The Conversion of Saul
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,1 Saul kept threatening to murder the Lord's disciples. He went to the chief priest1 But Saul, still breathing threats and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,1 But Saul, still breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, came to the high priest
 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.2 and asked him to write letters of authorization to the synagogue leaders in the city of Damascus. Saul wanted to arrest any man or woman who followed the way [of Christ] and imprison them in Jerusalem.2 and asked for letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.2 and asked of him letters to Damascus, to the synagogues, so that if he found any who were of the way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
 As he was traveling, it happened that he was approaching Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him;3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:3 As Saul was coming near the city of Damascus, a light from heaven suddenly flashed around him.3 As he traveled, it happened that he got close to Damascus, and suddenly a light from the sky shone around him.3 But as he was journeying, it came to pass that he drew near to Damascus; and suddenly there shone round about him a light out of heaven,
 and he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?"4 He fell on the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"4 and falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why dost thou persecute me?
 And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" And He said, "I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.5 Saul asked, "Who are you, sir?" The person replied, "I'm Jesus, the one you're persecuting.5 He said, "Who are you, Lord?" The Lord said, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus, whom thou persecutest.

 but get up and enter the city, and it will be told you what you must do."6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.6 Get up! Go into the city, and you'll be told what you should do."6 But rise up, and enter into the city, and you will be told what you must do."6 But rise up and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
 The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but seeing no one.7 And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.7 Meanwhile, the men traveling with him were speechless. They heard the voice but didn't see anyone.7 The men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing the sound, but seeing no one.7 But the men who were travelling with him stood speechless, hearing the voice but beholding no one.
 Saul got up from the ground, and though his eyes were open, he could see nothing; and leading him by the hand, they brought him into Damascus.8 And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.8 Saul was helped up from the ground. When he opened his eyes, he was blind. So his companions led him into Damascus.8 Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened, he saw no one. They led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.8 And Saul rose up from the earth, and his eyes being opened he saw no one. But leading him by the hand they brought him into Damascus.
 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.9 And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.9 For three days he couldn't see and didn't eat or drink.9 He was without sight for three days, and neither ate nor drank.9 And he was three days without seeing, and neither ate nor drank.
 Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and the Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am, Lord."10 And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.10 A disciple named Ananias lived in the city of Damascus. The Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias!" Ananias answered, "Yes, Lord."10 Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias!" He said, "Behold, it's me, Lord."10 And there was a certain disciple in Damascus by name Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, here am I, Lord.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 And the Lord said to him, "Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying,11 And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,11 The Lord told him, "Get up! Go to Judas' house on Straight Street, and ask for a man named Saul from the city of Tarsus. He's praying.11 The Lord said to him, "Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judah for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying,11 And the Lord said to him, Rise up and go into the street which is called Straight, and seek in the house of Judas one by name Saul, he is of Tarsus: for, behold, he is praying,
 and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him, so that he might regain his sight."12 And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.12 In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias place his hands on him to restore his sight."12 and in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in, and laying his hands on him, that he might receive his sight."12 and has seen in a vision a man by name Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he should see.
 But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints at Jerusalem;13 Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:13 Ananias replied, "Lord, I've heard a lot of people tell about the many evil things this man has done to your people in Jerusalem.13 But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.13 And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many concerning this man how much evil he has done to thy saints at Jerusalem;
 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name."14 And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.14 Saul has come here to Damascus with authority from the chief priests to put anyone who calls on your name in prison."14 Here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name."14 and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call upon thy name.
 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel;15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:15 The Lord told Ananias, "Go! I've chosen this man to bring my name to nations, to kings, and to the people of Israel.15 But the Lord said to him, "Go your way, for he is my chosen vessel to bear my name before the nations and kings, and the children of Israel.15 And the Lord said to him, Go, for this man is an elect vessel to me, to bear my name before both nations and kings and the sons of Israel:

 for I will show him how much he must suffer for My name's sake."16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.16 I'll show him how much he has to suffer for the sake of my name."16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for my name's sake."16 for I will shew to him how much he must suffer for my name.
