NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Now Sarah lived one hundred and twenty-seven years; these were the years of the life of Sarah.1 And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah.1 Sarah lived to be 127 years old. This was the length of her life.1 Sarah lived one hundred twenty-seven years. This was the length of Sarah's life.1 And the life of Sarah was a hundred and twenty-seven years: these were the years of the life of Sarah.
Sarah died in Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan; and Abraham went in to mourn for Sarah and to weep for her.2 And Sarah died in Kirjatharba; the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan: and Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.2 She died in Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron) in Canaan. Abraham went to mourn for Sarah and to cry about her death.2 Sarah died in Kiriath Arba (the same is Hebron), in the land of Canaan. Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.2 And Sarah died in Kirjath-Arba: that is Hebron, in the land of Canaan. And Abraham came to mourn for Sarah, and to weep for her.
Then Abraham rose from before his dead, and spoke to the sons of Heth, saying,3 And Abraham stood up from before his dead, and spake unto the sons of Heth, saying,3 Then Abraham left the side of his dead wife and spoke to the Hittites,3 Abraham rose up from before his dead, and spoke to the children of Heth, saying,3 And Abraham rose up from before his dead, and spoke to the sons of Heth, saying,
"I am a stranger and a sojourner among you; give me a burial site among you that I may bury my dead out of my sight."4 I am a stranger and a sojourner with you: give me a possession of a buryingplace with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight.4 "I'm a stranger with no permanent home. Let me have some of your property for a tomb so that I can bury my dead wife."4 "I am a stranger and a foreigner living with you. Give me a possession of a burying-place with you, that I may bury my dead out of my sight."4 I am a stranger and a sojourner with you; give me a possession of a sepulchre with you, that I may bury my dead from before me.
The sons of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him,5 And the children of Heth answered Abraham, saying unto him,5 The Hittites answered Abraham,5 The children of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him,5 And the sons of Heth answered Abraham, saying to him,

"Hear us, my lord, you are a mighty prince among us; bury your dead in the choicest of our graves; none of us will refuse you his grave for burying your dead."6 Hear us, my lord: thou art a mighty prince among us: in the choice of our sepulchres bury thy dead; none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre, but that thou mayest bury thy dead.6 "Listen to us, sir. You are a mighty leader among us. Bury your dead in one of our best tombs. Not one of us will withhold from you his tomb for burying your dead."6 "Hear us, my lord. You are a prince of God among us. Bury your dead in the best of our tombs. None of us will withhold from you his tomb. Bury your dead."6 Hear us, my lord: thou art a prince of God among us: in the choicest of our sepulchres bury thy dead: none of us shall withhold from thee his sepulchre for burying thy dead.
So Abraham rose and bowed to the people of the land, the sons of Heth.7 And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.7 Abraham got up in front of the Hittites, the people of that region, and bowed with his face touching the ground.7 Abraham rose up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.7 And Abraham rose up, and bowed down to the people of the land, to the sons of Heth,
And he spoke with them, saying, "If it is your wish for me to bury my dead out of my sight, hear me, and approach Ephron the son of Zohar for me,8 And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and entreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,8 He said to them, "If you are willing to let me bury my wife, listen to me. Encourage Ephron, son of Zohar,8 He talked with them, saying, "If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight, hear me, and entreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,8 and spoke to them, saying, If it be your will that I should bury my dead from before me, hear me, and entreat for me Ephron the son of Zohar,
that he may give me the cave of Machpelah which he owns, which is at the end of his field; for the full price let him give it to me in your presence for a burial site."9 That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.9 to let me have the cave of Machpelah that he owns at the end of his field. He should sell it to me for its full price as my property to be used as a tomb among you."9 that he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he has, which is in the end of his field. For the full price let him give it to me among you for a possession of a burying-place."9 that he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which is his, which is at the end of his field; for the full money let him give it to me amongst you for a possession of a sepulchre.
