Cain and Abel
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Now the man had relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived and gave birth to Cain, and she said, "I have gotten a manchild with the help of the LORD."1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.1 Adam made love to his wife Eve. She became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, "I have gotten the man that the LORD promised."1 The man knew Eve his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, "I have gotten a man with Yahweh's help."1 And Man knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bore Cain, and said, I have acquired a man with Jehovah.
Again, she gave birth to his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of flocks, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.2 Then she gave birth to another child, Abel, Cain's brother. Abel was a shepherd, and Cain was a farmer.2 Again she gave birth, to Cain's brother Abel. Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.2 And she further bore his brother Abel. And Abel was a shepherd, but Cain was a husbandman.
So it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to the LORD of the fruit of the ground.3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.3 Later Cain brought some crops from the land as an offering to the LORD.3 As time passed, it happened that Cain brought an offering to Yahweh from the fruit of the ground.3 And in process of time it came to pass that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering to Jehovah.
 Abel, on his part also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and for his offering;4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:4 Abel also brought some choice parts of the firstborn animals from his flock. The LORD approved of Abel and his offering,4 Abel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of its fat. Yahweh respected Abel and his offering,4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock, and of their fat. And Jehovah looked upon Abel, and on his offering;
but for Cain and for his offering He had no regard. So Cain became very angry and his countenance fell.5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.5 but he didn't approve of Cain and his offering. So Cain became very angry and was disappointed.5 but he didn't respect Cain and his offering. Cain was very angry, and the expression on his face fell.5 and upon Cain, and on his offering, he did not look. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?6 Then the LORD asked Cain, "Why are you angry, and why do you look disappointed?6 Yahweh said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why has the expression of your face fallen?6 And Jehovah said to Cain, Why art thou angry, and why is thy countenance fallen?
"If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it."7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.7 If you do well, won't you be accepted? But if you don't do well, sin is lying outside your door ready to attack. It wants to control you, but you must master it."7 If you do well, will it not be lifted up? If you don't do well, sin crouches at the door. Its desire is for you, but you are to rule over it."7 If thou doest well, will not thy countenance look up with confidence? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door; and unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Cain told Abel his brother. And it came about when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.8 Cain talked to his brother Abel. Later, when they were in the fields, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.8 Cain said to Abel, his brother, "Let's go into the field." It happened when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel, his brother, and killed him.8 And Cain spoke to Abel his brother, and it came to pass when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" And he said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?"9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?9 The LORD asked Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he answered. "Am I supposed to take care of my brother?"9 Yahweh said to Cain, "Where is Abel, your brother?" He said, "I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper?"9 And Jehovah said to Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: am I my brother's keeper?
He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to Me from the ground.10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.10 The LORD asked, "What have you done? Your brother's blood is crying out to me from the ground.10 Yahweh said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground.10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood is crying to me from the ground.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;11 So now you are cursed from the ground, which has received the blood of your brother whom you killed.11 Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.11 And now be thou cursed from the ground, which hath opened its mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand.
"When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth."12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.12 When you farm the ground, it will no longer yield its best for you. You will be a fugitive, a wanderer on the earth."12 From now on, when you till the ground, it won't yield its strength to you. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth."12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield thee its strength; a wanderer and fugitive shalt thou be on the earth.
Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is too great to bear!13 And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.13 But Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can stand!13 Cain said to Yahweh, "My punishment is greater than I can bear.13 And Cain said to Jehovah, My punishment is too great to be borne.
"Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me."14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.14 You have forced me off this land today. I have to hide from you and become a fugitive, a wanderer on the earth. Now anyone who finds me will kill me!"14 Behold, you have driven me out this day from the surface of the ground. I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth. It will happen that whoever finds me will kill me."14 Behold, thou hast driven me this day from the face of the ground, and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a wanderer and fugitive on the earth; and it will come to pass, that every one who finds me will slay me.
