The Consecration of Aaron and His Sons

2 "Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments and the anointing oil and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams and the basket of unleavened bread,2 Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;2 "Take Aaron and his sons, the priests' clothes, the anointing oil, the bull that will be the offering for sin, the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread.2 "Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bull of the sin offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread;2 Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments and the anointing oil, and the bullock of the sin-offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread;
3 and assemble all the congregation at the doorway of the tent of meeting."3 And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.3 Gather the whole congregation at the entrance to the tent of meeting."3 and assemble all the congregation at the door of the Tent of Meeting."3 and gather all the assembly together at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
4 So Moses did just as the LORD commanded him. When the congregation was assembled at the doorway of the tent of meeting,4 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.4 Moses did as the LORD commanded him, and the congregation gathered at the entrance to the tent of meeting.4 Moses did as Yahweh commanded him; and the congregation was assembled at the door of the Tent of Meeting.4 And Moses did as Jehovah had commanded him; and the assembly was collected at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
5 Moses said to the congregation, "This is the thing which the LORD has commanded to do."5 And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which the LORD commanded to be done.5 Moses told the congregation, "The LORD has commanded that this is what you must do."5 Moses said to the congregation, "This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded to be done."5 And Moses said to the assembly, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded to be done.

He fastened the ephod to it. 7 He put the coat on him, tied the sash on him, clothed him with the robe, put the ephod on him, and he tied the skillfully woven band of the ephod on him, and fastened it to him with it.7 And he put upon him the vest and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the cloak, and put the ephod on him, and he girded him with the girdle of the ephod, and fastened the ephod on him.
8 He then placed the breastpiece on him, and in the breastpiece he put the Urim and the Thummim.8 And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.8 Then he put the breastplate on him, and into it he placed the Urim and Thummim. 8 He placed the breastplate on him; and in the breastplate he put the Urim and the Thummim.8 And he put the breastplate on it, and put on the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim;
9 He also placed the turban on his head, and on the turban, at its front, he placed the golden plate, the holy crown, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.9 And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.9 He put the turban on him and fastened the gold medallion (the holy crown) to the front of the turban as the LORD had commanded Moses.9 He set the turban on his head; and on the turban, in front, he set the golden plate, the holy crown; as Yahweh commanded Moses.9 and he put the turban upon his head; and upon the turban, on the front of it, he put the golden plate, the holy diadem; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
10 Moses then took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and consecrated them.10 And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.10 Moses took the anointing oil to anoint the tent and everything in it and dedicate them.10 Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and sanctified them.10 And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it, and hallowed them.

14 Then he brought the bull of the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering.14 And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.14 He brought the bull that was the offering for sin. Aaron and his sons placed their hands on its head.14 He brought the bull of the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull of the sin offering.14 And he brought near the bullock for the sin-offering; and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bullock for the sin-offering;
15 Next Moses slaughtered it and took the blood and with his finger put some of it around on the horns of the altar, and purified the altar. Then he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it, to make atonement for it.15 And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.15 When it was slaughtered, Moses took the blood and put it on the horns of the altar all around with his finger and cleansed the altar from sins. He poured the rest of the blood at the bottom of the altar and declared it holy so that priests could use it to make peace with the LORD.15 He killed it; and Moses took the blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured out the blood at the base of the altar, and sanctified it, to make atonement for it.15 and he slaughtered it, and Moses took the blood, and put it on the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and cleansed the altar from sin, and the blood he poured at the bottom of the altar, and hallowed it, making atonement for it.

16 He also took all the fat that was on the entrails and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat; and Moses offered it up in smoke on the altar.16 And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.16 Moses took all the fat that was on the internal organs, the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with their fat, and he burned them on the altar.16 He took all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat; and Moses burned it on the altar.16 And he took all the fat that was on the inwards, and the net of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned them on the altar.
17 But the bull and its hide and its flesh and its refuse he burned in the fire outside the camp, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.17 But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.17 He burned the rest of the bull, its skin, meat, and excrement outside the camp, as the LORD commanded him.17 But the bull, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung, he burned with fire outside the camp; as Yahweh commanded Moses.17 And the bullock, and its skin, and its flesh, and its dung he burned with fire outside the camp, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
18 Then he presented the ram of the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.18 And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.18 He brought forward the ram for the burnt offering. Aaron and his sons placed their hands on the ram's head.18 He presented the ram of the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.18 And he presented the ram of the burnt-offering; and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram;