 So Ananias departed and entered the house, and after laying his hands on him said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit."17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.17 Ananias left and entered Judas' house. After he placed his hands on Saul, Ananias said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your way to Damascus, sent me to you. He wants you to see again and to be filled with the Holy Spirit."17 Ananias departed, and entered into the house. Laying his hands on him, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me, that you may receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit."17 And Ananias went and entered into the house; and laying his hands upon him he said, Saul, brother, the Lord has sent me, Jesus that appeared to thee in the way in which thou camest, that thou mightest see, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
 And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he got up and was baptized;18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.18 Immediately, something like fish scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. Then Saul stood up and was baptized.18 Immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he received his sight. He arose and was baptized.18 And straightway there fell from his eyes as it were scales, and he saw, and rising up was baptised;
 and he took food and was strengthened. Now for several days he was with the disciples who were at Damascus,19 And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.19 After he had something to eat, his strength came back to him. Saul was with the disciples in the city of Damascus for several days.19 He took food and was strengthened. Saul stayed several days with the disciples who were at Damascus.19 and, having received food, got strength. And he was with the disciples who were in Damascus certain days.
 and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus in the synagogues, saying, "He is the Son of God."20 And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.20 He immediately began to spread the word in their synagogues that Jesus was the Son of God.20 Immediately in the synagogues he proclaimed the Christ, that he is the Son of God.20 And straightway in the synagogues he preached Jesus that he is the Son of God.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying, "Is this not he who in Jerusalem destroyed those who called on this name, and who had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?"21 But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?21 Everyone who heard him was amazed. They asked, "Isn't this the man who destroyed those who worshiped the one named Jesus in Jerusalem? Didn't he come here to take these worshipers as prisoners to the chief priests [in Jerusalem]?"21 All who heard him were amazed, and said, "Isn't this he who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called on this name? And he had come here intending to bring them bound before the chief priests!"21 And all who heard were astonished and said, Is not this he who destroyed in Jerusalem those who called on this name, and here was come for this purpose, that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?
 But Saul kept increasing in strength and confounding the Jews who lived at Damascus by proving that this Jesus is the Christ.22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.22 Saul grew more powerful, and he confused the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Messiah.22 But Saul increased more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.22 But Saul increased the more in power, and confounded the Jews who dwelt in Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.
 When many days had elapsed, the Jews plotted together to do away with him,23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him:23 Later the Jews planned to murder Saul,23 When many days were fulfilled, the Jews conspired together to kill him,23 Now when many days were fulfilled, the Jews consulted together to kill him.
 but their plot became known to Saul. They were also watching the gates day and night so that they might put him to death;24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates day and night to kill him.24 but Saul was told about their plot. They were watching the city gates day and night in order to murder him.24 but their plot became known to Saul. They watched the gates both day and night that they might kill him,24 But their plot became known to Saul. And they watched also the gates both day and night, that they might kill him;
 but his disciples took him by night and let him down through an opening in the wall, lowering him in a large basket.25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let him down by the wall in a basket.25 However, Saul's disciples lowered him in a large basket through an opening in the wall one night.25 but his disciples took him by night, and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.25 but the disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 When he came to Jerusalem, he was trying to associate with the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple.26 After Saul arrived in Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples. But everyone was afraid of him. They wouldn't believe that he was a disciple.26 When Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join himself to the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.26 And having arrived at Jerusalem he essayed to join himself to the disciples, and all were afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.
 But Barnabas took hold of him and brought him to the apostles and described to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him, and how at Damascus he had spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus.27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.27 Then Barnabas took an interest in Saul and brought him to the apostles. Barnabas told the apostles how Saul had seen the Lord on the road and that the Lord had spoken to him. Barnabas also told them how boldly Saul had spoken about the one named Jesus in the city of Damascus.27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus.27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.
 And he was with them, moving about freely in Jerusalem, speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord.28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.28 Then Saul went throughout Jerusalem with the disciples. He spoke boldly with the power and authority of the Lord.28 He was with them entering into Jerusalem,28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem,
 And he was talking and arguing with the Hellenistic Jews; but they were attempting to put him to death.29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.29 He talked and argued with Greek-speaking Jews, but they tried to murder him.29 preaching boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus. He spoke and disputed against the Hellenists, but they were seeking to kill him.29 and speaking boldly in the name of the Lord. And he spoke and discussed with the Hellenists; but they sought to kill him.
 But when the brethren learned of it, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him away to Tarsus.30 Which when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.30 As soon as the disciples found out about this, they took Saul to Caesarea and sent him to Tarsus.30 When the brothers knew it, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him off to Tarsus.30 And the brethren knowing it, brought him down to Caesarea and sent him away to Tarsus.

