Song of Trust in God’s Protection
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city; He sets up walls and ramparts for security.1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.1 On that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city. Its walls and fortifications provide safety.1 In that day, this song will be sung in the land of Judah: "We have a strong city. God appoints salvation for walls and bulwarks.1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; salvation doth he appoint for walls and bulwarks.
"Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter, The one that remains faithful.2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.2 Open the gates, and let the righteous nation come in, the nation that remains faithful.2 Open the gates, that the righteous nation may enter: the one which keeps faith.2 Open ye the gates, and the righteous nation which keepeth faithfulness shall enter in.
"The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.3 With perfect peace you will protect those whose minds cannot be changed, because they trust you.3 You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.3 Thou wilt keep in perfect peace the mind stayed on thee, for he confideth in thee.
"Trust in the LORD forever, For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:4 Trust the LORD always, because the LORD, the LORD alone, is an everlasting rock.4 Trust in Yahweh forever; for in Yah, Yahweh, is an everlasting Rock.4 Confide ye in Jehovah for ever; for in Jah, Jehovah, is the rock of ages.
"For He has brought low those who dwell on high, the unassailable city; He lays it low, He lays it low to the ground, He casts it to the dust.5 For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, even to the ground; he bringeth it even to the dust.5 He has brought down those who live high in the towering city. He levels it. He levels it to the ground and throws it into the dust.5 For he has brought down those who dwell on high, the lofty city. He lays it low. He lays it low even to the ground. He brings it even to the dust.5 For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low, he layeth it low to the ground, he bringeth it even to the dust.

"The foot will trample it, The feet of the afflicted, the steps of the helpless."6 The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.6 Feet trample it, the feet of the oppressed, the footsteps of the poor.6 The foot shall tread it down; Even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy."6 The foot shall tread it down, the feet of the afflicted, the steps of the poor.
The way of the righteous is smooth; O Upright One, make the path of the righteous level.7 The way of the just is uprightness: thou, most upright, dost weigh the path of the just.7 The path of the righteous is level. O Upright One, you make the road of the righteous smooth.7 The way of the just is uprightness. You who are upright make the path of the righteous level.7 The way of the just is uprightness: thou, the Upright, dost make the path of the just even.
Indeed, while following the way of Your judgments, O LORD, We have waited for You eagerly; Your name, even Your memory, is the desire of our souls.8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O LORD, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.8 Certainly, we wait with hope for you, O LORD, [as we follow] the path of your guiding principles. We want to remember you and your name.8 Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, have we waited for you. Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul.8 Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; the desire of our soul is to thy name, and to thy memorial.
At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.9 With my soul I long for you at night. Yes, with my spirit I eagerly look for you. When your guiding principles are on earth, those who live in the world learn to do what is right.9 With my soul have I desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me will I seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
Though the wicked is shown favor, He does not learn righteousness; He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, And does not perceive the majesty of the LORD.10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.10 Although the wicked are shown pity, they do not learn to do what is right. They do what is wrong in the upright land and do not see the majesty of the LORD.10 Let favor be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness. In the land of uprightness he will deal wrongfully, and will not see Yahweh's majesty.10 If favour be shewn to the wicked, he doth not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness he dealeth unjustly, and beholdeth not the majesty of Jehovah.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
O LORD, Your hand is lifted up yet they do not see it. They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame; Indeed, fire will devour Your enemies.11 LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.11 O LORD, your power is visible, but they do not see it. They will see how devoted your people are, and they will be put to shame. Your burning anger will destroy your enemies.11 Yahweh, your hand is lifted up, yet they don't see; but they will see your zeal for the people, and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.11 Jehovah, thy hand is lifted up, but they do not see: yet they shall see thy jealousy for the people, and be ashamed; yea, the fire which is for thine adversaries shall devour them.
LORD, You will establish peace for us, Since You have also performed for us all our works.12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought all our works in us.12 O LORD, you will establish peace for us, since you have done everything for us.12 Yahweh, you will ordain peace for us, for you have also worked all our works for us.12 Jehovah, thou wilt ordain peace for us; for thou also hast wrought all our works for us.
