Memorial Stones from Jordan
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Now when all the nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD spoke to Joshua, saying,1 And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,1 The whole nation finished crossing the Jordan River. The LORD had told Joshua,1 It happened, when all the nation had completely passed over the Jordan, that Yahweh spoke to Joshua, saying,1 And it came to pass when the whole nation had completely gone over the Jordan, that Jehovah spoke to Joshua, saying,
 "Take for yourselves twelve men from the people, one man from each tribe,2 Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,2 "Choose one man from each of the 12 tribes.2 "Take twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man,2 Take you twelve men out of the people, one man out of every tribe,
 and command them, saying, 'Take up for yourselves twelve stones from here out of the middle of the Jordan, from the place where the priests' feet are standing firm, and carry them over with you and lay them down in the lodging place where you will lodge tonight.'"3 And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.3 Order them to pick up 12 stones from the middle of the Jordan, where the priests' feet stood firmly. Take the stones along with you, and set them down where you will camp tonight."3 and command them, saying, 'Take from out of the middle of the Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and carry them over with you, and lay them down in the lodging place, where you will lodge tonight.'"3 and command them, saying, Take up hence out of the midst of the Jordan, from the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and carry them over with you, and lay them down in the lodging-place where ye shall lodge this night.
 So Joshua called the twelve men whom he had appointed from the sons of Israel, one man from each tribe;4 Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man:4 Joshua called the 12 men whom he had selected (one from each tribe).4 Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man.4 And Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had appointed of the children of Israel, a man out of every tribe;
 and Joshua said to them, "Cross again to the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel.5 And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take you up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:5 He said to them, "Go to the middle of the Jordan River in front of the ark of the LORD your God. Each man must take a stone on his shoulder, one for each tribe of Israel.5 Joshua said to them, "Pass over before the ark of Yahweh your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you pick up a stone and put it on your shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel;5 and Joshua said to them, Pass before the ark of Jehovah your God into the midst of the Jordan, and lift up each of you a stone and put it upon his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel,

 "Let this be a sign among you, so that when your children ask later, saying, 'What do these stones mean to you?'6 That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones?6 This will be a sign for you. In the future your children will ask, 'What do these stones mean to you?'6 that this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask in time to come, saying, 'What do you mean by these stones?'6 that this may be a sign in your midst. When your children ask hereafter, saying, What mean ye by these stones?
 then you shall say to them, 'Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off.' So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever."7 Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.7 You should answer, 'The water of the Jordan River was cut off in front of the ark of the LORD's promise. When the ark crossed the Jordan, the river stopped flowing. These stones are a permanent reminder for the people of Israel.'"7 then you shall tell them, 'Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.'"7 then ye shall say to them, That the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of Jehovah; when it went through the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
 Thus the sons of Israel did as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, just as the LORD spoke to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel; and they carried them over with them to the lodging place and put them down there.8 And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.8 The people of Israel did as Joshua had ordered. They took 12 stones, one for each of the tribes of Israel. They took them from the middle of the Jordan as the LORD had told Joshua. They carried them to the camp and set them down there.8 The children of Israel did as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the middle of the Jordan, as Yahweh spoke to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel; and they carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.8 And the children of Israel did so, as Joshua had commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of the Jordan, as Jehovah had spoken to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel; and they carried them over with them to the lodging-place, and laid them down there.
 Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan at the place where the feet of the priests who carried the ark of the covenant were standing, and they are there to this day.9 And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.9 Joshua also set 12 stones in the middle of the Jordan River, where the priests who carried the ark of the promise had stood. The stones are still there today.9 Joshua set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant stood; and they are there to this day.9 And twelve stones did Joshua set up in the midst of the Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests who bore the ark of the covenant had stood firm; and they are there to this day.
 For the priests who carried the ark were standing in the middle of the Jordan until everything was completed that the LORD had commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua. And the people hurried and crossed;10 For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over.10 The priests who carried the ark remained standing in the middle of the Jordan. They stood there until everything the LORD had ordered Joshua to tell the people had been carried out. This was as Moses had told Joshua. The people hurried to the other side.10 For the priests who bore the ark stood in the middle of the Jordan, until everything was finished that Yahweh commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua; and the people hurried and passed over.10 And the priests who bore the ark stood in the midst of the Jordan, until everything was finished that Jehovah had commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua. And the people hasted and passed over.