 So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed peace, being built up; and going on in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace. The number of people increased as people lived in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.31 So the assemblies throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.31 The assemblies then throughout the whole of Judaea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being edified and walking in the fear of the Lord, and were increased through the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Peter’s Ministry
 Now as Peter was traveling through all those regions, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda.32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.32 When Peter was going around to all of God's people, he came to those who lived in the city of Lydda.32 It happened, as Peter went throughout all those parts, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda.32 Now it came to pass that Peter, passing through all quarters, descended also to the saints who inhabited Lydda.
 There he found a man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years, for he was paralyzed.33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.33 In Lydda Peter found a man named Aeneas who was paralyzed and confined to a cot for eight years.33 There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years, because he was paralyzed.33 And he found there a certain man, Aeneas by name, who had been lying for eight years upon a couch, who was paralysed.
 Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; get up and make your bed." Immediately he got up.34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.34 Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you well. Get up, and pick up your cot." Aeneas immediately got up.34 Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Get up and make your bed!" Immediately he arose.34 And Peter said to him, Aeneas, Jesus, the Christ, heals thee: rise up, and make thy couch for thyself. And straightway he rose up.
 And all who lived at Lydda and Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.35 Everyone who lived in the city of Lydda and the coastal region of Sharon saw what had happened to Aeneas and turned to the Lord in faith.35 All who lived at Lydda and in Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.35 And all who inhabited Lydda and the Saron saw him, who turned to the Lord.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Now in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which translated in Greek is called Dorcas); this woman was abounding with deeds of kindness and charity which she continually did.36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.36 A disciple named Tabitha lived in the city of Joppa. Her Greek name was Dorcas. She always helped people and gave things to the poor.36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which when translated, means Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and acts of mercy which she did.36 And in Joppa there was a certain female disciple, by name Tabitha, which being interpreted means Dorcas. She was full of good works and alms-deeds which she did.
 And it happened at that time that she fell sick and died; and when they had washed her body, they laid it in an upper room.37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.37 She became sick and died. Her body was prepared for burial and was laid in an upstairs room.37 It happened in those days that she fell sick, and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.37 And it came to pass in those days that she grew sick and died; and, having washed her, they put her in the upper room.
 Since Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, having heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him, imploring him, "Do not delay in coming to us."38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.38 Lydda is near the city of Joppa. When the disciples heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two men to him. They begged Peter, "Hurry to Joppa! We need your help!"38 As Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.38 But Lydda being near to Joppa, the disciples having heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him, beseeching him, Thou must not delay coming to us.
 So Peter arose and went with them. When he arrived, they brought him into the upper room; and all the widows stood beside him, weeping and showing all the tunics and garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them.39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.39 So Peter went with them. When he arrived, he was taken upstairs. All the widows stood around him. They were crying and showing Peter the articles of clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.39 Peter got up and went with them. When he had come, they brought him into the upper room. All the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.39 And Peter rising up went with them, whom, when arrived, they brought up into the upper chamber; and all the widows stood by him weeping and shewing him the body-coats and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.
 But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.40 Peter made everyone leave the room. He knelt and prayed. Then he turned toward the body and said, "Tabitha, get up!" Tabitha opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up.40 Peter put them all out, and kneeled down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, "Tabitha, get up!" She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.40 But Peter, putting them all out, and kneeling down, prayed. And, turning to the body, he said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and, seeing Peter, sat up.

 And he gave her his hand and raised her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.41 Peter took her hand and helped her stand up. After he called the believers, especially the widows, he presented Tabitha to them. She was alive.41 He gave her his hand, and raised her up. Calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.41 And having given her his hand, he raised her up, and having called the saints and the widows, presented her living.
 It became known all over Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.42 The news about this spread throughout the city of Joppa, and as a result, many people believed in the Lord.42 And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.42 And it became known throughout the whole of Joppa, and many believed on the Lord.
 And Peter stayed many days in Joppa with a tanner named Simon.43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.43 Peter stayed in Joppa for a number of days with Simon, a leatherworker.43 It happened, that he stayed many days in Joppa with one Simon, a tanner.43 And it came to pass that he remained many days in Joppa with a certain Simon, a tanner.
