Prayer for Protection against Oppressors.A Prayer of David.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
 A Prayer of David. Hear a just cause, O LORD, give heed to my cry; Give ear to my prayer, which is not from deceitful lips.1 Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips.1 [A prayer by David.] Hear my plea for justice, O LORD. Pay attention to my cry. Open your ears to my prayer, [which comes] from lips free from deceit.1 Hear, Yahweh, my righteous plea; Give ear to my prayer, that doesn't go out of deceitful lips.1 {A Prayer of David.} Hear the right, O Jehovah, attend unto my cry; give ear unto my prayer, which is not out of feigned lips.
 Let my judgment come forth from Your presence; Let Your eyes look with equity.2 Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.2 Let the verdict of my innocence come directly from you. Let your eyes observe what is fair.2 Let my sentence come forth from your presence. Let your eyes look on equity.2 Let my judgment come forth from thy presence, let thine eyes regard equity.
 You have tried my heart; You have visited me by night; You have tested me and You find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress.3 Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.3 You have probed my heart. You have confronted me at night. You have tested me like silver, but you found nothing wrong. I have determined that my mouth will not sin.3 You have proved my heart. You have visited me in the night. You have tried me, and found nothing. I have resolved that my mouth shall not disobey.3 Thou hast proved my heart, thou hast visited me by night; thou hast tried me, thou hast found nothing: my thought goeth not beyond my word.
 As for the deeds of men, by the word of Your lips I have kept from the paths of the violent.4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.4 I have avoided cruelty because of your word. In spite of what others have done,4 As for the works of men, by the word of your lips, I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept from the paths of the violent man.
 My steps have held fast to Your paths. My feet have not slipped.5 Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.5 my steps have remained firmly in your paths. My feet have not slipped.5 My steps have held fast to your paths. My feet have not slipped.5 When thou holdest my goings in thy paths, my footsteps slip not.

 Wondrously show Your lovingkindness, O Savior of those who take refuge at Your right hand From those who rise up against them.7 Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.7 Reveal your miraculous deeds of mercy, O Savior of those who find refuge by your side from those who attack them.7 Show your marvelous loving kindness, you who save those who take refuge by your right hand from their enemies.7 Shew wondrously thy loving-kindnesses, O thou that savest by thy right hand them that trust in thee from those that rise up against them.
 Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,8 Guard me as if I were the pupil in your eye. Hide me in the shadow of your wings.8 Keep me as the apple of your eye. Hide me under the shadow of your wings,8 Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings,
 From the wicked who despoil me, My deadly enemies who surround me.9 From the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about.9 Hide me from wicked people who violently attack me, from my deadly enemies who surround me.9 from the wicked who oppress me, my deadly enemies, who surround me.9 From the wicked that destroy me, my deadly enemies, who compass me about.
 They have closed their unfeeling heart, With their mouth they speak proudly.10 They are inclosed in their own fat: with their mouth they speak proudly.10 They have shut out all feeling. Their mouths have spoken arrogantly. 10 They close up their callous hearts. With their mouth they speak proudly.10 They are enclosed in their own fat; with their mouth they speak proudly.

 They have now surrounded us in our steps; They set their eyes to cast us down to the ground.11 They have now compassed us in our steps: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth;11 They have tracked me down. They have surrounded me. They have focused their attention on throwing me to the ground.11 They have now surrounded us in our steps. They set their eyes to cast us down to the earth.11 They have now encompassed us in our steps; their eyes have they set, bowing down to the earth.
 He is like a lion that is eager to tear, And as a young lion lurking in hiding places.12 Like as a lion that is greedy of his prey, and as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.12 Each one of them is like a lion eager to tear [its prey] apart and like a young lion crouching in hiding places.12 He is like a lion that is greedy of his prey, as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.12 He is like a lion that is greedy of its prey, and as a young lion lurking in secret places.
 Arise, O LORD, confront him, bring him low; Deliver my soul from the wicked with Your sword,13 Arise, O LORD, disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, which is thy sword:13 Arise, O LORD; confront them! Bring them to their knees! With your sword rescue my life from wicked people.13 Arise, Yahweh, confront him. Cast him down. Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword;13 Arise, Jehovah, anticipate him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, thy sword;
 From men with Your hand, O LORD, From men of the world, whose portion is in this life, And whose belly You fill with Your treasure; They are satisfied with children, And leave their abundance to their babes.14 From men which are thy hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.14 With your power rescue me from mortals, O LORD, from mortals who enjoy their inheritance only in this life. You fill their bellies with your treasure. Their children are satisfied [with it], and they leave what remains to their children.14 from men by your hand, Yahweh, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.14 From men who are thy hand, O Jehovah, from men of this age: their portion is in this life, and their belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure; they have their fill of sons, and leave the rest of their substance to their children.
 As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; I will be satisfied with Your likeness when I awake.15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.15 I will see your face when I am declared innocent. When I wake up, I will be satisfied [with seeing] you.15 As for me, I shall see your face in righteousness. I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with seeing your form. For the Chief Musician. By David the servant of Yahweh, who spoke to Yahweh the words of this song in the day that Yahweh delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said,15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