 and when all the people had finished crossing, the ark of the LORD and the priests crossed before the people.11 And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.11 As soon as everyone had crossed, the priests with the LORD's ark crossed and went ahead of them.11 It happened, when all the people had completely passed over, that the ark of Yahweh passed over, with the priests, in the presence of the people.11 And it came to pass, when all the people had completely gone over, that the ark of Jehovah went over, and the priests, in the presence of the people.
 The sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh crossed over in battle array before the sons of Israel, just as Moses had spoken to them;12 And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them:12 The men of Reuben, Gad, and half of the tribe of Manasseh did as Moses had told them. They marched across in battle formation ahead of the people of Israel.12 The children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spoke to them.12 And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh, went over in array before the children of Israel, as Moses had spoken to them.
 about 40,000 equipped for war, crossed for battle before the LORD to the desert plains of Jericho.13 About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho.13 About 40,000 armed men crossed the river in front of the LORD to the plains of Jericho for battle.13 About forty thousand men, ready and armed for war passed over before Yahweh to battle, to the plains of Jericho.13 About forty thousand armed for military service passed over before Jehovah to the war, unto the plains of Jericho.
 On that day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; so that they revered him, just as they had revered Moses all the days of his life.14 On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.14 On that day the LORD honored Joshua in the presence of all the Israelites. As long as Joshua lived, the Israelites respected him in the same way they had respected Moses.14 On that day, Yahweh magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life.14 On that day Jehovah magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they had feared Moses, all the days of his life.
 Now the LORD said to Joshua,15 And the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying,15 The LORD said to Joshua,15 Yahweh spoke to Joshua, saying,15 And Jehovah spoke to Joshua, saying,

 "Command the priests who carry the ark of the testimony that they come up from the Jordan."16 Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan.16 "Order the priests who carry the ark of the testimony to come out of the Jordan River."16 "Command the priests who bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of the Jordan."16 Command the priests who bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of the Jordan.
 So Joshua commanded the priests, saying, "Come up from the Jordan."17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan.17 So Joshua ordered the priests, "Come out of the Jordan."17 Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, "Come up out of the Jordan!"17 And Joshua commanded the priests, saying, Come up out of the Jordan.
 It came about when the priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up from the middle of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up to the dry ground, that the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and went over all its banks as before.18 And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before.18 The priests who carried the ark of the LORD's promise came out of the middle of the Jordan. When their feet stepped onto dry land, the water of the Jordan returned to its seasonal flood level.18 It happened, when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh had come up out of the middle of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up to the dry ground, that the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and went over all its banks, as before.18 And it came to pass when the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of Jehovah had come up out of the midst of the Jordan, when the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up on to the dry land, that the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and they flowed as previously, over all its banks.
 Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth of the first month and camped at Gilgal on the eastern edge of Jericho.19 And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho.19 On the tenth day of the first month, the people came out of the Jordan River. They made their camp at Gilgal, just east of Jericho.19 The people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the east border of Jericho.19 And the people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, on the eastern extremity of Jericho.
 Those twelve stones which they had taken from the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal.20 And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal.20 At Gilgal Joshua set up the 12 stones they had taken from the Jordan.20 Joshua set up those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, in Gilgal.20 And those twelve stones which they had taken out of the Jordan did Joshua set up in Gilgal.

 He said to the sons of Israel, "When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, 'What are these stones?'21 And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones?21 He said to the people of Israel, "In the future when children ask their parents, 'What do these stones mean?'21 He spoke to the children of Israel, saying, "When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, 'What do these stones mean?'21 And he spoke to the children of Israel, saying, When your children hereafter ask their fathers, saying, What mean these stones?
 then you shall inform your children, saying, 'Israel crossed this Jordan on dry ground.'22 Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.22 the children should be told that Israel crossed the Jordan River on dry ground.22 Then you shall let your children know, saying, 'Israel came over this Jordan on dry land.22 then ye shall let your children know, saying, On dry land did Israel come over this Jordan;
 "For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed, just as the LORD your God had done to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed;23 For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over:23 The LORD your God dried up the Jordan ahead of you until you had crossed, as he did to the Red Sea until we had crossed.23 For Yahweh your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you, until you had passed over, as Yahweh your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up from before us, until we had passed over;23 because Jehovah your God dried up the waters of the Jordan from before you, until ye had passed over, as Jehovah your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we had passed over;
 that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the LORD is mighty, so that you may fear the LORD your God forever."24 That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever.24 The LORD did this so that everyone in the world would know his mighty power and that you would fear the LORD your God every day of your life."24 that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of Yahweh, that it is mighty; that you may fear Yahweh your God forever.'"24 that all peoples of the earth might know the hand of Jehovah, that it is mighty; that ye might fear Jehovah your God continually.
