Mary Anoints Jesus
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Jesus, therefore, six days before the Passover, came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.1 Six days before Passover, Jesus arrived in Bethany. Lazarus, whom Jesus had brought back to life, lived there.1 Then six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.1 Jesus therefore, six days before the passover, came to Bethany, where was the dead man Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from among the dead.
 So they made Him a supper there, and Martha was serving; but Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him.2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.2 Dinner was prepared for Jesus in Bethany. Martha served the dinner, and Lazarus was one of the people eating with Jesus.2 So they made him a supper there. Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with him.2 There therefore they made him a supper, and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those at table with him.
 Mary then took a pound of very costly perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.3 Mary took a bottle of very expensive perfume made from pure nard and poured it on Jesus' feet. Then she dried his feet with her hair. The fragrance of the perfume filled the house.3 Mary, therefore, took a pound of ointment of pure nard, very precious, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.3 Mary therefore, having taken a pound of ointment of pure nard of great price, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair, and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.
 But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, who was intending to betray Him, said,4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,4 One of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was going to betray him, asked,4 Then Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, one of his disciples, who would betray him, said,4 One of his disciples therefore, Judas son of Simon, Iscariote, who was about to deliver him up, says,
 "Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and given to poor people?"5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?5 "Why wasn't this perfume sold for a high price and the money given to the poor?"5 "Why wasn't this ointment sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?"5 Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Now he said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he had the money box, he used to pilfer what was put into it.6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.6 (Judas didn't say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief. He was in charge of the moneybag and carried the contributions.)6 Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it.6 But he said this, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief and had the bag, and carried what was put into it.
 Therefore Jesus said, "Let her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of My burial.7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.7 Jesus said to Judas, "Leave her alone! She has done this to prepare me for the day I will be placed in a tomb.7 But Jesus said, "Leave her alone. She has kept this for the day of my burial.7 Jesus therefore said, Suffer her to have kept this for the day of my preparation for burial;
 "For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me."8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.8 You will always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me with you."8 For you always have the poor with you, but you don't always have me."8 for ye have the poor always with you, but me ye have not always.
 The large crowd of the Jews then learned that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He raised from the dead.9 Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.9 A large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was in Bethany. So they went there not only to see Jesus but also to see Lazarus, whom Jesus had brought back to life.9 A large crowd therefore of the Jews learned that he was there, and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.9 A great crowd therefore of the Jews knew that he was there; and they came, not because of Jesus only, but also that they might see Lazarus whom he raised from among the dead.
 But the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death also;10 But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death;10 The chief priests planned to kill Lazarus too.10 But the chief priests conspired to put Lazarus to death also,10 But the chief priests took counsel that they might kill Lazarus also,

 because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and were believing in Jesus.11 Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away, and believed on Jesus.11 Lazarus was the reason why many people were leaving the Jews and believing in Jesus.11 because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.11 because many of the Jews went away on his account and believed on Jesus.
Jesus Enters Jerusalem
 On the next day the large crowd who had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,12 On the next day the large crowd that had come to the Passover festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.12 On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,12 On the morrow a great crowd who came to the feast, having heard that Jesus is coming into Jerusalem,
 took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and began to shout, "Hosanna! BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD, even the King of Israel."13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.13 So they took palm branches and went to meet him. They were shouting, "Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord, the king of Israel!"13 they took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet him, and cried out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!"13 took branches of palms and went out to meet him, and cried, Hosanna, blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel.
 Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written,14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,14 Jesus obtained a donkey and sat on it, as Scripture says:14 Jesus, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,14 And Jesus, having found a young ass, sat upon it; as it is written,
 "FEAR NOT, DAUGHTER OF ZION; BEHOLD, YOUR KING IS COMING, SEATED ON A DONKEY'S COLT."15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.15 "Don't be afraid, people of Zion! Your king is coming. He is riding on a donkey's colt."15 "Don't be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey's colt."15 Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

 These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things to Him.16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.16 At first Jesus' disciples didn't know what these prophecies meant. However, when Jesus was glorified, the disciples remembered that these prophecies had been written about him. The disciples remembered that they had taken part in fulfilling the prophecies.16 His disciples didn't understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.16 Now his disciples knew not these things at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him.
 So the people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him.17 The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record.17 The people who had been with Jesus when he called Lazarus from the tomb and brought him back to life reported what they had seen.17 The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, was testifying about it.17 The crowd therefore that was with him bore witness because he had called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from among the dead.
 For this reason also the people went and met Him, because they heard that He had performed this sign.18 For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle.18 Because the crowd heard that Jesus had performed this miracle, they came to meet him.18 For this cause also the multitude went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.18 Therefore also the crowd met him because they had heard that he had done this sign.
