The Valley of Vision
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 The oracle concerning the valley of vision. What is the matter with you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops?1 The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops?1 This is the divine revelation about the valley of Vision. What's the matter with you? Why do all of you go up on the roofs?1 The burden of the valley of vision. What ails you now, that you have all gone up to the housetops?1 The burden of the valley of vision. What aileth thee now, that thou art wholly gone up to the housetops?
 You who were full of noise, You boisterous town, you exultant city; Your slain were not slain with the sword, Nor did they die in battle.2 Thou that art full of stirs, a tumultuous city, joyous city: thy slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.2 You are a city filled with shouting, a town filled with noise and excitement. Your people weren't killed with swords. Your dead didn't die in battle.2 You that are full of shouting, a tumultuous city, a joyous town; your slain are not slain with the sword, neither are they dead in battle.2 Thou that wast full of stir, a town of tumult, a joyous city: thy slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.
 All your rulers have fled together, And have been captured without the bow; All of you who were found were taken captive together, Though they had fled far away.3 All thy rulers are fled together, they are bound by the archers: all that are found in thee are bound together, which have fled from far.3 All your leaders fled together and were captured without their bows and arrows. All those who were found were taken prisoner before any of them could get far away.3 All your rulers fled away together. They were bound by the archers. All who were found by you were bound together. They fled far away.3 All thy rulers have fled together, they are taken prisoners without the bow: all that are found of thee are made prisoners together; they were fleeing far off.
 Therefore I say, "Turn your eyes away from me, Let me weep bitterly, Do not try to comfort me concerning the destruction of the daughter of my people."4 Therefore said I, Look away from me; I will weep bitterly, labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.4 That is why I say, "Turn away from me so that I can cry bitterly. Don't try to comfort me because of the destruction brought on my people."4 Therefore I said, "Look away from me. I will weep bitterly. Don't labor to comfort me for the destruction of the daughter of my people.4 Therefore said I, Look away from me; let me weep bitterly: labour not to comfort me, because of the spoiling of the daughter of my people.
 For the Lord GOD of hosts has a day of panic, subjugation and confusion In the valley of vision, A breaking down of walls And a crying to the mountain.5 For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity by the Lord GOD of hosts in the valley of vision, breaking down the walls, and of crying to the mountains.5 The Almighty LORD of Armies has chosen a special day. It will be a day of confusion and trampling in the valley of Vision, [a day of] tearing down walls and crying for help in the mountains.5 For it is a day of confusion, and of treading down, and of perplexity, from the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, in the valley of vision; a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains."5 For it is a day of trouble, and of treading down, and of perplexity, from the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, in the valley of vision; a day of breaking down the wall, and of crying to the mountain:
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Elam took up the quiver With the chariots, infantry and horsemen; And Kir uncovered the shield.6 And Elam bare the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen, and Kir uncovered the shield.6 Elam takes its quiver of arrows, manned chariots, and horsemen. Kir uncovers its shields.6 Elam carried his quiver, with chariots of men and horsemen; and Kir uncovered the shield.6 Elam beareth the quiver with chariots of men and horsemen; and Kir uncovereth the shield.
 Then your choicest valleys were full of chariots, And the horsemen took up fixed positions at the gate.7 And it shall come to pass, that thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.7 Then your fertile valleys will be filled with chariots, and horsemen will stand ready in front of the gate.7 It happened that your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array at the gate.7 And it shall come to pass that thy choicest valleys shall be full of chariots, and the horsemen shall set themselves in array at the gate.
 And He removed the defense of Judah. In that day you depended on the weapons of the house of the forest,8 And he discovered the covering of Judah, and thou didst look in that day to the armour of the house of the forest.8 On that day the LORD will remove the defenses of Judah. You will look for weapons in the House of the Forest. 8 He took away the covering of Judah; and you looked in that day to the armor in the house of the forest.8 And he uncovereth the covering of Judah: and thou didst look in that day to the armour in the house of the forest;
 And you saw that the breaches In the wall of the city of David were many; And you collected the waters of the lower pool.9 Ye have seen also the breaches of the city of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.9 You will see how many places in David's wall are broken. You will store water in the Lower Pool.9 You saw the breaches of the city of David, that they were many; and you gathered together the waters of the lower pool.9 and ye have seen the breaches of the city of David, that they are many; and ye have gathered together the waters of the lower pool;
 Then you counted the houses of Jerusalem And tore down houses to fortify the wall.10 And ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses have ye broken down to fortify the wall.10 You will count the houses in Jerusalem. You will tear down those houses in order to fortify the walls.10 You numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.10 and ye have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and have broken down the houses to fortify the wall;