It was a burnt offering for a soothing aroma; it was an offering by fire to the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.21 And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savor, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.21 He washed the internal organs and the legs. Then Moses burned the whole ram on the altar as the LORD commanded him. It was a burnt offering, a soothing aroma, an offering by fire to the LORD.21 He washed the innards and the legs with water; and Moses burned the whole ram on the altar. It was a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma. 22 Then he presented the second ram, the ram of ordination, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.22 And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.22 He brought forward the second ram for the ordination offering. Aaron and his sons placed their hands on the ram's head.22 He presented the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.22 And he presented the second ram, the ram of consecration; and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram;
23 Moses slaughtered it and took some of its blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.23 And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.23 Moses slaughtered it, took some of the blood, and put it on Aaron's right ear lobe, on his right thumb, and on the big toe of his right foot.23 He killed it; and Moses took some of its blood, and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.23 and one slaughtered it; and Moses took of its blood, and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot;
24 He also had Aaron's sons come near; and Moses put some of the blood on the lobe of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot. Moses then sprinkled the rest of the blood around on the altar.24 And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.24 Moses also brought Aaron's sons forward. He put some of the blood on their right ear lobes, on their right thumbs, and on the big toes of their right feet. 25 He took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat that was on the entrails, and the lobe of the liver and the two kidneys and their fat and the right thigh.25 And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:25 He took the fat, the fat from the tail, all the fat on the internal organs, the lobe of the liver, the two kidneys with their fat, and the right thigh.25 He took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right thigh;25 And he took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat that was on the inwards, and the net of the liver, and the two kidneys and their fat, and the right shoulder;

26 From the basket of unleavened bread that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake and one cake of bread mixed with oil and one wafer, and placed them on the portions of fat and on the right thigh.26 And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:26 He took a loaf of unleavened bread, a ring of bread made with olive oil, and a wafer from the basket of unleavened bread which was in the LORD's presence. Moses presented all these things to the LORD as an offering.27 He put all these in Aaron's hands and in his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before Yahweh.27 and he gave all into Aaron's hands, and into his sons' hands, and waved them as a wave-offering before Jehovah.
28 Then Moses took them from their hands and offered them up in smoke on the altar with the burnt offering. They were an ordination offering for a soothing aroma; it was an offering by fire to the LORD.28 And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savor: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.28 Then he took them from their hands and burned them on top of the burnt offering on the altar. These were ordination offerings, offerings by fire, a soothing aroma to the LORD.28 Moses took them from their hands, and burned them on the altar on the burnt offering. They were a consecration for a pleasant aroma. 29 Moses also took the breast and presented it for a wave offering before the LORD; it was Moses' portion of the ram of ordination, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.29 And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses' part; as the LORD commanded Moses.29 Moses also took the breast from the ram of the ordination offering and presented it to the LORD. It was Moses' share, as the LORD had commanded.29 Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before Yahweh. 31 Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, "Boil the flesh at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and eat it there together with the bread which is in the basket of the ordination offering, just as I commanded, saying, 'Aaron and his sons shall eat it.'31 And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.31 Moses told Aaron and his sons: "Cook the meat at the entrance to the tent of meeting. Take the meat and the bread in the basket of the ordination offering. Eat them there as I commanded when I said, 'Aaron and his sons will eat it.'31 Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, "Boil the flesh at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of consecration, as I commanded, saying, 'Aaron and his sons shall eat it.'31 And Moses spoke to Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the entrance of the tent of meeting; and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of the consecration-offering, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.
32 "The remainder of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn in the fire.32 And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.32 You must burn any meat or bread that is left over.32 What remains of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn with fire.32 And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.
33 "You shall not go outside the doorway of the tent of meeting for seven days, until the day that the period of your ordination is fulfilled; for he will ordain you through seven days.33 And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you.33 You will not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting for seven days, not until the last day of your ordination is over. It will take seven days to ordain you.33 You shall not go out from the door of the Tent of Meeting seven days, until the days of your consecration are fulfilled: for he shall consecrate you seven days.33 And ye shall not go out from the entrance of the tent of meeting seven days, until the day when the days of your consecration are at an end: for seven days shall ye be consecrated.
34 "The LORD has commanded to do as has been done this day, to make atonement on your behalf.34 As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.34 I did today what the LORD commanded me to make peace with the LORD for you.34 What has been done this day, so Yahweh has commanded to do, to make atonement for you.34 As he hath done this day, so Jehovah hath commanded to do, to make atonement for you.
35 "At the doorway of the tent of meeting, moreover, you shall remain day and night for seven days and keep the charge of the LORD, so that you will not die, for so I have been commanded."35 Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.35 You will stay at the entrance to the tent of meeting day and night for seven days and serve as the LORD tells you. Then you will not die. This is what I was commanded."35 You shall stay at the door of the Tent of Meeting day and night seven days, and keep Yahweh's command, that you don't die: for so I am commanded."35 And ye shall abide at the entrance of the tent of meeting day and night seven days, and keep the charge of Jehovah, that ye die not; for so I am commanded.