O LORD our God, other masters besides You have ruled us; But through You alone we confess Your name.13 O LORD our God, other lords beside thee have had dominion over us: but by thee only will we make mention of thy name.13 O LORD, our God, you are not the only master to rule us, but we acknowledge only you.13 Yahweh our God, other lords besides you have had dominion over us, but by you only will we make mention of your name.13 Jehovah our God, other lords than thee have had dominion over us; by thee only will we make mention of thy name.
The dead will not live, the departed spirits will not rise; Therefore You have punished and destroyed them, And You have wiped out all remembrance of them.14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.14 The wicked are dead. They are no longer alive. The spirits of the dead won't rise. You have punished them, destroyed them, and wiped out all memory of them.14 The dead shall not live. The deceased shall not rise. Therefore have you visited and destroyed them, and caused all memory of them to perish.14 They are dead, they shall not live; deceased, they shall not rise: for thou hast visited and destroyed them, and made all memory of them to perish.
You have increased the nation, O LORD, You have increased the nation, You are glorified; You have extended all the borders of the land.15 Thou hast increased the nation, O LORD, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.15 You have expanded the nation, O LORD. You have expanded the nation. You are honored. You have extended all the land's boundaries.15 You have increased the nation, O Yahweh. You have increased the nation! You are glorified! You have enlarged all the borders of the land.15 Thou hast increased the nation, Jehovah, thou hast increased the nation: thou art glorified. Thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth.

O LORD, they sought You in distress; They could only whisper a prayer, Your chastening was upon them.16 LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them.16 O LORD, the people have come to you in trouble. They were humbled by oppression, by your discipline upon them. 16 Yahweh, in trouble they have visited you. They poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them.16 Jehovah, in trouble they sought thee; they poured out their whispered prayer when thy chastening was upon them.
As the pregnant woman approaches the time to give birth, She writhes and cries out in her labor pains, Thus were we before You, O LORD.17 Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.17 O LORD, when we are with you, we are like pregnant women ready to give birth. They writhe and cry out in their labor pains.17 Like as a woman with child, who draws near the time of her delivery, is in pain and cries out in her pangs; so we have been before you, Yahweh.17 As a woman with child, that draweth near her delivery, is in travail, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been before thee, Jehovah.
We were pregnant, we writhed in labor, We gave birth, as it seems, only to wind. We could not accomplish deliverance for the earth, Nor were inhabitants of the world born.18 We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.18 We were pregnant; we writhed with labor pains only to give birth to the wind. We weren't able to bring salvation to the land, and no new people were born on earth.18 We have been with child. We have been in pain. We gave birth, it seems, only to wind. We have not worked any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.18 We have been with child, we have been in travail, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought the deliverance of the land, neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.
Your dead will live; Their corpses will rise. You who lie in the dust, awake and shout for joy, For your dew is as the dew of the dawn, And the earth will give birth to the departed spirits.19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.19 Your dead will live. Their corpses will rise. Those who lie dead in the dust will wake up and shout for joy, because your dew is a refreshing dew, and the earth will revive the spirits of the dead.19 Your dead shall live. My dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust; for your dew is like the dew of herbs, and the earth will cast forth the dead.19 Thy dead shall live, my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing in triumph, ye that dwell in dust; for thy dew is the dew of the morning, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.
Come, my people, enter into your rooms And close your doors behind you; Hide for a little while Until indignation runs its course.20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.20 My people, go to your rooms, and shut the doors behind you. Hide for a little while until his fury has ended.20 Come, my people, enter into your rooms, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for a little moment, until the indignation is past.20 Come, my people, enter into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee; hide thyself just for a little moment, until the indignation be past.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
For behold, the LORD is about to come out from His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; And the earth will reveal her bloodshed And will no longer cover her slain.21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.21 The LORD is going to come out from his dwelling place to punish those who live on earth for their sins. The earth will uncover the blood shed on it and will no longer cover up its dead bodies.21 For, behold, Yahweh comes forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth also will disclose her blood, and will no longer cover her slain.21 For behold, Jehovah cometh out of his place to visit the iniquity of the inhabitants of the earth upon them; and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.