 So the Pharisees said to one another, "You see that you are not doing any good; look, the world has gone after Him."19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.19 The Pharisees said to each other, "This is getting us nowhere. Look! The whole world is following him!"19 The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him."19 The Pharisees therefore said to one another, Ye see that ye profit nothing: behold, the world is gone after him.
Greeks Seek Jesus
 Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast;20 And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast:20 Some Greeks were among those who came to worship during the Passover festival.20 Now there were certain Greeks among those that went up to worship at the feast.20 And there were certain Greeks among those who came up that they might worship in the feast;

 these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."21 The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.21 They went to Philip (who was from Bethsaida in Galilee) and told him, "Sir, we would like to meet Jesus."21 These, therefore, came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, "Sir, we want to see Jesus."21 these therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and they asked him saying, Sir, we desire to see Jesus.
 Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus.22 Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again Andrew and Philip tell Jesus.22 Philip told Andrew, and they told Jesus.22 Philip came and told Andrew, and in turn, Andrew came with Philip, and they told Jesus.22 Philip comes and tells Andrew, and again Andrew comes and Philip, and they tell Jesus.
 And Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.23 And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.23 Jesus replied to them, "The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.23 Jesus answered them, "The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.23 But Jesus answered them saying, The hour is come that the Son of man should be glorified.
 "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.24 I can guarantee this truth: A single grain of wheat doesn't produce anything unless it is planted in the ground and dies. If it dies, it will produce a lot of grain.24 Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except the grain of wheat falling into the ground die, it abides alone; but if it die, it bears much fruit.
 "He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.25 Those who love their lives will destroy them, and those who hate their lives in this world will guard them for everlasting life.25 He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this world will keep it to eternal life.25 He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.26 Those who serve me must follow me. My servants will be with me wherever I will be. If people serve me, the Father will honor them.26 If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there will my servant also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.26 If any one serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there also shall be my servant. And if any one serve me, him shall the Father honour.
Jesus Foretells His Death
 "Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, 'Father, save Me from this hour '? But for this purpose I came to this hour.27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.27 "I am too deeply troubled now to know how to express my feelings. Should I say, 'Father, save me from this time [of suffering]'? No! I came for this time of suffering.27 "Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say? 'Father, save me from this time?' But for this cause I came to this time.27 Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But on account of this have I come to this hour.
 "Father, glorify Your name." Then a voice came out of heaven: "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.28 Father, give glory to your name." A voice from heaven said, "I have given it glory, and I will give it glory again."28 Father, glorify your name!" Then there came a voice out of the sky, saying, "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."28 Father, glorify thy name. There came therefore a voice out of heaven, I both have glorified and will glorify it again.
 So the crowd of people who stood by and heard it were saying that it had thundered; others were saying, "An angel has spoken to Him."29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.29 The crowd standing there heard the voice and said that it had thundered. Others in the crowd said that an angel had talked to him.29 The multitude therefore, who stood by and heard it, said that it had thundered. Others said, "An angel has spoken to him."29 The crowd therefore, which stood there and heard it, said that it had thundered. Others said, An angel has spoken to him.
 Jesus answered and said, "This voice has not come for My sake, but for your sakes.30 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.30 Jesus replied, "That voice wasn't for my benefit but for yours.30 Jesus answered, "This voice hasn't come for my sake, but for your sakes.30 Jesus answered and said, Not on my account has this voice come, but on yours.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.31 "This world is being judged now. The ruler of this world will be thrown out now.31 Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world will be cast out.31 Now is the judgment of this world; now shall the prince of this world be cast out:
 "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.32 When I have been lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people toward me."32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."32 and I, if I be lifted up out of the earth, will draw all to me.
 But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.33 By saying this, he indicated how he was going to die.33 But he said this, signifying by what kind of death he should die.33 But this he said signifying by what death he was about to die.
 The crowd then answered Him, "We have heard out of the Law that the Christ is to remain forever; and how can You say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up'? Who is this Son of Man?"34 The people answered him, We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?34 The crowd responded to him, "We have heard from the Scriptures that the Messiah will remain here forever. So how can you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up from the earth'? Who is this 'Son of Man'?"34 The multitude answered him, "We have heard out of the law that the Christ remains forever. How do you say, 'The Son of Man must be lifted up?' Who is this Son of Man?"34 The crowd answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ abides for ever; and how sayest thou that the Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this, the Son of man?
