Job Speaks of the Finality of Death
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "Man, who is born of woman, Is short-lived and full of turmoil.1 Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.1 "A person who is born of a woman is short-lived and is full of trouble.1 "Man, who is born of a woman, is of few days, and full of trouble.1 Man, born of woman, is of few days, and full of trouble.
 "Like a flower he comes forth and withers. He also flees like a shadow and does not remain.2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.2 He comes up like a flower; then he withers. He is like a fleeting shadow; he doesn't stay long.2 He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down. He also flees like a shadow, and doesn't continue.2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down; and he fleeth as a shadow, and continueth not.
 "You also open Your eyes on him And bring him into judgment with Yourself.3 And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?3 You observe this and call me to account to you.3 Do you open your eyes on such a one, and bring me into judgment with you?3 Yet dost thou open thine eyes upon such a one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?
 "Who can make the clean out of the unclean? No one!4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.4 "If only an unclean person could become clean! It's not possible. 4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.4 Who can bring a clean man out of the unclean? Not one!
 "Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; And his limits You have set so that he cannot pass.5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;5 If the number of his days and the number of his months are determined by you, and you set his limit, then he cannot go past it.5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his bounds that he can't pass;5 If his days are determined, if the number of his months is with thee, and thou hast appointed his bounds which he must not pass,

 "Turn Your gaze from him that he may rest, Until he fulfills his day like a hired man.6 Turn from him, that he may rest, till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, his day.6 Look away from him, and he will cease to be. Meanwhile, he loves life as a laborer loves work. 6 Look away from him, that he may rest, until he shall accomplish, as a hireling, his day.6 Look away from him; and let him rest, till he accomplish, as a hireling, his day.
 "For there is hope for a tree, When it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And its shoots will not fail.7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.7 There is hope for a tree when it is cut down. It will sprout again. Its shoots will not stop sprouting.7 "For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, that the tender branch of it will not cease.7 For there is hope for a tree: if it be cut down, it will sprout again, and its tender branch will not cease;
 "Though its roots grow old in the ground And its stump dies in the dry soil,8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;8 If its roots grow old in the ground and its stump dies in the soil,8 Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stock dies in the ground,8 Though its root grow old in the earth, and its stock die in the ground,
 At the scent of water it will flourish And put forth sprigs like a plant.9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.9 merely a scent of water will make it sprout and grow branches like a plant.9 yet through the scent of water it will bud, and put forth boughs like a plant.9 Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and put forth boughs like a young plant.
 "But man dies and lies prostrate. Man expires, and where is he?10 But man dieth, and wasteth away: yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he?10 But a human dies and is powerless. A person breathes his last breath, and where is he?10 But man dies, and is laid low. Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?10 But a man dieth, and is prostrate; yea, man expireth, and where is he?

 "As water evaporates from the sea, And a river becomes parched and dried up,11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:11 [As] water drains out of a lake, or [as] a river dries up completely,11 As the waters fail from the sea, and the river wastes and dries up,11 The waters recede from the lake, and the river wasteth and drieth up:
 So man lies down and does not rise. Until the heavens are no longer, He will not awake nor be aroused out of his sleep.12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.12 so each person lies down and does not rise until the heavens cease to exist. He does not wake up. He is not awakened from his sleep.12 so man lies down and doesn't rise. Until the heavens are no more, they shall not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep.12 So man lieth down, and riseth not again; till the heavens be no more, they do not awake, nor are raised out of their sleep.
 "Oh that You would hide me in Sheol, That You would conceal me until Your wrath returns to You, That You would set a limit for me and remember me!13 O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!13 I wish you would hide me in Sheol and keep me hidden there until your anger cools. Set a specific time for me when you will remember me.13 "Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would keep me secret, until your wrath is past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me!13 Oh that thou wouldest hide me in Sheol, that thou wouldest keep me secret until thine anger be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me, --
 "If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my struggle I will wait Until my change comes.14 If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.14 "If a person dies, will he go on living? I will wait for my relief to come as long as my hard labor continues.14 If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my warfare would I wait, until my release should come.14 (If a man die, shall he live again?) all the days of my time of toil would I wait, till my change should come:
 "You will call, and I will answer You; You will long for the work of Your hands.15 Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands.15 You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the person your hands have made.15 You would call, and I would answer you. You would have a desire to the work of your hands.15 Thou wouldest call, and I would answer thee; thou wouldest have a desire after the work of thy hands.

 "For now You number my steps, You do not observe my sin.16 For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?16 Though now you count my steps, you will not keep [a record of] my sins.16 But now you number my steps. Don't you watch over my sin?16 For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin?
 "My transgression is sealed up in a bag, And You wrap up my iniquity.17 My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.17 My disobedience will be closed up in a bag, and you will cover over my sins.17 My disobedience is sealed up in a bag. You fasten up my iniquity.17 My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou heapest up mine iniquity.
 "But the falling mountain crumbles away, And the rock moves from its place;18 And surely the mountains falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place.18 As surely as a mountain falls and rocks are dislodged,18 "But the mountain falling comes to nothing. The rock is removed out of its place;18 And indeed a mountain falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of its place;
 Water wears away stones, Its torrents wash away the dust of the earth; So You destroy man's hope.19 The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.19 [so] water wears away stone, floods wash away soil from the land, and you destroy a mortal's hope.19 The waters wear the stones. The torrents of it wash away the dust of the earth. So you destroy the hope of man.19 The waters wear the stones, the floods thereof wash away the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man.
 "You forever overpower him and he departs; You change his appearance and send him away.20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away.20 You overpower him forever, and he passes away. You change his appearance and send him away.20 You forever prevail against him, and he departs. You change his face, and send him away.20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth away; thou changest his countenance, and dismissest him.

 "His sons achieve honor, but he does not know it; Or they become insignificant, but he does not perceive it.21 His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.21 His sons are honored, and he doesn't know it. Or they become unimportant, and he doesn't realize it.21 His sons come to honor, and he doesn't know it. They are brought low, but he doesn't perceive it of them.21 His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, and he perceiveth it not.
 "But his body pains him, And he mourns only for himself."22 But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn.22 He feels only his body's pain. He is only worried about himself." You Are Speaking Sinfully, Job22 But his flesh on him has pain, and his soul within him mourns."22 But his flesh hath pain for himself alone, and his soul mourneth for himself.