 And you made a reservoir between the two walls For the waters of the old pool. But you did not depend on Him who made it, Nor did you take into consideration Him who planned it long ago.11 Ye made also a ditch between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but ye have not looked unto the maker thereof, neither had respect unto him that fashioned it long ago.11 You will build a reservoir between the two walls to hold the water of the Old Pool. You didn't look to Jerusalem's maker. You didn't see the one who formed it long ago.11 You also made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool. But you didn't look to him who had done this, neither did you have respect for him who purposed it long ago.11 and ye have made a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool: but ye have not had regard unto the maker thereof, neither have ye looked unto him that fashioned it long ago.
 Therefore in that day the Lord GOD of hosts called you to weeping, to wailing, To shaving the head and to wearing sackcloth.12 And in that day did the Lord GOD of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth:12 On that day the Almighty LORD of Armies will call for crying and for mourning, for shaving your heads and for wearing sackcloth.12 In that day, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, called to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to dressing in sackcloth:12 And in that day did the Lord Jehovah of hosts call to weeping, and to mourning, and to baldness, and to girding with sackcloth;
 Instead, there is gaiety and gladness, Killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep, Eating of meat and drinking of wine: "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die."13 And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die.13 Instead, you will rejoice, celebrate, slaughter cattle, and butcher sheep. You will eat meat, drink wine, and say, "Let's eat and drink because tomorrow we're going to die."13 and behold, joy and gladness, killing cattle and killing sheep, eating flesh and drinking wine: "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die."13 and behold joy and rejoicing, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: Let us eat and drink, for to-morrow we die.
 But the LORD of hosts revealed Himself to me, "Surely this iniquity shall not be forgiven you Until you die," says the Lord GOD of hosts.14 And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.14 The LORD of Armies revealed this to me: "Certainly, this wrong will not be forgiven even when you die," says the Almighty LORD of Armies.14 Yahweh of Armies revealed himself in my ears, "Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die," says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.14 And it was revealed in mine ears by Jehovah of hosts: Assuredly this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.
 Thus says the Lord GOD of hosts, "Come, go to this steward, To Shebna, who is in charge of the royal household,15 Thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, Go, get thee unto this treasurer, even unto Shebna, which is over the house, and say,15 This is what the Almighty LORD of Armies says: Go to Shebna, the man in charge of the palace, and say [to him],15 Thus says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, "Go, get yourself to this treasurer, even to Shebna, who is over the house, and say,15 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah of hosts: Go, get thee in unto this steward, unto Shebna, who is over the house, and say,

 'What right do you have here, And whom do you have here, That you have hewn a tomb for yourself here, You who hew a tomb on the height, You who carve a resting place for yourself in the rock?16 What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock?16 "What are you doing here? What right do you have to dig a tomb for yourself? What right do you have to cut it out in a prominent place? What right do you have to carve out a resting place for yourself in the rock?16 'What are you doing here? Who has you here, that you have dug out a tomb here?' Cutting himself out a tomb on high, chiseling a habitation for himself in the rock!"16 What hast thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewn thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth out his sepulchre on high, cutting out in the rock a habitation for himself?
 'Behold, the LORD is about to hurl you headlong, O man. And He is about to grasp you firmly17 Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee.17 Look, mighty man! The LORD will throw you out. He will grab you.17 Behold, Yahweh will overcome you and hurl you away violently. Yes, he will grasp you firmly.17 Behold, Jehovah will hurl thee with the force of a mighty man, and will cover thee entirely.
 And roll you tightly like a ball, To be cast into a vast country; There you will die And there your splendid chariots will be, You shame of your master's house.'18 He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house.18 He will wrap you up tightly like a turban. He will throw you far away into another land. There you will die. There your splendid chariots will remain. There you will become a disgrace to your master's household.18 He will surely wind you around and around, and throw you like a ball into a large country. There you will die, and there the chariots of your glory will be, you shame of your lord's house.18 Rolling thee up completely, he will roll thee as a ball into a wide country: there shalt thou die, and there shall be the chariots of thy glory, O shame of thy lord's house!
 "I will depose you from your office, And I will pull you down from your station.19 And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down.19 "I will remove you from your office and do away with your position.19 I will thrust you from your office. You will be pulled down from your station.19 And I will drive thee from thine office, and from thy station will I pull thee down.
 "Then it will come about in that day, That I will summon My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah,20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah:20 When that day comes, I will call my servant Eliakim, son of Hilkiah.20 It will happen in that day that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah,20 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkijah;

 And I will clothe him with your tunic And tie your sash securely about him. I will entrust him with your authority, And he will become a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.21 I will dress him in your linen robe and fasten it with your belt. I will give him your authority, and he will be like a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the nation of Judah.21 and I will clothe him with your robe, and strengthen him with your belt. I will commit your government into his hand; and he will be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.21 and I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand; and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
 "Then I will set the key of the house of David on his shoulder, When he opens no one will shut, When he shuts no one will open.22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.22 I will place the key of the house of David around his neck. What he opens no one will shut. What he shuts no one will open.22 I will lay the key of the house of David on his shoulder. He will open, and no one will shut. He will shut, and no one will open.22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; and he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
 "I will drive him like a peg in a firm place, And he will become a throne of glory to his father's house.23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.23 I will fasten him firmly in place like a peg, and he will be a source of honor for his father's household.23 I will fasten him like a nail in a sure place. He will be for a throne of glory to his father's house.23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a throne of glory to his father's house:
 "So they will hang on him all the glory of his father's house, offspring and issue, all the least of vessels, from bowls to all the jars.24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.24 They will hang on him the whole weight of his father's household, descendants and offspring and all the little utensils, from bowls to jars of every kind."24 They will hang on him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the pitchers.24 and they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, all the small vessels, as well the vessels of cups as all the vessels of flagons.
 "In that day," declares the LORD of hosts, "the peg driven in a firm place will give way; it will even break off and fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut off, for the LORD has spoken."25 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.25 The LORD of Armies declares, "On that day the peg which I firmly fastened in place will be removed. It will be cut off and will fall, and everything hanging on it will be destroyed." The LORD has spoken.25 "In that day," says Yahweh of Armies, "the nail that was fastened in a sure place will give way. It will be cut down, and fall. The burden that was on it will be cut off, for Yahweh has spoken it."25 In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in a sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for Jehovah hath spoken.
