Then God spoke all these words, saying,1 And God spake all these words, saying,1 Then God spoke all these words:1 God spoke all these words, saying,1 And God spoke all these words, saying,
"I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of slavery in Egypt.2 "I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.2 I am Jehovah thy God, who have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
"You shall have no other gods before Me.3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.3 "Never have any other god.3 "You shall have no other gods before me.3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
"You shall not make for yourself an idol, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.4 Never make your own carved idols or statues that represent any creature in the sky, on the earth, or in the water.4 "You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:4 Thou shalt not make thyself any graven image, or any form of what is in the heavens above, or what is in the earth beneath, or what is in the waters under the earth:
"You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me,5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;5 Never worship them or serve them, because I, the LORD your God, am a God who does not tolerate rivals. I punish children for their parents' sins to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.5 you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,5 thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I, Jehovah thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the sons to the third and to the fourth generation of them that hate me,
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
but showing lovingkindness to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.6 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.6 But I show mercy to thousands of generations of those who love me and obey my commandments.6 and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.6 and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.
"You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.7 "Never use the name of the LORD your God carelessly. The LORD will make sure that anyone who carelessly uses his name will be punished.7 "You shall not take the name of Yahweh your God in vain, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.7 Thou shalt not idly utter the name of Jehovah thy God; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that idly uttereth his name.
"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.8 "Remember the day of worship by observing it as a holy day.8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.8 Remember the sabbath day to hallow it.
 "Six days you shall labor and do all your work,9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:9 You have six days to do all your work.9 You shall labor six days, and do all your work,9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work;
but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; in it you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:10 The seventh day is the day of worship dedicated to the LORD your God. You, your sons, your daughters, your male and female slaves, your cattle, and the foreigners living in your city must never do any work [on that day].10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates;10 but the seventh day is the sabbath of Jehovah thy God: thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy bondman, nor thy handmaid, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.11 In six days the LORD made heaven, earth, and the sea, along with everything in them. He didn't work on the seventh day. That's why the LORD blessed the day he stopped his work and set this day apart as holy.11 for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.11 For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore Jehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land which the LORD your God gives you.12 Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live for a long time in the land the LORD your God is giving you.12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.12 Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be prolonged in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
"You shall not murder.13 Thou shalt not kill.13 "Never murder.13 "You shall not murder.13 Thou shalt not kill.
"You shall not commit adultery.14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.14 "Never commit adultery.14 "You shall not commit adultery.14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
"You shall not steal.15 Thou shalt not steal.15 "Never steal.15 "You shall not steal.15 Thou shalt not steal.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.16 "Never lie when you testify about your neighbor.16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his male servant or his female servant or his ox or his donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor."17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.17 "Never desire to take your neighbor's household away from him. "Never desire to take your neighbor's wife, his male or female slave, his ox, his donkey, or anything else that belongs to him."17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."17 Thou shalt not desire thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not desire thy neighbour's wife, nor his bondman, nor his handmaid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbour's.
All the people perceived the thunder and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled and stood at a distance.18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.18 All the people heard the thunder and saw the lightning. They heard the blast of the ram's horn and saw the mountain covered with smoke. So they shook with fear and stood at a distance.18 All the people perceived the thunderings, the lightnings, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When the people saw it, they trembled, and stayed at a distance.18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the flames, and the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled, and stood afar off,
Then they said to Moses, "Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, or we will die."19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.19 Then they said to Moses, "You speak to us, and we'll listen. But don't let God speak to us, or we'll die!"19 They said to Moses, "Speak with us yourself, and we will listen; but don't let God speak with us, lest we die."19 and said to Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin."20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.20 Moses answered the people, "Don't be afraid! God has come only to test you, so that you will be in awe of him and won't sin."20 Moses said to the people, "Don't be afraid, for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before you, that you won't sin."20 And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
So the people stood at a distance, while Moses approached the thick cloud where God was.21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.21 The people kept their distance while Moses went closer to the dark cloud where God was.21 The people stayed at a distance, and Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near to the obscurity where God was.
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'You yourselves have seen that I have spoken to you from heaven.22 And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.22 The LORD said to Moses, "This is what you must say to the Israelites: You've seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven.22 Yahweh said to Moses, "This is what you shall tell the children of Israel: 'You yourselves have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.22 And Jehovah said to Moses, Thus shalt thou say to the children of Israel: Ye have seen that I have spoken with you from the heavens.
You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.23 Never make any gods of silver or gold for yourselves. Never worship them.23 You shall most certainly not make alongside of me gods of silver, or gods of gold for yourselves.23 Ye shall not make beside me gods of silver, and ye shall not make to you gods of gold.
'You shall make an altar of earth for Me, and you shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen; in every place where I cause My name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you.24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.24 "You must build an altar for me made out of dirt. Sacrifice your burnt offerings and your fellowship offerings, your sheep, goats, and cattle on it. Wherever I choose to have my name remembered, I will come to you and bless you.24 You shall make an altar of earth for me, and shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I record my name I will come to you and I will bless you.24 An altar of earth shalt thou make unto me, and shalt sacrifice on it thy burnt-offerings, and thy peace-offerings, thy sheep and thine oxen: in all places where I shall make my name to be remembered, I will come unto thee, and bless thee.
'If you make an altar of stone for Me, you shall not build it of cut stones, for if you wield your tool on it, you will profane it.25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.25 If you build an altar for me made out of stones, never make it with cut stone blocks. If you use a chisel on it, you will make it unacceptable to me.25 If you make me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of cut stones; for if you lift up your tool on it, you have polluted it.25 And if thou make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone; for if thou lift up thy sharp tool upon it, thou hast profaned it.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
'And you shall not go up by steps to My altar, so that your nakedness will not be exposed on it.'26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.26 Never use stairs to go up to my altar. Otherwise, people will be able to see under your clothes."26 Neither shall you go up by steps to my altar, that your nakedness may not be exposed to it.'26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