So the LORD said to him, "Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD appointed a sign for Cain, so that no one finding him would slay him.15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.15 So the LORD said to him, "Not so! Anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over." The LORD gave Cain a sign so that anyone meeting him would not kill him.15 Yahweh said to him, "Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold." Yahweh appointed a sign for Cain, lest any finding him should strike him.15 And Jehovah said to him, Therefore, whoever slayeth Cain, it shall be revenged sevenfold. And Jehovah set a mark on Cain, lest any finding him should smite him.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Then Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden.16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.16 Then Cain left the LORD's presence and lived in Nod [The Land of Wandering], east of Eden.16 Cain went out from Yahweh's presence, and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.16 And Cain went out from the presence of Jehovah, and dwelt in the land of Nod, toward the east of Eden.
Cain had relations with his wife and she conceived, and gave birth to Enoch; and he built a city, and called the name of the city Enoch, after the name of his son.17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.17 Cain made love to his wife. And he built a city; and he called the name of the city after the name of his son Enoch.
Now to Enoch was born Irad, and Irad became the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael became the father of Methushael, and Methushael became the father of Lamech.18 And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.18 To Enoch was born Irad. Irad was the father of Mehujael. Mehujael was the father of Methushael. And Methushael was the father of Lamech.18 To Enoch was born Irad. Irad became the father of Mehujael. Mehujael became the father of Methushael. Methushael became the father of Lamech.18 And to Enoch was born Irad; and Irad begot Mehujael; and Mehujael begot Methushael; and Methushael begot Lemech.
Lamech took to himself two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other, Zillah.19 And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.19 Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah.19 Lamech took two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.19 And Lemech took two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the second, Zillah.
Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.20 And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.20 Adah gave birth to Jabal. He was the first person to live in tents and have livestock.20 Adah gave birth to Jabal, who was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.20 And Adah bore Jabal: he was the father of those who dwell in tents, and breed cattle.

His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe.21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.21 His brother's name was Jubal. He was the first person to play the harp and the flute.21 His brother's name was Jubal, who was the father of all who handle the harp and pipe.21 And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of those who handle the harp and pipe.
As for Zillah, she also gave birth to Tubal-cain, the forger of all implements of bronze and iron; and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.22 And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.22 Zillah also had a son, Tubalcain, who made bronze and iron tools. Tubalcain's sister was Naamah.22 Zillah also gave birth to Tubal Cain, the forger of every cutting instrument of brass and iron. Tubal Cain's sister was Naamah.22 And Zillah, she also bore Tubal-Cain, the forger of every kind of tool of brass and iron. And the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah.
Lamech said to his wives, "Adah and Zillah, Listen to my voice, You wives of Lamech, Give heed to my speech, For I have killed a man for wounding me; And a boy for striking me;23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.23 Lamech said to his wives, "Adah and Zillah, listen to me! Wives of Lamech, hear what I say! I killed a man for bruising me, a young man for wounding me.23 Lamech said to his wives, "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice. You wives of Lamech, listen to my speech, for I have slain a man for wounding me, a young man for bruising me.23 And Lemech said to his wives: Adah and Zillah, hear my voice, Ye wives of Lemech, listen to my speech. For I have slain a man for my wound, and a youth for my bruise.
If Cain is avenged sevenfold, Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold."24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.24 If Cain is avenged 7 times, then Lamech, 77 times."24 If Cain will be avenged seven times, truly Lamech seventy-seven times."24 If Cain shall be avenged seven-fold; Lemech seventy and seven fold.
Adam had relations with his wife again; and she gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, for, she said, "God has appointed me another offspring in place of Abel, for Cain killed him."25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.25 Adam made love to his wife again. She gave birth to a son and named him Seth, because [she said,] "God has given me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him." 25 Adam knew his wife again. NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
To Seth, to him also a son was born; and he called his name Enosh. Then men began to call upon the name of the LORD.26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.26 A son was also born to Seth, and he named him Enosh. At that time people began to worship the LORD.26 There was also born a son to Seth, and he named him Enosh.
