BOOK 1The Righteous and the Wicked Contrasted.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
1 How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.1 Blessed is the person who does not follow the advice of wicked people, take the path of sinners, or join the company of mockers.1 Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers;1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked, and standeth not in the way of sinners, and sitteth not in the seat of scorners;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.2 Rather, he delights in the teachings of the LORD and reflects on his teachings day and night.2 but his delight is in Yahweh's law. On his law he meditates day and night.2 But his delight is in Jehovah's law, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.3 He is like a tree planted beside streams- a tree that produces fruit in season and whose leaves do not wither. He succeeds in everything he does. 3 He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also does not wither. Whatever he does shall prosper.3 And he is as a tree planted by brooks of water, which giveth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf fadeth not; and all that he doeth prospereth.
4 The wicked are not so, But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.4 Wicked people are not like that. Instead, they are like husks that the wind blows away.4 The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.4 The wicked are not so; but are as the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.5 That is why wicked people will not be able to stand in the judgment and sinners will not be able to stand where righteous people gather.5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
6 For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked will perish.6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.6 The LORD knows the way of righteous people, but the way of wicked people will end.6 For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.6 For Jehovah knoweth the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.
