 For the choir director. A Song. A Psalm. Shout joyfully to God, all the earth;1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:1 [For the choir director; a song; a psalm.] Shout happily to God, all the earth!1 Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!1 {To the chief Musician. A Song: a Psalm.} Shout aloud unto God, all the earth:
 Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious.2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.2 Make music to praise the glory of his name. Make his praise glorious.2 Sing to the glory of his name! Offer glory and praise!2 Sing forth the glory of his name, make his praise glorious;
 Say to God, "How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will give feigned obedience to You.3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.3 Say to God, "How awe-inspiring are your deeds! Your power is so great that your enemies will cringe in front of you.3 Tell God, "How awesome are your deeds! Through the greatness of your power, your enemies submit themselves to you.3 Say unto God, How terrible are thy works! because of the greatness of thy strength, thine enemies come cringing unto thee.
 "All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name." Selah.4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.4 The whole earth will worship you. It will make music to praise you. It will make music to praise your name." [Selah]4 All the earth will worship you, and will sing to you; they will sing to your name." Selah.4 All the earth shall worship thee, and sing psalms unto thee: they shall sing forth thy name. Selah.
 Come and see the works of God, Who is awesome in His deeds toward the sons of men.5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.5 Come and see what God has done- his awe-inspiring deeds for Adam's descendants.5 Come, and see God's deeds-- awesome work on behalf of the children of men.5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doings toward the children of men.

 He turned the sea into dry land; They passed through the river on foot; There let us rejoice in Him!6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.6 He turned the sea into dry land. They crossed the river on foot. We rejoiced because of what he did there.6 He turned the sea into dry land. They went through the river on foot. There, we rejoiced in him.6 He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
 He rules by His might forever; His eyes keep watch on the nations; Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.7 He rules forever with his might. His eyes watch the nations. Rebels will not be able to oppose him. [Selah]7 He rules by his might forever. His eyes watch the nations. Don't let the rebellious rise up against him. Selah.7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes observe the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
 Bless our God, O peoples, And sound His praise abroad,8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:8 Thank our God, you nations. Make the sound of his praise heard.8 Praise our God, you peoples! Make the sound of his praise heard,8 Bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;
 Who keeps us in life And does not allow our feet to slip.9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.9 He has kept us alive and has not allowed us to fall.9 who preserves our life among the living, and doesn't allow our feet to be moved.9 Who hath set our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
 For You have tried us, O God; You have refined us as silver is refined.10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.10 You have tested us, O God. You have refined us in the same way silver is refined.10 For you, God, have tested us. You have refined us, as silver is refined.10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

 You brought us into the net; You laid an oppressive burden upon our loins.11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.11 You have trapped us in a net. You have laid burdens on our backs.11 You brought us into prison. You laid a burden on our backs.11 Thou broughtest us into a net, thou didst lay a heavy burden upon our loins;
 You made men ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water, Yet You brought us out into a place of abundance.12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.12 You let people ride over our heads. We went through fire and water, but then you brought us out and refreshed us.12 You allowed men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you brought us to the place of abundance.12 Thou didst cause men to ride over our head; we went through fire and through water: but thou hast brought us out into abundance.
 I shall come into Your house with burnt offerings; I shall pay You my vows,13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,13 I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will keep my vows to you,13 I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will pay my vows to you,13 I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will perform my vows to thee,
 Which my lips uttered And my mouth spoke when I was in distress.14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.14 the vows made by my lips and spoken by my [own] mouth when I was in trouble.14 which my lips promised, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
 I shall offer to You burnt offerings of fat beasts, With the smoke of rams; I shall make an offering of bulls with male goats. Selah.15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.15 I will offer you a sacrifice of fattened livestock for burnt offerings with the smoke from rams. I will offer cattle and goats. Selah.15 I will offer up unto thee burnt-offerings of fatted beasts, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.

 Come and hear, all who fear God, And I will tell of what He has done for my soul.16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.16 Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell you what he has done for me.16 Come, and hear, all you who fear God. I will declare what he has done for my soul.16 Come, hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
 I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue.17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.17 With my mouth I cried out to him. High praise was on my tongue.17 I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue.17 I called unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
 If I regard wickedness in my heart, The Lord will not hear;18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:18 If I had thought about doing anything sinful, the Lord would not have listened [to me].18 If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn't have listened.18 Had I regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not hear.
 But certainly God has heard; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.19 But God has heard me. He has paid attention to my prayer.19 But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer.19 But God hath heard; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
 Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer Nor His lovingkindness from me.20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.20 Thanks be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or taken away his mercy from me.20 Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me. For the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song.20 Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his loving-kindness from me!