Now Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth; and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the sons of Heth; even of all who went in at the gate of his city, saying,10 And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,10 Ephron was sitting among the Hittites. He answered Abraham so that everyone who was entering the city gate could hear him. He said,10 Now Ephron was sitting in the middle of the children of Heth. Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the children of Heth, even of all who went in at the gate of his city, saying,10 And Ephron was dwelling among the sons of Heth. And Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham, in the ears of the sons of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,

"No, my lord, hear me; I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the presence of the sons of my people I give it to you; bury your dead."11 Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.11 "No, sir, listen to me. I'm giving you the field together with the cave that is in it. My people are witnesses that I'm giving it to you. Bury your wife!"11 "No, my lord, hear me. I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the presence of the children of my people I give it to you. Bury your dead."11 No, my lord: hear me. The field give I thee; and the cave that is in it, to thee I give it; before the eyes of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.
 And Abraham bowed before the people of the land.12 And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.12 Abraham bowed down again in front of the people of that region.12 Abraham bowed himself down before the people of the land.12 And Abraham bowed down before the people of the land;
He spoke to Ephron in the hearing of the people of the land, saying, "If you will only please listen to me; I will give the price of the field, accept it from me that I may bury my dead there."13 And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.13 He spoke to Ephron so that the people of that region could hear him. He said, "If you would only listen to me. I will pay you the price of the field. Take it from me so that I can bury my wife there."13 He spoke to Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, "But if you will, please hear me. I will give the price of the field. Take it from me, and I will bury my dead there."13 and he spoke to Ephron, in the ears of the people of the land, saying, But if only thou wouldst listen to me, I give the money for the field: take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.
Then Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him,14 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,14 Ephron answered Abraham,14 Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him,14 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him,
"My lord, listen to me; a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that between me and you? So bury your dead."15 My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.15 "Sir, listen to me. The land is worth ten pounds of silver. What is that between us? Bury your wife!"15 "My lord, listen to me. What is a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver between me and you? Therefore bury your dead."15 My lord, hearken to me. A field of four hundred shekels of silver, what is that between me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, commercial standard.16 And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.16 Abraham agreed to Ephron's terms. So he weighed out for Ephron the amount stated in front of the Hittites: ten pounds of silver at the current merchants' exchange rate.16 Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the audience of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants' standard.16 And Abraham hearkened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the money that he had named in the ears of the sons of Heth four hundred shekels of silver, current with the merchant.
So Ephron's field, which was in Machpelah, which faced Mamre, the field and cave which was in it, and all the trees which were in the field, that were within all the confines of its border, were deeded over17 And the field of Ephron which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave which was therein, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all the borders round about, were made sure17 So Ephron's field at Machpelah, east of Mamre, was sold17 So the field of Ephron, which was in Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, the cave which was in it, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all of its borders, were deeded17 So the field of Ephron, which was at Machpelah, which was before Mamre, the field, and the cave that was in it, and all the trees that were in the field, that were in all its borders round about,
to Abraham for a possession in the presence of the sons of Heth, before all who went in at the gate of his city.18 Unto Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all that went in at the gate of his city.18 to Abraham. His property included the field with the cave in it as well as all the trees inside the boundaries of the field. The Hittites together with all who had entered the city gate were the official witnesses for the agreement. 18 to Abraham for a possession in the presence of the children of Heth, before all who went in at the gate of his city.18 were assured to Abraham for a possession before the eyes of the sons of Heth, before all who went in at the gate of his city.
After this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field at Machpelah facing Mamre (that is, Hebron) in the land of Canaan.19 And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre: the same is Hebron in the land of Canaan.19 After this, Abraham buried his wife Sarah in the cave in the field of Machpelah, east of Mamre (that is, Hebron).19 After this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before Mamre (that is, Hebron), in the land of Canaan.19 And after this, Abraham buried Sarah his wife in the cave of the field at Machpelah, opposite to Mamre: that is Hebron, in the land of Canaan.
So the field and the cave that is in it, were deeded over to Abraham for a burial site by the sons of Heth.20 And the field, and the cave that is therein, were made sure unto Abraham for a possession of a buryingplace by the sons of Heth.20 So the field and its cave were sold by the Hittites to Abraham as his property to be used as a tomb.20 The field, and the cave that is in it, were deeded to Abraham for a possession of a burying place by the children of Heth.20 And the field and the cave that was in it were assured to Abraham for a possession of a sepulchre by the sons of Heth.
