| 1 What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? | 1 From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? | 1 What causes fights and quarrels among you? Aren't they caused by the selfish desires that fight to control you? | 1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members? | 1 Whence come wars and whence fightings among you? Is it not thence, from your pleasures, which war in your members? | 2 You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. | 6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE." | 6 But he giveth more grace.
