Bildad Speaks of the Wicked
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Then Bildad the Shuhite responded,1 Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,1 Then Bildad from Shuah replied [to Job],1 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,1 And Bildad the Shuhite answered and said,
 "How long will you hunt for words? Show understanding and then we can talk.2 How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.2 "How long before your words will end? Think it through, and then we'll talk.2 "How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.2 How long will ye hunt for words? Be intelligent, and then we will speak.
 "Why are we regarded as beasts, As stupid in your eyes?3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?3 Why do you think of us as cattle? Why are we considered stupid in your eyes?3 Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?3 Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed stupid in your sight?
 "O you who tear yourself in your anger-- For your sake is the earth to be abandoned, Or the rock to be moved from its place?4 He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?4 Why do you rip yourself apart in anger? Should the earth be abandoned for your sake or a boulder be dislodged?4 You who tear yourself in your anger, shall the earth be forsaken for you? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?4 Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of its place?
 "Indeed, the light of the wicked goes out, And the flame of his fire gives no light.5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.5 "Indeed, the light of the wicked is snuffed out. The flame of his fire stops glowing.5 "Yes, the light of the wicked shall be put out, The spark of his fire shall not shine.5 Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the flame of his fire shall not shine.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "The light in his tent is darkened, And his lamp goes out above him.6 The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.6 The light in his tent becomes dark, and the lamp above him is snuffed out.6 The light shall be dark in his tent. His lamp above him shall be put out.6 The light shall become dark in his tent, and his lamp over him shall be put out.
 "His vigorous stride is shortened, And his own scheme brings him down.7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.7 "His healthy stride is shortened, and his own planning trips him up.7 The steps of his strength shall be shortened. His own counsel shall cast him down.7 The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
 "For he is thrown into the net by his own feet, And he steps on the webbing.8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.8 His own feet get him tangled in a net as he walks around on its webbing.8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh.8 For he is sent into the net by his own feet, and he walketh on the meshes;
 "A snare seizes him by the heel, And a trap snaps shut on him.9 The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.9 A trap catches his heel. A snare holds him.9 A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.9 The gin taketh him by the heel, the snare layeth hold on him;
 "A noose for him is hidden in the ground, And a trap for him on the path.10 The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.10 A rope is hidden on the ground for him. A trap is on his path [to catch] him.10 A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him in the way.10 A cord is hidden for him in the ground, and his trap in the way.

 "All around terrors frighten him, And harry him at every step.11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.11 "Terrors suddenly pounce on him from every side and chase him every step he takes.11 Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall chase him at his heels.11 Terrors make him afraid on every side, and chase him at his footsteps.
 "His strength is famished, And calamity is ready at his side.12 His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.12 Hunger undermines his strength. Disaster is waiting beside him.12 His strength shall be famished. Calamity shall be ready at his side.12 His strength is hunger-bitten, and calamity is ready at his side.
 "His skin is devoured by disease, The firstborn of death devours his limbs.13 It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.13 His skin is eaten away by disease. Death's firstborn son eats away at the limbs of his body.13 The members of his body shall be devoured. The firstborn of death shall devour his members.13 The firstborn of death devoureth the members of his body; it will devour his members.
 "He is torn from the security of his tent, And they march him before the king of terrors.14 His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.14 He is dragged from the safety of his tent and marched off to the king of terrors.14 He shall be rooted out of his tent where he trusts. He shall be brought to the king of terrors.14 His confidence shall be rooted out of his tent, and it shall lead him away to the king of terrors:
 "There dwells in his tent nothing of his; Brimstone is scattered on his habitation.15 It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.15 Fire lives in his tent. Sulfur is scattered over his home.15 There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur shall be scattered on his habitation.15 They who are none of his shall dwell in his tent; brimstone shall be showered upon his habitation:

 "His roots are dried below, And his branch is cut off above.16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.16 His roots dry up under him. His branches wither over him.16 His roots shall be dried up beneath. Above shall his branch be cut off.16 His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off;
 "Memory of him perishes from the earth, And he has no name abroad.17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.17 All memory about him will vanish from the earth, and his reputation will not be known on the street corner.17 His memory shall perish from the earth. He shall have no name in the street.17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name on the pasture-grounds.
 "He is driven from light into darkness, And chased from the inhabited world.18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.18 He will be driven from the light into the dark and chased out of the world.18 He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.18 He is driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
 "He has no offspring or posterity among his people, Nor any survivor where he sojourned.19 He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.19 He will not have any children or descendants among his people or any survivor where he used to live.19 He shall have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he lived.19 He hath neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining in the places of his sojourn.
 "Those in the west are appalled at his fate, And those in the east are seized with horror.20 They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.20 People in the west are shocked by what happens to him. People in the east are seized with horror.20 Those who come after shall be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.20 They that come after shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before them were affrighted.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, And this is the place of him who does not know God."21 Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.21 This is what happens to the homes of wicked people and to those who do not know God." Admit That God Is Mistreating Me21 Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous. This is the place of him who doesn't know God."21 Surely, such are the dwellings of the unrighteous man, and such the place of him that knoweth not God.
