Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,1 Then the LORD said to Moses,1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,1 And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
"On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.2 On the first day of the first month shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.2 "Set up the tent (the tent of meeting) on the first day of the first month of the year.2 "On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.2 On the day of the first month, on the first of the month, shalt thou set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
"You shall place the ark of the testimony there, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.3 And thou shalt put therein the ark of the testimony, and cover the ark with the vail.3 Place the ark containing the words of my promise inside it, and hang the canopy over the ark.3 You shall put the ark of the testimony in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.3 And thou shalt put in it the ark of the testimony, and shalt cover the ark with the veil.
"You shall bring in the table and arrange what belongs on it; and you shall bring in the lampstand and mount its lamps.4 And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.4 Bring in the table, and arrange everything on it. Bring in the lamp stand, and set up the lamps.4 You shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are on it. You shall bring in the lampstand, and light its lamps.4 And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it. And thou shalt bring in the candlestick and light its lamps.
"Moreover, you shall set the gold altar of incense before the ark of the testimony, and set up the veil for the doorway to the tabernacle.5 And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.5 Put the gold altar for incense in front of the ark. Put up the screen at the entrance to the tent.5 You shall set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.5 And thou shalt set the golden altar for the incense before the ark of the testimony; and hang up the curtain of the entrance to the tabernacle.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"You shall set the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.6 And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.6 "Put the altar for burnt offerings in front of the entrance to the tent of meeting.6 "You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.6 And thou shalt set the altar of burnt-offering before the entrance of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.
"You shall set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it.7 And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.7 Put the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it.7 You shall set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and shall put water therein.7 And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and shalt put water in it.
"You shall set up the court all around and hang up the veil for the gateway of the court.8 And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.8 Set up the surrounding courtyard, and put up the screen at the entrance to the courtyard.8 You shall set up the court around it, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.8 And thou shalt fix the court round about, and hang up the curtain at the gate of the court.
"Then you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall consecrate it and all its furnishings; and it shall be holy.9 And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the vessels thereof: and it shall be holy.9 Take the anointing oil, and anoint the tent and everything in it. In this way you will dedicate it and all its furnishings. Then it will be holy.9 "You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture: and it will be holy.9 And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shalt hallow it, and all its utensils; and it shall be holy.
"You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.10 And thou shalt anoint the altar of the burnt offering, and all his vessels, and sanctify the altar: and it shall be an altar most holy.10 Anoint the altar for burnt offerings and all the utensils. In this way you will dedicate the altar, and it will be most holy.10 You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar: and the altar will be most holy.10 And thou shalt anoint the altar of burnt-offering, and all its utensils; and thou shalt hallow the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"You shall anoint the laver and its stand, and consecrate it.11 And thou shalt anoint the laver and his foot, and sanctify it.11 Anoint the basin and stand, and they will be dedicated.11 You shall anoint the basin and its base, and sanctify it.11 And thou shalt anoint the laver and its stand, and hallow it.
"Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting and wash them with water.12 And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.12 "Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting, and wash them.12 "You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.12 And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons near, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and bathe them with water.
"You shall put the holy garments on Aaron and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may minister as a priest to Me.13 And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.13 Then dress Aaron in the holy clothes, and anoint him. In this way you will dedicate him to serve me as priest.13 You shall put on Aaron the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest's office.13 And thou shalt clothe Aaron with the holy garments, and anoint him, and hallow him, that he may serve me as priest.
"You shall bring his sons and put tunics on them;14 And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:14 Have his sons come forward, and dress them in their linen robes.14 You shall bring his sons, and put coats on them.14 And thou shalt bring his sons near, and clothe them with vests.
and you shall anoint them even as you have anointed their father, that they may minister as priests to Me; and their anointing will qualify them for a perpetual priesthood throughout their generations."15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.15 Anoint them to serve me as priests, as you anointed their father. Their anointing will begin a permanent priesthood for them for generations to come."15 You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest's office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations."15 And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may serve me as priests. And their anointing shall be to them an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Thus Moses did; according to all that the LORD had commanded him, so he did.16 Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he.16 Moses did everything as the LORD commanded him.16 Moses did so. According to all that Yahweh commanded him, so he did.16 And Moses did so: as Jehovah had commanded him, so did he.
Now in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was erected.17 And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.17 So the tent was set up on the first day of the first month of the second year [after the Israelites had left Egypt].17 It happened in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up.17 And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first of the month, that the tabernacle was set up.
Moses erected the tabernacle and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and inserted its bars and erected its pillars.18 And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.18 When Moses set up the tent, he put the sockets in place, put up the frames, inserted the crossbars, and set up the posts.18 Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.18 And Moses set up the tabernacle, and put in its bases, and fixed its boards, and put in its bars, and set up its pillars.
He spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.19 And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.19 He spread the outer tent over the inner tent and put the cover on top. Moses followed the LORD's instructions.19 He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.19 And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above over it; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
Then he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and attached the poles to the ark, and put the mercy seat on top of the ark.20 And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:20 He took the words of God's promise and put them in the ark. He put the poles on the ark and placed the throne of mercy on top of the ark.20 He took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.20 And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and put the staves in the ark, and put the mercy-seat above on the ark.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up a veil for the screen, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.21 Then he brought the ark into the tent and hung the canopy over it to mark off where the ark was. Moses followed the LORD's instructions.21 He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony, as Yahweh commanded Moses.21 And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and hung up the veil of separation, and covered the ark of the testimony; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
Then he put the table in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil.22 And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the vail.22 Moses put the table in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tent outside the canopy.22 He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside of the veil.22 And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside the veil,
He set the arrangement of bread in order on it before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.23 And he set the bread in order upon it before the LORD; as the LORD had commanded Moses.23 He arranged the bread on the table in the LORD's presence, following the LORD's instructions.23 He set the bread in order on it before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.23 and arranged the bread in order upon it before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
Then he placed the lampstand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.24 And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.24 He placed the lamp stand in the tent of meeting opposite the table, on the south side of the tent.24 He put the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.24 And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, opposite to the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
He lighted the lamps before the LORD, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.25 And he lighted the lamps before the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.25 He set up the lamps in the LORD's presence, following the LORD's instructions.25 He lit the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.25 And he lighted the lamps before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Then he placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the veil;26 And he put the golden altar in the tent of the congregation before the vail:26 Moses put the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the canopy.26 He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;26 And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil.
and he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.27 And he burnt sweet incense thereon; as the LORD commanded Moses.27 He burned sweet-smelling incense on it, following the LORD's instructions.27 and he burnt incense of sweet spices on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.27 And he burnt on it fragrant incense; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
Then he set up the veil for the doorway of the tabernacle.28 And he set up the hanging at the door of the tabernacle.28 Then he put up the screen at the entrance to the tent.28 He put up the screen of the door to the tabernacle.28 And he hung up the curtain of the entrance to the tabernacle.
He set the altar of burnt offering before the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.29 And he put the altar of burnt offering by the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation, and offered upon it the burnt offering and the meat offering; as the LORD commanded Moses.29 He put the altar for burnt offerings at the entrance to the tent (the tent of meeting). He sacrificed burnt offerings and grain offerings on it. Moses followed the LORD's instructions.29 He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as Yahweh commanded Moses.29 And he put the altar of burnt-offering at the entrance to the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt-offering and the oblation; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
He placed the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing.30 And he set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and put water there, to wash withal.30 He put the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing.30 He set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash.30 And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
From it Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet.31 And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat:31 Moses, Aaron, and his sons used this water to wash their hands and feet.31 Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.31 And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet out of it:
When they entered the tent of meeting, and when they approached the altar, they washed, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.32 When they went into the tent of the congregation, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as the LORD commanded Moses.32 They would wash whenever they went into the tent of meeting or whenever they approached the altar. Moses followed the LORD's instructions.32 When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as Yahweh commanded Moses.32 when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they drew near to the altar, they washed; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
He erected the court all around the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the veil for the gateway of the court. Thus Moses finished the work.33 And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work.33 He set up the courtyard around the tent and the altar and put up the screen at the entrance to the courtyard. Finally, Moses finished the work.33 He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.33 And he set up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the curtain of the gate of the court. And so Moses finished the work.
The Glory of the LORD
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.34 Then the [column of] smoke covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tent.34 Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle.34 And the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.
Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.35 Moses couldn't go into the tent of meeting, because the smoke settled on it and the glory of the LORD filled the tent.35 Moses wasn't able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh's glory filled the tabernacle.35 And Moses could not enter into the tent of meeting, for the cloud abode on it, and the glory of Jehovah filled the tabernacle.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Throughout all their journeys whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the sons of Israel would set out;36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:36 In all their travels, whenever the [column of] smoke moved from the tent, the Israelites would break camp.36 When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel journeyed in all their journeys.
but if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out until the day when it was taken up.37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.37 But if the column didn't move, they wouldn't break camp.37 but if the cloud wasn't taken up, then they didn't travel until the day that it was taken up.37 And if the cloud were not taken up, then they did not journey until the day that it was taken up.
For throughout all their journeys, the cloud of the LORD was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel.38 For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.38 So the LORD's column stayed over the tent during the day, and there was fire in the smoke at night. In this way all the Israelites could see the column throughout their travels.38 For the cloud of Yahweh was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.38 For the cloud of Jehovah was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, before the eyes of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
