Jacob’s Deception
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Now it came about, when Isaac was old and his eyes were too dim to see, that he called his older son Esau and said to him, "My son." And he said to him, "Here I am."1 And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.1 When Isaac was old and going blind, he called his older son Esau and said to him, "Son!" Esau answered, "Here I am."1 It happened, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his elder son, and said to him, "My son?" He said to him, "Here I am."1 And it came to pass when Isaac had become old, and his eyes were dim so that he could not see, that he called Esau his elder son, and said to him, My son! And he said to him, Here am I.
 Isaac said, "Behold now, I am old and I do not know the day of my death.2 And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death:2 Isaac said, "I'm old. I don't know when I'm going to die.2 He said, "See now, I am old. I don't know the day of my death.2 And he said, Behold now, I am become old; I know not the day of my death.
 "Now then, please take your gear, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me;3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;3 Now take your hunting equipment, your quiver and bow, and go out into the open country and hunt some wild game for me.3 Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and your bow, and go out to the field, and take me venison.3 And now, I pray thee, take thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field and hunt me venison,
 and prepare a savory dish for me such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, so that my soul may bless you before I die."4 And make me savory meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die.4 Prepare a good-tasting meal for me, just the way I like it. Bring it to me to eat so that I will bless you before I die."4 Make me savory food, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat, and that my soul may bless you before I die."4 and prepare me a savoury dish such as I love, and bring it to me that I may eat, in order that my soul may bless thee before I die.
 Rebekah was listening while Isaac spoke to his son Esau. So when Esau went to the field to hunt for game to bring home,5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.5 Rebekah was listening while Isaac was speaking to his son Esau. When Esau went into the open country to hunt for some wild game to bring back,5 Rebekah heard when Isaac spoke to Esau his son. Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it.5 And Rebecca heard when Isaac spoke to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt venison, to bring it.

 Rebekah said to her son Jacob, "Behold, I heard your father speak to your brother Esau, saying,6 And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying,6 Rebekah said to her son Jacob, "I've just heard your father speaking to your brother Esau.6 Rebekah spoke to Jacob her son, saying, "Behold, I heard your father speak to Esau your brother, saying,6 And Rebecca spoke to Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak to Esau thy brother, saying,
 Bring me some game and prepare a savory dish for me, that I may eat, and bless you in the presence of the LORD before my death.'7 Bring me venison, and make me savory meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death.7 He said, 'Bring me some wild game, and prepare a good-tasting meal for me to eat so that I will bless you in the presence of the LORD before I die.'7 'Bring me venison, and make me savory food, that I may eat, and bless you before Yahweh before my death.'7 Bring me venison, and prepare me a savoury dish, that I may eat, and bless thee before Jehovah, before my death.
 "Now therefore, my son, listen to me as I command you.8 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee.8 Now listen to me, Son, and do what I tell you.8 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command you.8 And now, my son, hearken to my voice in that which I command thee.
 "Go now to the flock and bring me two choice young goats from there, that I may prepare them as a savory dish for your father, such as he loves.9 Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savory meat for thy father, such as he loveth:9 Go to the flock, and get me two good young goats. I'll prepare them as a good-tasting meal for your father, just the way he likes it.9 Go now to the flock, and get me from there two good young goats. I will make them savory food for your father, such as he loves.9 Go, I pray thee, to the flock, and fetch me thence two good kids of the goats. And I will make of them a savoury dish for thy father, such as he loves.
 "Then you shall bring it to your father, that he may eat, so that he may bless you before his death."10 And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.10 Then take it to your father to eat so that he will bless you before he dies."10 You shall bring it to your father, that he may eat, so that he may bless you before his death."10 And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, in order that he may bless thee before his death.

 Jacob answered his mother Rebekah, "Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man and I am a smooth man.11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man:11 Jacob said to his mother Rebekah, "My brother Esau is a hairy man, and my skin is smooth. 11 Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, "Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man.11 And Jacob said to Rebecca his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man.
 "Perhaps my father will feel me, then I will be as a deceiver in his sight, and I will bring upon myself a curse and not a blessing."12 My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing.12 My father will feel [my skin] and think I'm mocking him. Then I'll bring a curse on myself instead of a blessing."12 What if my father touches me? I will seem to him as a deceiver, and I would bring a curse on myself, and not a blessing."12 My father perhaps will feel me, and I shall be in his sight as one who mocks him, and I shall bring a curse on me, and not a blessing.
 But his mother said to him, "Your curse be on me, my son; only obey my voice, and go, get them for me."13 And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them.13 His mother responded, "Let any curse on you fall on me, Son. Just obey me and go! Get me [the young goats]."13 His mother said to him, "Let your curse be on me, my son. Only obey my voice, and go get them for me."13 And his mother said to him, On me be thy curse, my son! Only hearken to my voice, and go, fetch them.
 So he went and got them, and brought them to his mother; and his mother made savory food such as his father loved.14 And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savory meat, such as his father loved.14 He went and got them and brought them to his mother. She prepared a good-tasting meal, just the way his father liked it.14 He went, and got them, and brought them to his mother. His mother made savory food, such as his father loved.14 And he went, and fetched and brought them to his mother. And his mother prepared a savoury dish such as his father loved.
 Then Rebekah took the best garments of Esau her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son.15 And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son:15 Then Rebekah took her older son Esau's good clothes, which she had in the house, and put them on her younger son Jacob.15 Rebekah took the good clothes of Esau, her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob, her younger son.15 And Rebecca took the clothes of her elder son Esau, the costly ones which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son;

