Job’s Confession
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
1 Then Job answered the LORD and said,1 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,1 Then Job answered the LORD,1 Then Job answered Yahweh,1 And Job answered Jehovah and said,
2 "I know that You can do all things, And that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted.2 I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.2 "I know that you can do everything and that your plans are unstoppable.2 "I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained.2 I know that thou canst do everything, and that thou canst be hindered in no thought of thine.
3 'Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?' "Therefore I have declared that which I did not understand, Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know."3 Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.3 "[You said,] 'Who is this that belittles my advice without having any knowledge [about it]?' Yes, I have stated things I didn't understand, things too mysterious for me to know.3 You asked, 'Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?' therefore I have uttered that which I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I didn't know.3 Who is he that obscureth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered what I did not understand; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
4 'Hear, now, and I will speak; I will ask You, and You instruct me.'4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.4 "[You said,] 'Listen now, and I will speak. I will ask you, and you will teach me.'4 You said, 'Listen, now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.'4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and inform me.
5 "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear; But now my eye sees You;5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.5 I had heard about you with my own ears, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.5 I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.5 I had heard of thee by the hearing of the ear, but now mine eye seeth thee:

6 Therefore I retract, And I repent in dust and ashes."6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.6 That is why I take back what I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show that I am sorry."6 Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes."6 Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.
God Displeased with Job’s Friends
7 It came about after the LORD had spoken these words to Job, that the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is kindled against you and against your two friends, because you have not spoken of Me what is right as My servant Job has.7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.7 After the LORD had said those things to Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz from Teman, "I'm very angry with you and your two friends because you didn't speak what is right about me as my servant Job has done.7 It was so, that after Yahweh had spoken these words to Job, Yahweh said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.7 And it came to pass after Jehovah had spoken these words to Job, that Jehovah said to Eliphaz the Temanite, Mine anger is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends; for ye have not spoken rightly of me, like my servant Job.
8 "Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to My servant Job, and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves, and My servant Job will pray for you. For I will accept him so that I may not do with you according to your folly, because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has."8 Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.8 So take seven young bulls and seven rams. Go to my servant Job, and make a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you. Then I will accept his prayer not to treat you as godless fools. After all, you didn't speak what is right about me as my servant Job has done."8 Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has."8 And now, take for yourselves seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt-offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, for ye have not spoken of me rightly, like my servant Job.
9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did as the LORD told them; and the LORD accepted Job.9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.9 Then Eliphaz of Teman, Bildad of Shuah, and Zophar of Naama went and did what the LORD had told them to do. And the LORD accepted Job's prayer.9 So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did what Yahweh commanded them, and Yahweh accepted Job.9 Then Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, went and did according as Jehovah had said unto them; and Jehovah accepted Job.
God Restores Job’s Fortunes
10 The LORD restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the LORD increased all that Job had twofold.10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.10 After Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored Job's prosperity and gave him twice as much [as he had before].10 Yahweh turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before.10 And Jehovah turned the captivity of Job, when he had prayed for his friends; and Jehovah gave Job twice as much as he had before.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
11 Then all his brothers and all his sisters and all who had known him before came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house; and they consoled him and comforted him for all the adversities that the LORD had brought on him. And each one gave him one piece of money, and each a ring of gold.11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.11 Then all his brothers and sisters and everyone who had previously known him came to him. They ate with him at his house, sympathized with him, and comforted him for all the evil the LORD had brought to him. Each one gave him some money and a gold ring. 11 Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that Yahweh had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.11 And all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, came to him, and they ate bread with him in his house, and they condoled with him, and comforted him concerning all the evil that Jehovah had brought upon him; and every one gave him a piece of money, and every one a golden ring.
12 The LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; and he had 14,000 sheep and 6,000 camels and 1,000 yoke of oxen and 1,000 female donkeys.12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.12 The LORD blessed the latter years of Job's life more than the earlier years. He had 14,000 sheep and goats, 6,000 camels, 2,000 oxen, and 1,000 donkeys.12 So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.12 And Jehovah blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning; and he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
13 He had seven sons and three daughters.13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.13 He also had seven sons and three daughters.13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.13 And he had seven sons and three daughters.
14 He named the first Jemimah, and the second Keziah, and the third Keren-happuch.14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.14 He named the first [daughter] Jemimah, the second Cassia, and the third Keren Happuch.14 He called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren Happuch.14 And he called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch.
15 In all the land no women were found so fair as Job's daughters; and their father gave them inheritance among their brothers.15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.15 Nowhere in the whole country could be found women who were as beautiful as Job's daughters. Their father gave them and their brothers an inheritance.15 In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.15 And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
16 After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations.16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations.16 Job lived 140 years after this. He saw his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 16 After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, to four generations.16 And Job lived after this a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, four generations.
17 And Job died, an old man and full of days.17 So Job died, being old and full of days.17 Then at a very old age, Job died.17 So Job died, being old and full of days. BOOK I17 And Job died, old and full of days.
