in front of the wall toward the east, as one enters them.12 And according to the doors of the chambers that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one entereth into them.12 The doors to the south rooms were the same as the doors to the north rooms. There was a doorway at the other end of the walkway that was parallel to the corresponding wall that ran eastward. People entered through that doorway.12 According to the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door at the head of the way, even the way directly before the wall toward the east, as one enters into them.12 And according to the doors of the cells that were toward the south there was a door at the head of the way, the way directly before the corresponding wall toward the east as one entereth into them.
13 Then he said to me, "The north chambers and the south chambers, which are opposite the separate area, they are the holy chambers where the priests who are near to the LORD shall eat the most holy things. There they shall lay the most holy things, the grain offering, the sin offering and the guilt offering; for the place is holy.13 Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the LORD shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.13 Then the man said to me, "The northern and southern side rooms that face the open area are holy rooms. These rooms are where the priests who come near the LORD eat the holiest offerings. Because these rooms are holy, the priests keep the holiest offerings there: the grain offerings, the offerings for sin, and the guilt offerings.13 Then he said to me, The north rooms and the south rooms, which are before the separate place, they are the holy rooms, where the priests who are near to Yahweh shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meal offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy.13 And he said unto me, The north cells and the south cells, which are before the separate place, they are holy cells, where the priests that come near unto Jehovah shall eat the most holy things; there shall they lay the most holy things, both the oblation and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering: for the place is holy.
14 "When the priests enter, then they shall not go out into the outer court from the sanctuary without laying there their garments in which they minister, for they are holy. They shall put on other garments; then they shall approach that which is for the people."14 When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.14 Once the priests enter the holy place, they must not go out of the holy place into the outer courtyard until they leave behind the clothes that they wore as they served. These clothes are holy. The priests must put on other clothes. Then they can go into the area that is for the people."14 When the priests enter in, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments in which they minister; for they are holy: and they shall put on other garments, and shall approach to that which pertains to the people.14 When the priests enter in, they shall not go forth from the sanctuary into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister, for they are holy; and they shall put on other garments, and shall approach to that which is for the people.
15 Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by the way of the gate which faced toward the east and measured it all around.15 Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.15 When the man had finished measuring the inner part of the temple area, he led me out through the east gate. Then he measured all the way around the outer area.15 Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it all around.15 And when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose front was toward the east, and measured the enclosure round about.

16 He measured on the east side with the measuring reed five hundred reeds by the measuring reed.16 He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about.16 He measured the east side with a measuring stick. 20 He measured it on the four sides; it had a wall all around, the length five hundred and the width five hundred, to divide between the holy and the profane.20 He measured it by the four sides: it had a wall round about, five hundred reeds long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between the sanctuary and the profane place.20 So he measured all four sides. There was a wall all around it. The wall was 875 feet long and 875 feet wide. It separated what was holy from what was unholy.20 He measured it on the four sides: it had a wall around it, the length five hundred, and the breadth five hundred, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.20 He measured it on the four sides; it had a wall round about, five hundred long, and five hundred broad, to make a separation between that which was holy and that which was common.