 And she put the skins of the young goats on his hands and on the smooth part of his neck.16 And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck:16 She put the skins from the young goats on his hands and on the back of his neck.16 She put the skins of the young goats on his hands, and on the smooth of his neck.16 and she put the skins of the kids of the goats on his hands, and on the smooth of his neck;
 She also gave the savory food and the bread, which she had made, to her son Jacob.17 And she gave the savory meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.17 Then she gave her son Jacob the good-tasting meal and the bread she had prepared.17 She gave the savory food and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.17 and she gave the savoury dishes and the bread that she had prepared into the hand of her son Jacob.
 Then he came to his father and said, "My father." And he said, "Here I am. Who are you, my son?"18 And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son?18 He went to his father and said, "Father?" "Yes?" he answered. "Who are you, Son?"18 He came to his father, and said, "My father?" He said, "Here I am. Who are you, my son?"18 And he came to his father, and said, My father! And he said, Here am I: who art thou, my son?
 Jacob said to his father, "I am Esau your firstborn; I have done as you told me. Get up, please, sit and eat of my game, that you may bless me."19 And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy first born; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.19 Jacob answered his father, "I'm Esau, your firstborn. I've done what you told me. Sit up and eat this meat I've hunted for you so that you may bless me."19 Jacob said to his father, "I am Esau your firstborn. I have done what you asked me to do. Please arise, sit and eat of my venison, that your soul may bless me."19 And Jacob said to his father, I am Esau, thy firstborn. I have done according as thou didst say to me. Arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, in order that thy soul may bless me.
 Isaac said to his son, "How is it that you have it so quickly, my son?" And he said, "Because the LORD your God caused it to happen to me."20 And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me.20 Isaac asked his son, "How did you find it so quickly, Son?" "The LORD your God brought it to me," he answered.20 Isaac said to his son, "How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?" He said, "Because Yahweh your God gave me success."20 And Isaac said to his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because Jehovah thy God put it in my way.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Then Isaac said to Jacob, "Please come close, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not."21 And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.21 Then Isaac said to Jacob, "Come over here so that I can feel your skin, Son, [to find out] whether or not you really are my son Esau."21 Isaac said to Jacob, "Please come near, that I may feel you, my son, whether you are really my son Esau or not."21 And Isaac said to Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be really my son Esau or not.
 So Jacob came close to Isaac his father, and he felt him and said, "The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau."22 And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.22 So Jacob went over to his father. Isaac felt [his skin]. "The voice is Jacob's," he said, "but the hands are Esau's."22 Jacob went near to Isaac his father. He felt him, and said, "The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau."22 And Jacob drew near to Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau.
 He did not recognize him, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau's hands; so he blessed him.23 And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him.23 He didn't recognize Jacob, because his hands were hairy like his brother Esau's hands. So he blessed him.23 He didn't recognize him, because his hands were hairy, like his brother, Esau's hands. So he blessed him.23 And he did not discern him, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands; and he blessed him.
 And he said, "Are you really my son Esau?" And he said, "I am."24 And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am.24 "Are you really my son Esau?" he asked him. "I am," Jacob answered.24 He said, "Are you really my son Esau?" He said, "I am."24 And he said, Art thou really my son Esau? And he said, It is I.
 So he said, "Bring it to me, and I will eat of my son's game, that I may bless you." And he brought it to him, and he ate; he also brought him wine and he drank.25 And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine and he drank.25 Isaac said, "Bring me some of the game, and I will eat it, Son, so that I will bless you." Jacob brought it to Isaac, and he ate it. Jacob also brought him wine, and he drank it.25 He said, "Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless you." He brought it near to him, and he ate. He brought him wine, and he drank.25 And he said, Bring it near to me, that I may eat of my son's venison, in order that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he ate; and he brought him wine, and he drank.

