In the garden was a new tomb in which no man had ever yet been laid. | 41 But there was in the place where he had been crucified a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had ever been laid. | 42 Therefore because of the Jewish day of preparation, since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there. | 42 There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand. | 42 Joseph and Nicodemus put Jesus in that tomb, since that day was the Jewish day of preparation and since the tomb was nearby. | 42 Then because of the Jews' Preparation Day (for the tomb was near at hand) they laid Jesus there. | 42 There therefore, on account of the preparation of the Jews, because the tomb was near, they laid Jesus. |
