Folly and Wickedness of Men.For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
1 For the choir director. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, they have committed abominable deeds; There is no one who does good.1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.1  [For the choir director; by David.] Godless fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do disgusting things. There is no one who does good things.1 The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is none who does good.1 {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They have corrupted themselves, they have done abominable works: there is none that doeth good.
2 The LORD has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men To see if there are any who understand, Who seek after God.2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.2 The LORD looks down from heaven on Adam's descendants to see if there is anyone who acts wisely, if there is anyone who seeks help from God.2 Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who did understand, who did seek after God.2 Jehovah looked down from the heavens upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.
3 They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt; There is no one who does good, not even one.3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.3 Everyone has turned away. Together they have become rotten to the core. No one, not even one person, does good things.3 They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is none who does good, no, not one.3 They have all gone aside, they are together become corrupt: there is none that doeth good, not even one.
4 Do all the workers of wickedness not know, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon the Lord?4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.4 Are all those troublemakers, those who devour my people as if they were devouring food, so ignorant that they do not call on the LORD?4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don't call on Yahweh?4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, eating up my people as they eat bread? They call not upon Jehovah.
5 There they are in great dread, For God is with the righteous generation.5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.5 There they are-panic-stricken because God is with the person who is righteous.5 There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.5 There were they in great fear; for God is in the generation of the righteous.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
6 You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted, But the LORD is his refuge.6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.6 They put the advice of oppressed people to shame because the LORD is their refuge.6 You frustrate the plan of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge.6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the afflicted, because Jehovah was his refuge.
7 Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores His captive people, Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad.7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.7 If only salvation for Israel would come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, Jacob will rejoice. Israel will be glad.7 Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. A Psalm by David.7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Jehovah turneth again the captivity of his people, Jacob shall be glad, Israel shall rejoice.
