Job Chides His Accusers
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Then Job responded,1 And Job answered and said,1 Then Job replied [to his friends],1 Then Job answered,1 And Job answered and said,
 "Truly then you are the people, And with you wisdom will die!2 No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.2 "You certainly are [wise] people, and when you die, wisdom will die.2 "No doubt, but you are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.2 Truly ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you!
 "But I have intelligence as well as you; I am not inferior to you. And who does not know such things as these?3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?3 Like you, I have a mind. I am not inferior to you. But who doesn't know these things?3 But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you. Yes, who doesn't know such things as these?3 I also have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you; and who knoweth not such things as these?
 "I am a joke to my friends, The one who called on God and He answered him; The just and blameless man is a joke.4 I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.4 I am a laughingstock to my neighbors. I am one who calls on God and expects an answer. A man of integrity, a man who is righteous, has become a laughingstock.4 I am like one who is a joke to his neighbor, I, who called on God, and he answered. The just, the blameless man is a joke.4 I am to be one that is a derision to his friend, I who call upon +God, and whom he will answer: a derision is the just upright man.
 "He who is at ease holds calamity in contempt, As prepared for those whose feet slip.5 He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.5 "A person who has an easy life has no appreciation for misfortune. He thinks it is the fate of those who slip up.5 In the thought of him who is at ease there is contempt for misfortune. It is ready for them whose foot slips.5 He that is ready to stumble with the foot is a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "The tents of the destroyers prosper, And those who provoke God are secure, Whom God brings into their power.6 The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.6 [But] robbers' tents are prosperous, and there is security for those who provoke God, for those whose god is their power. 6 The tents of robbers prosper. Those who provoke God are secure, who carry their God in their hands.6 The tents of desolators are in peace, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand +God bringeth.
 "But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you; And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:7 "Instead, ask the animals, and they will teach you. Ask the birds, and they will tell you.7 "But ask the animals, now, and they shall teach you; the birds of the sky, and they shall tell you.7 But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowl of the heavens, and they shall tell thee;
 "Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you; And let the fish of the sea declare to you.8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.8 Or speak with the earth, and it will teach you. Even the fish will relate [the story] to you.8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach you. The fish of the sea shall declare to you.8 Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee; and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
 "Who among all these does not know That the hand of the LORD has done this,9 Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?9 What creature doesn't know that the LORD's hands made it?9 Who doesn't know that in all these, the hand of Yahweh has done this,9 Who knoweth not in all these, that the hand of Jehovah hath wrought this?
 In whose hand is the life of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind?10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.10 The life of every living creature and the spirit in every human body are in his hands.10 in whose hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind?10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the spirit of all flesh of man.

 "Does not the ear test words, As the palate tastes its food?11 Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?11 Doesn't the ear distinguish sounds and the tongue taste food?11 Doesn't the ear try words, even as the palate tastes its food?11 Doth not the ear try words, as the palate tasteth food?
 "Wisdom is with aged men, With long life is understanding.12 With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.12 "Wisdom is with the ancient one. The one who has had many days has insight. 12 With aged men is wisdom, in length of days understanding.12 With the aged is wisdom, and in length of days understanding.
Job Speaks of the Power of God
 "With Him are wisdom and might; To Him belong counsel and understanding.13 With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.13 God has wisdom and strength. Advice and insight are his.13 "With God is wisdom and might. He has counsel and understanding.13 With him is wisdom and might; he hath counsel and understanding.
 "Behold, He tears down, and it cannot be rebuilt; He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.14 When he tears [something] down, it cannot be rebuilt. When he puts someone in prison, that person cannot be freed.14 Behold, he breaks down, and it can't be built again. He imprisons a man, and there can be no release.14 Behold, he breaketh down, and it is not built again; he shutteth up a man, and there is no opening.
 "Behold, He restrains the waters, and they dry up; And He sends them out, and they inundate the earth.15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.15 When he holds back the waters, there is a drought. When he releases them, they flood the earth.15 Behold, he withholds the waters, and they dry up. Again, he sends them out, and they overturn the earth.15 Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up; and he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "With Him are strength and sound wisdom, The misled and the misleader belong to Him.16 With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.16 "God has power and priceless wisdom. He owns [both] the deceiver and the person who is deceived.16 With him is strength and wisdom. The deceived and the deceiver are his.16 With him is strength and effectual knowledge; the deceived and the deceiver are his.
 "He makes counselors walk barefoot And makes fools of judges.17 He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.17 He leads counselors away barefoot and makes fools out of judges.17 He leads counselors away stripped. He makes judges fools.17 He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and judges maketh he fools;
 "He loosens the bond of kings And binds their loins with a girdle.18 He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.18 He loosens kings' belts and strips them of their pants.18 He loosens the bond of kings. He binds their waist with a belt.18 He weakeneth the government of kings, and bindeth their loins with a fetter;
 "He makes priests walk barefoot And overthrows the secure ones.19 He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.19 He leads priests away barefoot and misleads those who serve in a temple.19 He leads priests away stripped, and overthrows the mighty.19 He leadeth priests away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty;
 "He deprives the trusted ones of speech And takes away the discernment of the elders.20 He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.20 He makes trusted advisers unable to speak and takes away the good judgment of respected leaders.20 He removes the speech of those who are trusted, and takes away the understanding of the elders.20 He depriveth of speech the trusty, and taketh away the judgment of the elders;
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "He pours contempt on nobles And loosens the belt of the strong.21 He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.21 He pours contempt on influential people and unbuckles the belt of the mighty.21 He pours contempt on princes, and loosens the belt of the strong.21 He poureth contempt upon nobles, and slackeneth the girdle of the mighty;
 "He reveals mysteries from the darkness And brings the deep darkness into light.22 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.22 He uncovers mysteries [hidden] in the darkness and brings gloom into the light.22 He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and brings out to light the shadow of death.22 He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out into light the shadow of death;
 "He makes the nations great, then destroys them; He enlarges the nations, then leads them away.23 He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.23 He makes nations important and then destroys them. He makes nations large and leads them away.23 He increases the nations, and he destroys them. He enlarges the nations, and he leads them captive.23 He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them; he spreadeth out the nations, and bringeth them in;
 "He deprives of intelligence the chiefs of the earth's people And makes them wander in a pathless waste.24 He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.24 He takes away the common sense of a country's leaders and makes them stumble about in a pathless wilderness.24 He takes away understanding from the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causes them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.24 He taketh away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste.
 "They grope in darkness with no light, And He makes them stagger like a drunken man.25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.25 They grope in the dark with no light, and he makes them stumble like drunks.25 They grope in the dark without light. He makes them stagger like a drunken man.25 They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunkard.
