 For their minds devise violence, And their lips talk of trouble.2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.2 because their minds plot violence, and their lips talk trouble.2 for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about mischief.2 for their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
 By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established;3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:3 With wisdom a house is built. With understanding it is established.3 Through wisdom a house is built; by understanding it is established;3 Through wisdom is a house built, and by understanding it is established;
 And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.4 With knowledge its rooms are filled with every kind of riches, both precious and pleasant.4 by knowledge the rooms are filled with all rare and beautiful treasure.4 and by knowledge are the chambers filled with all precious and pleasant substance.

NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 For by wise guidance you will wage war, And in abundance of counselors there is victory.6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety.6 After all, with the right strategy you can wage war, and with many advisers there is victory.6 for by wise guidance you wage your war; and victory is in many advisors.6 For with good advice shalt thou make thy war; and in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
 Wisdom is too exalted for a fool, He does not open his mouth in the gate.7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.7 Matters of wisdom are beyond the grasp of a stubborn fool. At the city gate he does not open his mouth.7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he doesn't open his mouth in the gate.7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he will not open his mouth in the gate.
 One who plans to do evil, Men will call a schemer.8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.8 Whoever plans to do evil will be known as a schemer.8 One who plots to do evil will be called a schemer.8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a master of intrigues.
 The devising of folly is sin, And the scoffer is an abomination to men.9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.9 Foolish scheming is sinful, and a mocker is disgusting to everyone.9 The schemes of folly are sin. The mocker is detested by men.9 The purpose of folly is sin, and the scorner is an abomination to men.
 If you are slack in the day of distress, Your strength is limited.10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.10 If you faint in a crisis, you are weak.10 If you falter in the time of trouble, your strength is small.10 If thou losest courage in the day of trouble, thy strength is small.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Deliver those who are being taken away to death, And those who are staggering to slaughter, Oh hold them back.11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;11 Rescue captives condemned to death, and spare those staggering toward their slaughter.11 Rescue those who are being led away to death! Indeed, hold back those who are staggering to the slaughter!11 Deliver them that are taken forth unto death, and withdraw not from them that stagger to slaughter.
 If you say, "See, we did not know this," Does He not consider it who weighs the hearts? And does He not know it who keeps your soul? And will He not render to man according to his work?12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?12 When you say, "We didn't know this," won't the one who weighs hearts take note of it? Won't the one who guards your soul know it? Won't he pay back people for what they do?12 If you say, "Behold, we didn't know this;" doesn't he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn't he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not, will not he that weigheth the hearts consider it? And he that preserveth thy soul, he knoweth it; and he rendereth to man according to his work.
 My son, eat honey, for it is good, Yes, the honey from the comb is sweet to your taste;13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:13 Eat honey, my son, because it is good. Honey that flows from the honeycomb tastes sweet.13 My son, eat honey, for it is good; the droppings of the honeycomb, which are sweet to your taste:13 Eat honey, my son, for it is good; and a honeycomb is sweet to thy taste:
 Know that wisdom is thus for your soul; If you find it, then there will be a future, And your hope will not be cut off.14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.14 The knowledge of wisdom is like that for your soul. If you find it, then there is a future, and your hope will never be cut off.14 so you shall know wisdom to be to your soul; if you have found it, then there will be a reward, your hope will not be cut off.14 so consider wisdom for thy soul; if thou hast found it, there shall be a result, and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
 Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; Do not destroy his resting place;15 Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:15 You wicked one, do not lie in ambush at the home of a righteous person. Do not rob his house.15 Don't lay in wait, wicked man, against the habitation of the righteous. Don't destroy his resting place:15 Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; lay not waste his resting-place.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity.16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.16 A righteous person may fall seven times, but he gets up again. However, in a disaster wicked people fall.16 for a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again; but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.16 For the righteous falleth seven times, and riseth up again; but the wicked stumble into disaster.
 Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles;17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:17 Do not be happy when your enemy falls, and do not feel glad when he stumbles.17 Don't rejoice when your enemy falls. Don't let your heart be glad when he is overthrown;17 Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thy heart be glad when he stumbleth;
 Or the LORD will see it and be displeased, And turn His anger away from him.18 Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.18 The LORD will see it, he won't like it, and he will turn his anger away from that person.18 lest Yahweh see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.18 lest Jehovah see it, and it be evil in his sight, and he turn away his anger from him.