 Then his father Isaac said to him, "Please come close and kiss me, my son."26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son.26 Then his father Isaac said to him, "Come here and give me a kiss, Son."26 His father Isaac said to him, "Come near now, and kiss me, my son."26 And his father Isaac said to him, Come near, now, and kiss me, my son.
 So he came close and kissed him; and when he smelled the smell of his garments, he blessed him and said, "See, the smell of my son Is like the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed;27 And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:27 He went over and gave him a kiss. When Isaac smelled his clothes, he blessed him and said, "The smell of my son is like the smell of open country that the LORD has blessed.27 He came near, and kissed him. He smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him, and said, "Behold, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which Yahweh has blessed.27 And he came near, and kissed him. And he smelt the smell of his clothes, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which Jehovah hath blessed.
 Now may God give you of the dew of heaven, And of the fatness of the earth, And an abundance of grain and new wine;28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:28 May God give you dew from the sky, fertile fields on the earth, and plenty of fresh grain and new wine.28 God give you of the dew of the sky, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and new wine.28 And God give thee of the dew of heaven, And of the fatness of the earth, And plenty of corn and new wine.
 May peoples serve you, And nations bow down to you; Be master of your brothers, And may your mother's sons bow down to you. Cursed be those who curse you, And blessed be those who bless you."29 Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee.29 May nations serve you. May people bow down to you. Be the master of your brothers, and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. May those who curse you be cursed. May those who bless you be blessed."29 Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers. Let your mother's sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you. Blessed be everyone who blesses you."29 Let peoples serve thee, And races bow down to thee. Be lord over thy brethren, And let thy mother's sons bow down to thee. Cursed be they that curse thee, And blessed be they that bless thee.
The Stolen Blessing
 Now it came about, as soon as Isaac had finished blessing Jacob, and Jacob had hardly gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.30 And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.30 Isaac finished blessing Jacob. Jacob had barely left when his brother Esau came in from hunting.30 It happened, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob had just gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting.30 And it came to pass when Isaac had ended blessing Jacob, and when Jacob was only just gone out from Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came from his hunting.

 Then he also made savory food, and brought it to his father; and he said to his father, "Let my father arise and eat of his son's game, that you may bless me."31 And he also had made savory meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison, that thy soul may bless me.31 He, too, prepared a good-tasting meal and brought it to his father. Then he said to his father, "Please, Father, eat some of the meat I've hunted for you so that you will bless me."31 He also made savory food, and brought it to his father. He said to his father, "Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison, that your soul may bless me."31 And he also had prepared savoury dishes, and he brought them in to his father, and said to his father, Let my father arise and eat of his son's venison, in order that thy soul may bless me.
 Isaac his father said to him, "Who are you?" And he said, "I am your son, your firstborn, Esau."32 And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau.32 "Who are you?" his father Isaac asked him. "I'm your firstborn son Esau," he answered.32 Isaac his father said to him, "Who are you?" He said, "I am your son, your firstborn, Esau."32 And Isaac his father said to him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn, Esau.
 Then Isaac trembled violently, and said, "Who was he then that hunted game and brought it to me, so that I ate of all of it before you came, and blessed him? Yes, and he shall be blessed."33 And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed.33 Trembling violently all over, Isaac asked, "Who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate it before you came in. I blessed him, and he will stay blessed."33 Isaac trembled violently, and said, "Who, then, is he who has taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? Yes, he will be blessed."33 Then Isaac trembled with exceeding great trembling, and said, Who was he, then, that hunted venison and brought it to me? And I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him; also blessed he shall be.
 When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried out with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father, "Bless me, even me also, O my father!"34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.34 When Esau heard these words from his father, he shouted out a very loud and bitter cry and said to his father, "Bless me too, Father!"34 When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceeding great and bitter cry, and said to his father, "Bless me, even me also, my father."34 When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said to his father, Bless me me also, my father!
 And he said, "Your brother came deceitfully and has taken away your blessing."35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.35 Isaac said, "Your brother came and deceived me and has taken away your blessing."35 He said, "Your brother came with deceit, and has taken away your blessing."35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and has taken away thy blessing.

