The Bride’s Troubled Dream
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
1 "On my bed night after night I sought him Whom my soul loves; I sought him but did not find him.1 By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.1 Night after night on my bed I looked for the one I love. I looked for him but did not find him.1 By night on my bed, I sought him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn't find him.1 On my bed, in the nights, I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
2 'I must arise now and go about the city; In the streets and in the squares I must seek him whom my soul loves.' I sought him but did not find him.2 I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.2 I will get up now and roam around the city, in the streets, and in the squares. I will look for the one I love. I looked for him but did not find him.2 I will get up now, and go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I didn't find him.2 I will rise now, and go about the city; In the streets and in the broadways Will I seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
3 "The watchmen who make the rounds in the city found me, And I said, 'Have you seen him whom my soul loves?'3 The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?3 The watchmen making their rounds in the city found me. [I asked,] "Have you seen the one I love?"3 The watchmen who go about the city found me; "Have you seen him whom my soul loves?"3 The watchmen that go about the city found me: Have ye seen him whom my soul loveth?
4 "Scarcely had I left them When I found him whom my soul loves; I held on to him and would not let him go Until I had brought him to my mother's house, And into the room of her who conceived me."4 It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.4 I had just left them when I found the one I love. I held on to him and would not let him go until I had brought him into my mother's house, into the bedroom of the one who conceived me.4 I had scarcely passed from them, when I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, into the room of her who conceived me.4 Scarcely had I passed from them, When I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, Until I had brought him into my mother's house, And into the chamber of her that conceived me.
5 "I adjure you, O daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles or by the hinds of the field, That you will not arouse or awaken my love Until she pleases."5 I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.5 Young women of Jerusalem, swear to me by the gazelles or by the does in the field, that you will not awaken love or arouse love before its proper time.5 I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, or by the hinds of the field, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires.5 I charge you, daughters of Jerusalem, By the gazelles, or by the hinds of the field, That ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
Solomon’s Wedding Day
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
6 "What is this coming up from the wilderness Like columns of smoke, Perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, With all scented powders of the merchant?6 Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?6 Who is this young woman coming up from the wilderness like clouds of smoke? She is perfumed with myrrh and incense made from the merchants' scented powders.6 Who is this who comes up from the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all spices of the merchant?6 Who is this, she that cometh up from the wilderness Like pillars of smoke, Perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, With all powders of the merchant? ...
7 "Behold, it is the traveling couch of Solomon; Sixty mighty men around it, Of the mighty men of Israel.7 Behold his bed, which is Solomon's; threescore valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel.7 Look! Solomon's sedan chair! Sixty soldiers from the army of Israel surround it. 7 Behold, it is Solomon's carriage! Sixty mighty men are around it, of the mighty men of Israel.7 Behold his couch, Solomon's own: Threescore mighty men are about it, Of the mighty of Israel.
8 "All of them are wielders of the sword, Expert in war; Each man has his sword at his side, Guarding against the terrors of the night.8 They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night.8 All of them are skilled in using swords, experienced in combat. Each one has his sword at his side and guards against the terrors of the night.8 They all handle the sword, and are expert in war. Every man has his sword on his thigh, because of fear in the night.8 They all hold the sword, Experts in war; Each hath his sword upon his thigh Because of alarm in the nights.

10 "He made its posts of silver, Its back of gold And its seat of purple fabric, With its interior lovingly fitted out By the daughters of Jerusalem.10 He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem.10 He had its posts made out of silver, its top out of gold, its seat out of purple fabric. Its inside-with inlaid scenes of love- was made by the young women of Jerusalem.10 He made its pillars of silver, its bottom of gold, its seat of purple, its midst being paved with love, from the daughters of Jerusalem.10 Its pillars he made of silver, Its support of gold, Its seat of purple; The midst thereof was paved with love By the daughters of Jerusalem.
