Isaac Is Born
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Then the LORD took note of Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had promised.1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.1 The LORD came to help Sarah and did for her what he had promised.1 Yahweh visited Sarah as he had said, and Yahweh did to Sarah as he had spoken.1 And Jehovah visited Sarah as he had said, and Jehovah did to Sarah as he had spoken.
So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.2 So she became pregnant, and at the exact time God had promised, she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age.2 Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.2 And Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the appointed time of which God had spoken to him.
Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.3 Abraham named his newborn son Isaac.3 Abraham called his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.3 And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac.
Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.4 When Isaac was eight days old, Abraham circumcised him as God had commanded.4 Abraham circumcised his son, Isaac, when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac, being eight days old, as God had commanded him.
Now Abraham was one hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.5 Abraham was 100 years old when his son Isaac was born.5 Abraham was one hundred years old when his son, Isaac, was born to him.5 And Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him.

Sarah said, "God has made laughter for me; everyone who hears will laugh with me."6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.6 Sarah said, "God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me.6 Sarah said, "God has made me laugh. Everyone who hears will laugh with me."6 And Sarah said, God has made me laugh: all that hear will laugh with me.
And she said, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age."7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.7 Who would have predicted to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet, I have given him a son in his old age."7 She said, "Who would have said to Abraham, that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age."7 And she said, Who would have said to Abraham, Sarah will suckle children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.
The child grew and was weaned, and Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.8 And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned.8 The child grew and was weaned. On the day Isaac was weaned, Abraham held a big feast.8 The child grew, and was weaned. Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.8 And the child grew, and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
Sarah Turns against Hagar
Now Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking.9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.9 Sarah saw that Abraham's son by Hagar the Egyptian was laughing at Isaac.9 Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking.9 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, mocking.
Therefore she said to Abraham, "Drive out this maid and her son, for the son of this maid shall not be an heir with my son Isaac."10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.10 She said to Abraham, "Get rid of this slave and her son, because this slave's son must never share the inheritance with my son Isaac."10 Therefore she said to Abraham, "Cast out this handmaid and her son! For the son of this handmaid will not be heir with my son, Isaac."10 And she said to Abraham, Cast out this handmaid and her son; for the son of this handmaid shall not inherit with my son with Isaac.

The matter distressed Abraham greatly because of his son.11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.11 Abraham was upset by this because of his son Ishmael.11 The thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight on account of his son.11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son.
But God said to Abraham, "Do not be distressed because of the lad and your maid; whatever Sarah tells you, listen to her, for through Isaac your descendants shall be named.12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.12 But God said to Abraham, "Don't be upset about the boy and your slave. Listen to what Sarah says because through Isaac your descendants will carry on your name.12 God said to Abraham, "Don't let it be grievous in your sight because of the boy, and because of your handmaid. In all that Sarah says to you, listen to her voice. For from Isaac will your seed be called.12 And God said to Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad and because of thy handmaid: in all that Sarah hath said to thee hearken to her voice, for in Isaac shall a seed be called to thee.
"And of the son of the maid I will make a nation also, because he is your descendant."13 And also of the son of the bondwoman will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.13 Besides, I will make the slave's son into a nation also, because he is your child."13 I will also make a nation of the son of the handmaid, because he is your seed."13 But also the son of the handmaid will I make a nation, because he is thy seed.
So Abraham rose early in the morning and took bread and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar, putting them on her shoulder, and gave her the boy, and sent her away. And she departed and wandered about in the wilderness of Beersheba.14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.14 Early the next morning Abraham took bread and a container of water and gave them to Hagar, putting them on her shoulder. He also gave her the boy and sent her on her way. So she left and wandered around in the desert near Beersheba.14 Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread and a bottle of water, and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder; and gave her the child, and sent her away. She departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.14 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a flask of water, and gave it to Hagar, putting it on her shoulder and the child, and sent her away. And she departed, and wandered about in the wilderness of Beer-sheba.
When the water in the skin was used up, she left the boy under one of the bushes.15 And the water was spent in the bottle, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.15 When the water in the container was gone, she put the boy under one of the bushes.15 The water in the bottle was spent, and she cast the child under one of the shrubs.15 And the water was exhausted from the flask; and she cast the child under one of the shrubs,

Then she went and sat down opposite him, about a bowshot away, for she said, "Do not let me see the boy die." And she sat opposite him, and lifted up her voice and wept.16 And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.16 Then she went about as far away as an arrow can be shot and sat down. She said to herself, "I don't want to watch the boy die." So she sat down and sobbed loudly.16 She went and sat down opposite him, a good way off, about a bow shot away. For she said, "Don't let me see the death of the child." She sat over against him, and lifted up her voice, and wept.16 and she went and sat down over against him, a bow-shot off; for she said, Let me not behold the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lifted up her voice and wept.
God heard the lad crying; and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, "What is the matter with you, Hagar? Do not fear, for God has heard the voice of the lad where he is.17 And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.17 God heard the boy crying, and the Messenger of God called to Hagar from heaven. "What's the matter, Hagar?" he asked her. "Don't be afraid! God has heard the boy crying from the bushes.17 God heard the voice of the boy. The angel of God called to Hagar out of the sky, and said to her, "What ails you, Hagar? Don't be afraid. For God has heard the voice of the boy where he is.17 And God heard the voice of the lad. And the Angel of God called to Hagar from the heavens, and said to her, What aileth thee, Hagar? Fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad there, where he is.
"Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him by the hand, for I will make a great nation of him."18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.18 Come on, help the boy up! Take him by the hand, because I'm going to make him into a great nation."18 Get up, lift up the boy, and hold him in your hand. For I will make him a great nation."18 Arise, take the lad, and hold him in thy hand; for I will make of him a great nation.
Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water; and she went and filled the skin with water and gave the lad a drink.19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.19 God opened her eyes. Then she saw a well. She filled the container with water and gave the boy a drink.19 God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. She went, filled the bottle with water, and gave the boy drink.19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went and filled the flask with water, and gave the lad drink.
God was with the lad, and he grew; and he lived in the wilderness and became an archer.20 And God was with the lad; and he grew, and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.20 God was with the boy as he grew up. He lived in the desert and became a skilled archer.20 God was with the boy, and he grew. He lived in the wilderness, and became, as he grew up, an archer.20 And God was with the lad, and he grew; and he dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer.

