The Bronze Altar

1 "And you shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide; the altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits.1 And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.1 [The LORD continued,] "Make an altar out of acacia wood. It should be 71/2 feet square, and 41/2 feet high.1 "You shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and its height shall be three cubits.1 And thou shalt make the altar of acacia-wood, five cubits the length, and five cubits the breadth; the altar shall be square; and the height thereof three cubits.
2 "You shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlay it with bronze.2 And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.2 Make a horn at each of its four corners. The four horns and the altar must be made out of one piece [of wood] covered with bronze.2 You shall make its horns on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it; and you shall overlay it with brass.2 And thou shalt make its horns at the four corners thereof; its horns shall be of itself; and thou shalt overlay it with copper.
3 "You shall make its pails for removing its ashes, and its shovels and its basins and its forks and its firepans; you shall make all its utensils of bronze.3 And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basins, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass.3 "Make all the utensils for it out of bronze: pots for taking away the altar's ashes, also shovels, bowls, forks, and incense burners.3 You shall make its pots to take away its ashes, its shovels, its basins, its flesh hooks, and its fire pans: all its vessels you shall make of brass.3 And thou shalt make its pots to cleanse it of the fat, its shovels, and its bowls, and its forks, and its firepans; for all the utensils thereof thou shalt employ copper.
4 "You shall make for it a grating of network of bronze, and on the net you shall make four bronze rings at its four corners.4 And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brazen rings in the four corners thereof.4 "Make a grate for it out of bronze mesh, and make a bronze ring for [each of] the four corners of the grate.4 You shall make a grating for it of network of brass: and on the net you shall make four bronze rings in its four corners.4 And thou shalt make for it a grating of network of copper; and on the net shalt thou make four copper rings at its four corners;
5 "You shall put it beneath, under the ledge of the altar, so that the net will reach halfway up the altar.5 And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.5 Put the grate under the ledge of the altar so that it comes halfway up the altar.5 You shall put it under the ledge around the altar beneath, that the net may reach halfway up the altar.5 and thou shalt put it under the ledge of the altar beneath, and the net shall be to the very middle of the altar.

6 "You shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.6 And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.6 "Make poles out of acacia wood for the altar, and cover them with bronze.6 You shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with brass.6 And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of acacia-wood, and overlay them with copper.
7 "Its poles shall be inserted into the rings, so that the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.7 And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.7 The poles should be put through the rings on both sides of the altar to carry it.7 Its poles shall be put into the rings, and the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar, when carrying it.7 And its staves shall be put into the rings, that the staves may be on both sides of the altar, when it is carried.
8 "You shall make it hollow with planks; as it was shown to you in the mountain, so they shall make it.8 Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was showed thee in the mount, so shall they make it.8 "Make the altar out of boards so that it's hollow inside. It must be made just as you were shown on the mountain.8 You shall make it with hollow planks. They shall make it as it has been shown you on the mountain.8 Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it hath been shewn thee on the mountain, so shall they make it.
Court of the Tabernacle
9 "You shall make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side there shall be hangings for the court of fine twisted linen one hundred cubits long for one side;9 And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side:9 "Make a courtyard for the tent. The south side of the courtyard should be 150 feet long and have curtains made out of fine linen yarn,9 "You shall make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen one hundred cubits long for one side:9 And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side, southward, hangings for the court of twined byssus; a hundred cubits the length for the one side,
10 and its pillars shall be twenty, with their twenty sockets of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver.10 And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.10 [hung] on 20 posts [set in] 20 bronze bases. The hooks and bands on the posts should be made of silver.10 and its pillars shall be twenty, and their sockets twenty, of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.10 and the twenty pillars thereof, and their twenty bases of copper, the hooks of the pillars and their connecting-rods of silver.