 Do not fret because of evildoers Or be envious of the wicked;19 Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked:19 Do not get overly upset with evildoers. Do not envy wicked people,19 Don't fret yourself because of evildoers; neither be envious of the wicked:19 Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, and be not envious of the wicked:
 For there will be no future for the evil man; The lamp of the wicked will be put out.20 For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.20 because an evil person has no future, and the lamps of wicked people will be snuffed out.20 for there will be no reward to the evil man; and the lamp of the wicked shall be snuffed out.20 for there shall be no future to the evil man; the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 My son, fear the LORD and the king; Do not associate with those who are given to change,21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change:21 Fear the LORD, my son. Fear the king as well. Do not associate with those who always insist upon change,21 My son, fear Yahweh and the king. Don't join those who are rebellious:21 My son, fear Jehovah and the king: meddle not with them that are given to change.
 For their calamity will rise suddenly, And who knows the ruin that comes from both of them?22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?22 because disaster will come to them suddenly. Who knows what misery both may bring?22 for their calamity will rise suddenly; the destruction from them both--who knows?22 For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?
 These also are sayings of the wise. To show partiality in judgment is not good.23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.23 These also are the sayings of wise people: Showing partiality as a judge is not good.23 These also are sayings of the wise. To show partiality in judgment is not good.23 These things also come from the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
 He who says to the wicked, "You are righteous," Peoples will curse him, nations will abhor him;24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou are righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him:24 Whoever says to a guilty person, "You are innocent," will be cursed by people and condemned by nations.24 He who says to the wicked, "You are righteous;" peoples shall curse him, and nations shall abhor him--24 He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous, peoples shall curse him, nations shall abhor him;
 But to those who rebuke the wicked will be delight, And a good blessing will come upon them.25 But to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them.25 But people will be pleased with those who convict a guilty person, and a great blessing will come to them.25 but it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and a rich blessing will come on them.25 but to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing cometh upon them.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 He kisses the lips Who gives a right answer.26 Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.26 Giving a straight answer is [like] a kiss on the lips.26 An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.26 He kisseth the lips who giveth a right answer.
 Prepare your work outside And make it ready for yourself in the field; Afterwards, then, build your house.27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.27 Prepare your work outside, and get things ready for yourself in the field. Afterwards, build your house.27 Prepare your work outside, and get your fields ready. Afterwards, build your house.27 Prepare thy work without, and put thy field in order, and afterwards build thy house.
 Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause, And do not deceive with your lips.28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and deceive not with thy lips.28 Do not testify against your neighbor without a reason, and do not deceive with your lips.28 Don't be a witness against your neighbor without cause. Don't deceive with your lips.28 Be not a witness against thy neighbour without cause; and wouldest thou deceive with thy lips?
 Do not say, "Thus I shall do to him as he has done to me; I will render to the man according to his work."29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work.29 Do not say, "I'll treat him as he treated me. I'll pay him back for what he has done to me."29 Don't say, "I will do to him as he has done to me; I will render to the man according to his work."29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me, I will render to the man according to his work.
 I passed by the field of the sluggard And by the vineyard of the man lacking sense,30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;30 I passed by a lazy person's field, the vineyard belonging to a person without sense.30 I went by the field of the sluggard, by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;30 I went by the field of a sluggard, and by the vineyard of a man void of understanding;
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 And behold, it was completely overgrown with thistles; Its surface was covered with nettles, And its stone wall was broken down.31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.31 I saw that it was all overgrown with thistles. The ground was covered with weeds, and its stone fence was torn down.31 Behold, it was all grown over with thorns. Its surface was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down.31 and lo, it was all grown over with thistles, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and its stone wall was broken down.
 When I saw, I reflected upon it; I looked, and received instruction.32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.32 When I observed [this], I took it to heart. I saw it and learned my lesson.32 Then I saw, and considered well. I saw, and received instruction:32 Then I looked, I took it to heart; I saw, I received instruction:
 "A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest,"33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:33 "Just a little sleep, just a little slumber, just a little nap."33 a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep;33 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest!
 Then your poverty will come as a robber And your want like an armed man.34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.34 Then your poverty will come like a drifter, and your need will come like a bandit.34 so your poverty will come as a robber, and your want as an armed man.34 So shall thy poverty come as a roving plunderer, and thy penury as an armed man.