He lived in the wilderness of Paran, and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.21 He lived in the desert of Paran, and his mother got him a wife from Egypt.21 He lived in the wilderness of Paran. His mother took a wife for him out of the land of Egypt.21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran. And his mother took him a wife out of the land of Egypt.
Covenant with Abimelech
Now it came about at that time that Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, spoke to Abraham, saying, "God is with you in all that you do;22 And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:22 At that time Abimelech, accompanied by Phicol, the commander of his army, said to Abraham, "God is with you in everything you do.22 It happened at that time, that Abimelech and Phicol the captain of his army spoke to Abraham, saying, "God is with you in all that you do.22 And it came to pass at that time that Abimelech, and Phichol the captain of his host, spoke to Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest.
now therefore, swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me or with my offspring or with my posterity, but according to the kindness that I have shown to you, you shall show to me and to the land in which you have sojourned."23 Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.23 Now, swear an oath to me here in front of God that you will never cheat me, my children, or my descendants. Show me and the land where you've been living the same kindness that I have shown you."23 Now, therefore, swear to me here by God that you will not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son. But according to the kindness that I have done to you, you shall do to me, and to the land in which you have lived as a foreigner."23 And now swear to me here by God that thou wilt not deal deceitfully with me, nor with my son, nor with my grandson. According to the kindness that I have done to thee, thou shalt do to me, and to the land in which thou sojournest.
Abraham said, "I swear it."24 And Abraham said, I will swear.24 Abraham said, "I so swear."24 Abraham said, "I will swear."24 And Abraham said, I will swear.
But Abraham complained to Abimelech because of the well of water which the servants of Abimelech had seized.25 And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.25 Then Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well which Abimelech's servants had seized.25 Abraham complained to Abimelech because of a water well, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.25 And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water that Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
And Abimelech said, "I do not know who has done this thing; you did not tell me, nor did I hear of it until today."26 And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing; neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.26 Abimelech replied, "I don't know who did this. You didn't tell me, and I didn't hear about it until today."26 Abimelech said, "I don't know who has done this thing. Neither did you tell me, neither did I hear of it, until today."26 And Abimelech said, I do not know who has done this, neither hast thou told me of it, neither have I heard of it but to-day.
Abraham took sheep and oxen and gave them to Abimelech, and the two of them made a covenant.27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.27 Abraham took some sheep and cattle and gave them to Abimelech, and the two of them made an agreement.27 Abraham took sheep and cattle, and gave them to Abimelech. Those two made a covenant.27 And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them to Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.
Then Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.28 And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.28 Then Abraham set apart seven female lambs from the flock.28 Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves.28 And Abraham set seven ewe-lambs of the flock by themselves.
Abimelech said to Abraham, "What do these seven ewe lambs mean, which you have set by themselves?"29 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?29 Abimelech asked him, "What is the meaning of these seven female lambs you have set apart?"29 Abimelech said to Abraham, "What do these seven ewe lambs which you have set by themselves mean?"29 And Abimelech said to Abraham, What mean these seven ewe-lambs, these which thou hast set by themselves?
He said, "You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand so that it may be a witness to me, that I dug this well."30 And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.30 Abraham answered, "Accept these lambs from me so that they may be proof that I dug this well." 30 He said, "You shall take these seven ewe lambs from my hand, that it may be a witness to me, that I have dug this well."30 And he said, That thou take the seven ewe-lambs of my hand, that they may be a witness to me that I have dug this well.

Therefore he called that place Beersheba, because there the two of them took an oath.31 Wherefore he called that place Beersheba; because there they sware both of them.31 This is why that place is called Beersheba, because both of them swore an oath there. 31 Therefore he called that place Beersheba, because they both swore there.31 Therefore he called that place Beer-sheba, because there they had sworn, both of them.
So they made a covenant at Beersheba; and Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, arose and returned to the land of the Philistines.32 Thus they made a covenant at Beersheba: then Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the chief captain of his host, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.32 After they made the treaty at Beersheba, Abimelech and Phicol, the commander of his army, left and went back to the land of the Philistines.32 So they made a covenant at Beersheba. Abimelech rose up with Phicol, the captain of his army, and they returned into the land of the Philistines.32 And they made a covenant at Beer-sheba. And Abimelech rose up, and Phichol the captain of his host, and returned into the land of the Philistines.
Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba, and there he called on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting God.33 And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God.33 Abraham planted a tamarisk tree at Beersheba and worshiped the LORD, the Everlasting God, there.33 Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and called there on the name of Yahweh, the Everlasting God.33 And Abraham planted a tamarisk in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name of Jehovah, the Eternal God.
And Abraham sojourned in the land of the Philistines for many days.34 And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.34 Abraham lived a long time in the land of the Philistines.34 Abraham lived as a foreigner in the land of the Philistines many days.34 And Abraham sojourned in the Philistines' land many days.