11 "Likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings one hundred cubits long, and its twenty pillars with their twenty sockets of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver.11 And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.11 The north side should be the same: 150 feet long, with curtains on 20 posts set in 20 bronze bases. The hooks and bands on the posts should be made of silver.11 Likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings one hundred cubits long, and its pillars twenty, and their sockets twenty, of brass; the hooks of the pillars, and their fillets, of silver.11 And likewise on the north side in length, hangings a hundred cubits long, and its twenty pillars, and their twenty bases of copper; the hooks of the pillars and their connecting-rods of silver.
12 "For the width of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits with their ten pillars and their ten sockets.12 And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.12 "The courtyard on the west end should be 75 feet wide and have curtains [hung] on ten posts [set in] ten bases.12 For the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits; their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.12 And the breadth of the court on the west side, hangings of fifty cubits; their pillars ten, and their bases ten.
13 "The width of the court on the east side shall be fifty cubits.13 And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.13 On the east end, facing the rising sun, the courtyard should also be 75 feet wide.13 The breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.13 And the breadth of the court on the east side, eastward, fifty cubits;
14 "The hangings for the one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits with their three pillars and their three sockets.14 The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.14 Each side [of the entrance] will be 221/2 feet wide with curtains [hung on] three posts [set in] three bases.14 The hangings for the one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three.14 the hangings on the one wing, of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their bases three.
15 "And for the other side shall be hangings of fifteen cubits with their three pillars and their three sockets.15 And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.15 15 For the other side shall be hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their sockets three.15 And on the other wing hangings of fifteen cubits; their pillars three, and their bases three.

16 "For the gate of the court there shall be a screen of twenty cubits, of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen, the work of a weaver, with their four pillars and their four sockets.16 And for the gate of the court shall be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four.16 "The entrance to the courtyard must have a 30-foot screen made from fine linen yarn, embroidered with violet, purple, and bright red yarn, [hung] on four posts [set in] four bases.16 For the gate of the court shall be a screen of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, the work of the embroiderer; their pillars four, and their sockets four.16 And for the gate of the court a curtain of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined byssus, embroidered with needlework; their pillars four, and their bases four.
17 "All the pillars around the court shall be furnished with silver bands with their hooks of silver and their sockets of bronze.17 All the pillars round about the court shall be filleted with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of brass.17 All the posts around the courtyard should have silver bands, silver hooks, and bronze bases.17 All the pillars of the court around shall be filleted with silver; their hooks of silver, and their sockets of brass.17 All the pillars of the court round about shall be fastened together with rods of silver; their hooks of silver, and their bases of copper.
18 "The length of the court shall be one hundred cubits, and the width fifty throughout, and the height five cubits of fine twisted linen, and their sockets of bronze.18 The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.18 The courtyard should be 150 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 71/2 feet high, with [curtains] made of fine linen yarn and with bronze bases.18 The length of the court shall be one hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits, of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.18 The length of the court shall be a hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty everywhere, and the height five cubits of twined byssus; and their bases of copper.
19 "All the utensils of the tabernacle used in all its service, and all its pegs, and all the pegs of the court, shall be of bronze.19 All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass.19 "All the things for the tent, no matter how they're used, including all the pegs for the tent and the courtyard, must be made of bronze.19 All the instruments of the tabernacle in all its service, and all its pins, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass.19 All the utensils of the tabernacle for the service thereof and all the pegs thereof, and all the pegs of the court shall be of copper.
20 "You shall charge the sons of Israel, that they bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually.20 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.20 "For the lighting, you must command the Israelites to bring you pure, virgin olive oil so that the lamps won't go out.20 "You shall command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.20 And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee olive oil, pure, beaten, for the light, to light the lamp continually.

21 "In the tent of meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout their generations for the sons of Israel.21 In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.21 In the tent of meeting outside the canopy where the words of my promise are, Aaron and his descendants must keep the lamps lit in the LORD's presence from evening until morning. This is a permanent law among the Israelites for generations to come."21 In the Tent of Meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before Yahweh: it shall be a statute forever throughout their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.21 In the tent of meeting outside the veil, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall dress them from evening to morning before Jehovah: it is an everlasting statute, for their generations, on the part of the children of Israel.