 So Jesus said to them, "For a little while longer the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that darkness will not overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.35 Jesus answered the crowd, "The light will still be with you for a little while. Walk while you have light so that darkness won't defeat you. Those who walk in the dark don't know where they're going.35 Jesus therefore said to them, "Yet a little while the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness doesn't overtake you. He who walks in the darkness doesn't know where he is going.35 Jesus therefore said to them, Yet a little while is the light amongst you. Walk while ye have the light, that darkness may not overtake you. And he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light." These things Jesus spoke, and He went away and hid Himself from them.36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.36 While you have the light, believe in the light so that you will become people whose lives show the light." After Jesus had said this, he was concealed as he left.36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become children of light." Jesus said these things, and he departed and hid himself from them.36 While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may become sons of light. Jesus said these things, and going away hid himself from them.
 But though He had performed so many signs before them, yet they were not believing in Him.37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:37 Although they had seen Jesus perform so many miracles, they wouldn't believe in him.37 But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn't believe in him,37 But though he had done so many signs before them, they believed not on him,
 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet which he spoke: "LORD, WHO HAS BELIEVED OUR REPORT? AND TO WHOM HAS THE ARM OF THE LORD BEEN REVEALED?"38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?38 In this way the words of the prophet Isaiah came true: "Lord, who has believed our message? To whom has the Lord's power been revealed?"38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke, "Lord, who has believed our report? To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"38 that the word of the prophet Esaias which he said might be fulfilled, Lord, who has believed our report? and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
 For this reason they could not believe, for Isaiah said again,39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,39 So the people couldn't believe because, as Isaiah also said,39 For this cause they couldn't believe, for Isaiah said again,39 On this account they could not believe, because Esaias said again,
 "HE HAS BLINDED THEIR EYES AND HE HARDENED THEIR HEART, SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT SEE WITH THEIR EYES AND PERCEIVE WITH THEIR HEART, AND BE CONVERTED AND I HEAL THEM."40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.40 "God blinded them and made them close-minded so that their eyes don't see and their minds don't understand. And they never turn to me for healing!"40 "He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them."40 He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, that they may not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart and be converted, and I should heal them.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 These things Isaiah said because he saw His glory, and he spoke of Him.41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.41 Isaiah said this because he had seen Jesus' glory and had spoken about him.41 Isaiah said these things when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.41 These things said Esaias because he saw his glory and spoke of him.
 Nevertheless many even of the rulers believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing Him, for fear that they would be put out of the synagogue;42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:42 Many rulers believed in Jesus. However, they wouldn't admit it publicly because the Pharisees would have thrown them out of the synagogue.42 Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed in him, but because of the Pharisees they didn't confess it, so that they wouldn't be put out of the synagogue,42 Although indeed from among the rulers also many believed on him, but on account of the Pharisees did not confess him, that they might not be put out of the synagogue:
 for they loved the approval of men rather than the approval of God.43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.43 They were more concerned about what people thought of them than about what God thought of them.43 for they loved men's praise more than God's praise.43 for they loved glory from men rather than glory from God.
 And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me.44 Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.44 Then Jesus said loudly, "Whoever believes in me believes not only in me but also in the one who sent me.44 Jesus cried out and said, "Whoever believes in me, believes not in me, but in him who sent me.44 But Jesus cried and said, He that believes on me, believes not on me, but on him that sent me;
 "He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me.45 And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me.45 Whoever sees me sees the one who sent me.45 He who sees me sees him who sent me.45 and he that beholds me, beholds him that sent me.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.46 I am the light that has come into the world so that everyone who believes in me will not live in the dark.46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in the darkness.46 I am come into the world as light, that every one that believes on me may not abide in darkness;
 "If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.47 If anyone hears my words and doesn't follow them, I don't condemn them. I didn't come to condemn the world but to save the world.47 If anyone listens to my sayings, and doesn't believe, I don't judge him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.47 and if any one hear my words and do not keep them, I judge him not, for I am not come that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world.
 "He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.48 Those who reject me by not accepting what I say have a judge appointed for them. The words that I have spoken will judge them on the last day.48 He who rejects me, and doesn't receive my sayings, has one who judges him. The word that I spoke, the same will judge him in the last day.48 He that rejects me and does not receive my words, has him who judges him: the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.
 "For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak.49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.49 I have not spoken on my own. Instead, the Father who sent me told me what I should say and how I should say it.49 For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.49 For I have not spoken from myself, but the Father who sent me has himself given me commandment what I should say and what I should speak;
 "I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me."50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.50 I know that what he commands is eternal life. Whatever I say is what the Father told me to say."50 I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak."50 and I know that his commandment is life eternal. What therefore I speak, as the Father has said to me, so I speak.