 Then he said, "Is he not rightly named Jacob, for he has supplanted me these two times? He took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing." And he said, "Have you not reserved a blessing for me?"36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?36 Esau said, "Isn't that why he's named Jacob? He's cheated me twice already: He took my rights as firstborn, and now he's taken my blessing." So he asked, "Haven't you saved a blessing for me?"36 He said, "Isn't he rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright. See, now he has taken away my blessing." He said, "Haven't you reserved a blessing for me?"36 And he said, Is it not therefore he was named Jacob, for he has supplanted me now twice? He took away my birthright, and behold, now he has taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?
 But Isaac replied to Esau, "Behold, I have made him your master, and all his relatives I have given to him as servants; and with grain and new wine I have sustained him. Now as for you then, what can I do, my son?"37 And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?37 Isaac answered Esau, "I have made him your master, and I have made all his brothers serve him. I've provided fresh grain and new wine for him. What is left for me to do for you, Son?"37 Isaac answered Esau, "Behold, I have made him your lord, and all his brothers have I given to him for servants. With grain and new wine have I sustained him. What then will I do for you, my son?"37 And Isaac answered and said to Esau, Behold, I have made him lord over thee, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants, and with corn and new wine have I supplied him and what can I do now for thee, my son?
 Esau said to his father, "Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, O my father." So Esau lifted his voice and wept.38 And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.38 Esau asked, "Do you have only one blessing, Father? Bless me too, Father!" And Esau sobbed loudly.38 Esau said to his father, "Have you but one blessing, my father? Bless me, even me also, my father." Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.38 And Esau said to his father, Hast thou then but one blessing, my father? bless me me also, my father! And Esau lifted up his voice and wept.
 Then Isaac his father answered and said to him, "Behold, away from the fertility of the earth shall be your dwelling, And away from the dew of heaven from above.39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;39 His father Isaac answered him, "The place where you live will lack the fertile fields of the earth and the dew from the sky above.39 Isaac his father answered him, "Behold, of the fatness of the earth will be your dwelling, and of the dew of the sky from above.39 And Isaac his father answered and said to him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be of the fatness of the earth, And of the dew of heaven from above;
 "By your sword you shall live, And your brother you shall serve; But it shall come about when you become restless, That you will break his yoke from your neck."40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.40 You will use your sword to live, and you will serve your brother. But eventually you will gain your freedom and break his yoke off your neck." 40 By your sword will you live, and you will serve your brother. It will happen, when you will break loose, that you shall shake his yoke from off your neck."40 And by thy sword shalt thou live; And thou shalt serve thy brother; And it shall come to pass when thou rovest about, That thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.

 So Esau bore a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him; and Esau said to himself, "The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob."41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.41 So Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing that his father had given him. Esau said to himself, "The time to mourn for my father is near. Then I'll kill my brother Jacob."41 Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him. Esau said in his heart, "The days of mourning for my father are at hand. Then I will kill my brother Jacob."41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father had blessed him. And Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand, and I will slay my brother Jacob.
 Now when the words of her elder son Esau were reported to Rebekah, she sent and called her younger son Jacob, and said to him, "Behold your brother Esau is consoling himself concerning you by planning to kill you.42 And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee.42 When Rebekah was told what her older son Esau had said, she sent for her younger son Jacob and said to him, "Watch out! Your brother Esau is comforting himself by planning to kill you. 42 The words of Esau, her elder son, were told to Rebekah. She sent and called Jacob, her younger son, and said to him, "Behold, your brother Esau comforts himself about you by planning to kill you.42 And the words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebecca. And she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said to him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, comforts himself that he will kill thee.
 "Now therefore, my son, obey my voice, and arise, flee to Haran, to my brother Laban!43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;43 So now, Son, obey me. Quick! Run away to my brother Laban in Haran.43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice. Arise, flee to Laban, my brother, in Haran.43 And now, my son, hearken to my voice, and arise, flee to Laban my brother, to Haran;
 "Stay with him a few days, until your brother's fury subsides,44 And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother's fury turn away;44 Stay with him awhile, until your brother's anger cools down.44 Stay with him a few days, until your brother's fury turns away;44 and abide with him some days, until thy brother's fury turn away --
 until your brother's anger against you subsides and he forgets what you did to him. Then I will send and get you from there. Why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?"45 Until thy brother's anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?45 When your brother's anger is gone and he has forgotten what you did to him, I'll send for you and get you back. Why should I lose both of you in one day?"45 until your brother's anger turn away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him. Then I will send, and get you from there. Why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?"45 until thy brother's anger turn away from thee, and he forget what thou hast done to him; then I will send and fetch thee thence. Why should I be bereaved even of you both in one day?

 Rebekah said to Isaac, "I am tired of living because of the daughters of Heth; if Jacob takes a wife from the daughters of Heth, like these, from the daughters of the land, what good will my life be to me?"46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?46 Rebekah said to Isaac, "I can't stand Hittite women! If Jacob marries a Hittite woman like one of those from around here, I might as well die."46 Rebekah said to Isaac, "I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob takes a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these, of the daughters of the land, what good will my life do me?"46 And Rebecca said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth. If Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these, of the daughters of the land, what good should my life do me?
