NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Ephraim feeds on wind, And pursues the east wind continually; He multiplies lies and violence. Moreover, he makes a covenant with Assyria, And oil is carried to Egypt.1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.1 The people of Ephraim try to catch the wind and try to chase the east wind all day. They are very violent and destructive. They make treaties with Assyria and take olive oil to Egypt.1 Ephraim feeds on wind, and chases the east wind. He continually multiplies lies and desolation. They make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.1 Ephraim feedeth on wind, and pursueth after the east wind: all day long he multiplieth lies and desolation; and they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried into Egypt.
The LORD also has a dispute with Judah, And will punish Jacob according to his ways; He will repay him according to his deeds.2 The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.2 The LORD brings charges against Judah and punishes Jacob because of the way their people act. He will pay them back for what they have done.2 Yahweh also has a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his deeds he will repay him.2 Jehovah hath also a controversy with Judah, and he will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
In the womb he took his brother by the heel, And in his maturity he contended with God.3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:3 Their ancestor Jacob held on to his brother's heel while the two of them were in their mother's womb. When Jacob became a man, he struggled with God.3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel; and in his manhood he contended with God.3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and in his strength he wrestled with God.
Yes, he wrestled with the angel and prevailed; He wept and sought His favor. He found Him at Bethel And there He spoke with us,4 Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;4 He struggled with the Messenger and won. Jacob cried and pleaded with him. Jacob found him at Bethel, and he talked with him there.4 Indeed, he struggled with the angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication to him. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with us,4 Yea, he wrestled with the Angel, and prevailed; he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spoke with us,
Even the LORD, the God of hosts, The LORD is His name.5 Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.5 The LORD is the God of Armies. The LORD is the name by which he is remembered.5 even Yahweh, the God of Armies; Yahweh is his name of renown!5 even Jehovah, the God of hosts, Jehovah is his memorial.

Therefore, return to your God, Observe kindness and justice, And wait for your God continually.6 Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually.6 Return to your God. Be loyal and fair, and always wait with hope for your God.6 Therefore turn to your God. Keep kindness and justice, and wait continually for your God.6 And thou, return unto thy God: keep loving-kindness and judgment, and wait on thy God continually.
A merchant, in whose hands are false balances, He loves to oppress.7 He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.7 [The LORD says,] "The merchants use dishonest scales. They love to cheat people.7 A merchant has dishonest scales in his hand. He loves to defraud.7 He is a merchant, balances of deceit are in his hand; he loveth to oppress.
And Ephraim said, "Surely I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself; In all my labors they will find in me No iniquity, which would be sin."8 And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.8 The people of Ephraim say, 'We're rich. We've made a fortune. With all this wealth, no one will find us guilty of any sin.'8 Ephraim said, "Surely I have become rich, I have found myself wealth. In all my wealth they won't find in me any iniquity that is sin."8 And Ephraim saith, Nevertheless I am become rich, I have found me out substance; in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin.
But I have been the LORD your God since the land of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, As in the days of the appointed festival.9 And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast.9 I am the LORD your God. I brought you out of Egypt. I will make you live in tents again as you did during your appointed festivals.9 "But I am Yahweh your God from the land of Egypt. I will yet again make you dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.9 But I that am Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt will again make thee to dwell in tents, as in the days of the solemn feast.
I have also spoken to the prophets, And I gave numerous visions, And through the prophets I gave parables.10 I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.10 I spoke to the prophets and gave them many visions. I taught lessons through the prophets." 10 I have also spoken to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions; and by the ministry of the prophets I have used parables.10 And I have spoken to the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and by means of the prophets have I used similitudes.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Is there iniquity in Gilead? Surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls, Yes, their altars are like the stone heaps Beside the furrows of the field.11 Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.11 The people of Gilead are evil. They are worthless. They sacrifice bulls in Gilgal. But their altars will become like piles of rubble beside a plowed field.11 If Gilead is wicked, surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field.11 If Gilead is iniquity, surely they are but vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
Now Jacob fled to the land of Aram, And Israel worked for a wife, And for a wife he kept sheep.12 And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.12 Jacob fled to the country of Syria. Israel worked to get a wife; he took care of sheep to pay for her.12 Jacob fled into the country of Aram, and Israel served to get a wife, and for a wife he tended flocks and herds.12 And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep.
But by a prophet the LORD brought Israel from Egypt, And by a prophet he was kept.13 And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.13 The LORD used a prophet to bring the people of Israel out of Egypt. He used a prophet to take care of them.13 By a prophet Yahweh brought Israel up out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was preserved.13 And by a prophet Jehovah brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved.
Ephraim has provoked to bitter anger; So his Lord will leave his bloodguilt on him And bring back his reproach to him.14 Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his LORD return unto him.14 The people of Ephraim made the LORD bitter. He will hold them guilty of murder. The Lord will pay them back for their insults.14 Ephraim has bitterly provoked anger. Therefore his blood will be left on him, and his Lord will repay his contempt.14 Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly; and his Lord shall leave his blood upon him, and recompense unto him his reproach.
