Elihu in Anger Rebukes Job
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 Then these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.1 These three men stopped answering Job because Job thought he was righteous.1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.1 And these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
 But the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram burned; against Job his anger burned because he justified himself before God.2 Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.2 Then Elihu, son of Barachel, a descendant of Buz from the family of Ram, became very angry with Job because Job thought he was more righteous than God.2 Then the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job. His wrath was kindled because he justified himself rather than God.2 Then was kindled the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram: against Job was his anger kindled, because he justified himself rather than God;
 And his anger burned against his three friends because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.3 Elihu was also very angry with Job's three friends because they had found no answer. They made it look as if God were wrong. 3 Also his wrath was kindled against his three friends, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.3 and against his three friends was his anger kindled, because they found no answer, and yet condemned Job.
 Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were years older than he.4 Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.4 Elihu waited as they spoke to Job because they were older than he was.4 Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job, because they were elder than he.4 But Elihu had waited till Job had finished speaking, because they were older than he.
 And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men his anger burned.5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.5 When Elihu saw that the three men had no further responses, he became very angry. The Reason for Elihu's Discourse5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.5 And Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger was kindled.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 So Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke out and said, "I am young in years and you are old; Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think.6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.6 So Elihu, son of Barachel, the descendant of Buz, replied [to Job], "I am young, and you are old. That's why I refrained from speaking and was afraid to tell you what I know.6 Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered, "I am young, and you are very old; Therefore I held back, and didn't dare show you my opinion.6 And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are aged; wherefore I was timid, and feared to shew you what I know.
 "I thought age should speak, And increased years should teach wisdom.7 I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.7 I thought, 'Age should speak, and experience should teach wisdom.'7 I said, 'Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.'7 I said, Let days speak, and multitude of years teach wisdom.
 "But it is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.8 But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.8 However, there is in humans a Spirit, the breath of the Almighty, that gives them understanding.8 But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.8 But there is a spirit which is in man; and the breath of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
 "The abundant in years may not be wise, Nor may elders understand justice.9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.9 People do not become wise merely because they live long. They don't understand what justice is merely because they're old.9 It is not the great who are wise, nor the aged who understand justice.9 It is not the great that are wise; neither do the aged understand judgment.
 "So I say, 'Listen to me, I too will tell what I think.'10 Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.10 "That is why I say, 'Listen to me! Let me tell you what I know.'10 Therefore I said, 'Listen to me; I also will show my opinion.'10 Therefore I say, Hearken to me; I also will shew what I know.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "Behold, I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, While you pondered what to say.11 Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.11 I waited for you to speak. I listened for you to share your understanding until you could find the right words.11 "Behold, I waited for your words, and I listened for your reasoning, while you searched out what to say.11 Lo, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasonings, until ye searched out what to say.
 "I even paid close attention to you; Indeed, there was no one who refuted Job, Not one of you who answered his words.12 Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:12 I've paid close attention to you, but none of you refuted Job. None of you has an answer to what he says.12 Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.12 Yea, I gave you mine attention, and behold, there was none of you that confuted Job, that answered his words;
 "Do not say, 'We have found wisdom; God will rout him, not man.'13 Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.13 So don't say, 'We've found wisdom. Let God, not humans, defeat him.'13 Beware lest you say, 'We have found wisdom, God may refute him, not man;'13 That ye may not say, We have found out wisdom; God will make him yield, not man.
 "For he has not arranged his words against me, Nor will I reply to him with your arguments.14 Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.14 Job did not choose his words to refute me, so I won't answer him with your speeches.14 for he has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.14 Now he hath not directed his words against me; and I will not answer him with your speeches. ...
 "They are dismayed, they no longer answer; Words have failed them.15 They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.15 "Job's friends have been overwhelmed and don't have any more answers. They don't have another word to say.15 "They are amazed. They answer no more. They don't have a word to say.15 They were amazed, they answered no more; words failed them.

 "Shall I wait, because they do not speak, Because they stop and no longer answer?16 When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)16 Should I wait because they don't speak, because they stand there and don't have any more answers?16 Shall I wait, because they don't speak, because they stand still, and answer no more?16 And I waited, for they spoke not, but stood still, and answered no more; --
 "I too will answer my share, I also will tell my opinion.17 I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.17 "I'll give my answer. I'll tell you what I know.17 I also will answer my part, and I also will show my opinion.17 I will answer, I also in my turn, I also will shew what I know:
 "For I am full of words; The spirit within me constrains me.18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.18 I'm full of words. The Spirit within me forces me [to speak].18 For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me.18 For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.
 "Behold, my belly is like unvented wine, Like new wineskins it is about to burst.19 Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.19 My belly is like [a bottle of] wine that has not been opened, like new wineskins that are ready to burst.19 Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent; like new wineskins it is ready to burst.19 Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; like new flasks, it is ready to burst.
 "Let me speak that I may get relief; Let me open my lips and answer.20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.20 I must speak to get relief. I must open my mouth and answer.20 I will speak, that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.20 I will speak, that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 "Let me now be partial to no one, Nor flatter any man.21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.21 I won't be partial toward anyone or flatter anyone.21 Please don't let me respect any man's person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.21 Let me not, I pray you, accept any man's person; neither will I give flattery to man.
 "For I do not know how to flatter, Else my Maker would soon take me away.22 For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.22 I don't know how to flatter. If I did, my maker would soon carry me away.22 For I don't know how to give flattering titles; or else my Maker would soon take me away.22 For I know not how to flatter; my Maker would soon take me away.
