God Yearns over His People
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 When Israel was a youth I loved him, And out of Egypt I called My son.1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.1 "When Israel was a child, I loved him, and I called my son out of Egypt.1 "When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.1 When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.
 The more they called them, The more they went from them; They kept sacrificing to the Baals And burning incense to idols.2 As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images.2 The more I called them, the farther they went away. They sacrificed to other gods-the Baals, and they burned incense to idols. 2 They called to them, so they went from them. They sacrificed to the Baals, and burned incense to engraved images.2 As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto the Baals, and burned incense to graven images.
 Yet it is I who taught Ephraim to walk, I took them in My arms; But they did not know that I healed them.3 I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them.3 I was the one who taught the people of Ephraim to walk. I took them by the hand. But they didn't realize that I had healed them. 3 Yet I taught Ephraim to walk. I took them by his arms; but they didn't know that I healed them.3 And I it was that taught Ephraim to walk, He took them upon his arms, but they knew not that I healed them.
 I led them with cords of a man, with bonds of love, And I became to them as one who lifts the yoke from their jaws; And I bent down and fed them.4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.4 I led them with cords of human kindness, with ropes of love. I removed the yokes from their necks. I bent down and fed them. 4 I drew them with cords of a man, with ties of love; and I was to them like those who lift up the yoke on their necks; and I bent down to him and I fed him.4 I drew them with bands of a man, with cords of love; and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I gently caused them to eat.
 They will not return to the land of Egypt; But Assyria-- he will be their king Because they refused to return to Me.5 He shall not return into the land of Egypt, and the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.5 "They will not return to Egypt. Instead, Assyria will rule them because they have refused to return to me.5 "They won't return into the land of Egypt; but the Assyrian will be their king, because they refused to repent.5 He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king; for they refused to return to me;
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 The sword will whirl against their cities, And will demolish their gate bars And consume them because of their counsels.6 And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels.6 War will sweep through their cities, demolish their city gates, and put an end to their plans.6 The sword will fall on their cities, and will destroy the bars of their gates, and will put an end to their plans.6 and the sword shall turn about in his cities, and shall consume his bars, and devour them, because of their own counsels.
 So My people are bent on turning from Me. Though they call them to the One on high, None at all exalts Him.7 And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.7 My people are determined to turn away from me. Even if they call to the Most High, he will not pardon them.7 My people are determined to turn from me. Though they call to the Most High, he certainly won't exalt them.7 Yea, my people are bent upon backsliding from me: though they call them to the Most High, none at all exalteth him.
 How can I give you up, O Ephraim? How can I surrender you, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned over within Me, All My compassions are kindled.8 How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.8 "How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboim? I have changed my mind. I am deeply moved.8 "How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned within me, my compassion is aroused.8 How shall I give thee over, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee up, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? My heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
 I will not execute My fierce anger; I will not destroy Ephraim again. For I am God and not man, the Holy One in your midst, And I will not come in wrath.9 I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city.9 I will not act on my burning anger. I will not destroy Ephraim again. I am God, not a human. I am the Holy One among you, and I will not come to you in anger.9 I will not execute the fierceness of my anger. I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of you; and I will not come in wrath.9 I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not again destroy Ephraim; for I am God, and not man, the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not come in anger.
 They will walk after the LORD, He will roar like a lion; Indeed He will roar And His sons will come trembling from the west.10 They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west.10 "My people will follow me when I roar like a lion. When I roar, my children will come trembling from the west.10 They will walk after Yahweh, who will roar like a lion; for he will roar, and the children will come trembling from the west.10 They shall walk after Jehovah; he shall roar like a lion; when he shall roar, then the children shall hasten from the west:

 They will come trembling like birds from Egypt And like doves from the land of Assyria; And I will settle them in their houses, declares the LORD.11 They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD.11 They will come trembling like birds from Egypt and like doves from Assyria. I will settle them in their own homes," declares the LORD. 11 They will come trembling like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will settle them in their houses," says Yahweh.11 they shall hasten as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria; and I will cause them to dwell in their houses, saith Jehovah.
 Ephraim surrounds Me with lies And the house of Israel with deceit; Judah is also unruly against God, Even against the Holy One who is faithful.12 Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.12 "Ephraim surrounds me with lies. The nation of Israel surrounds me with deceit." Judah rebels against God, against the Holy One who is faithful.12 Ephraim surrounds me with falsehood, and the house of Israel with deceit. Judah still strays from God, and is unfaithful to the Holy One.12 Ephraim encompasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit; but Judah yet walketh with God, and with the holy things of truth.
