A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said, "I love You, O LORD, my strength."1 I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.1  [For the choir director; by David, the servant of the LORD. He sang this song to the LORD when the LORD rescued him from all his enemies, especially from Saul. He said,] I love you, O LORD, my strength. 1 I love you, Yahweh, my strength.1 {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David, the servant of Jehovah, who spoke to Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies and out of the hand of Saul. And he said,} I will love thee, O Jehovah, my strength.
2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my Savior, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the strength of my salvation, my stronghold.2 Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.2 Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my �God, my rock, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
3 I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.3 I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.3 The LORD should be praised. I called on him, and I was saved from my enemies.3 I call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised; and I am saved from my enemies.3 I will call upon Jehovah, who is to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4 The cords of death encompassed me, And the torrents of ungodliness terrified me.4 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.4 The ropes of death had become tangled around me. The torrents of destruction had overwhelmed me.4 The cords of death surrounded me. The floods of ungodliness made me afraid.4 The bands of death encompassed me, and torrents of Belial made me afraid.
5 The cords of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me.5 The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.5 The ropes of the grave had surrounded me. The clutches of death had confronted me.5 The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me.5 The bands of Sheol surrounded me, the cords of death encountered me.

6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears.6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.6 I called on the LORD in my distress. 15 Then the channels of water appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid bare At Your rebuke, O LORD, At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.15 Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.15 Then the ocean floor could be seen. The foundations of the earth were laid bare at your stern warning, O LORD, at the blast of the breath from your nostrils.15 Then the channels of waters appeared. 18 They confronted me in the day of my calamity, But the LORD was my stay.18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.18 On the day when I faced disaster, they confronted me, but the LORD came to my defense.18 They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Yahweh was my support.18 They encountered me in the day of my calamity, but Jehovah was my stay.

20 The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.20 The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.20 The LORD rewarded me because of my righteousness, because my hands are clean. 21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, And have not wickedly departed from my God.21 For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.21 because I have kept the ways of the LORD and I have not wickedly turned away from my God,21 For I have kept the ways of Yahweh, and have not wickedly departed from my God.21 For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
22 For all His ordinances were before me, And I did not put away His statutes from me.22 For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.22 because all his judgments are in front of me and I have not turned away from his laws.22 For all his ordinances were before me. 23 I was also blameless with Him, And I kept myself from my iniquity.23 I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.23 I was innocent as far as he was concerned. 24 Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands in His eyes.24 Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.24 The LORD paid me back because of my righteousness, because he can see that my hands are clean.24 Therefore Yahweh has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.24 And Jehovah hath recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.
25 With the kind You show Yourself kind; With the blameless You show Yourself blameless;25 With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;25 [In dealing] with faithful people you are faithful, with innocent people you are innocent,25 With the merciful you will show yourself merciful. With the perfect man, you will show yourself perfect.25 With the gracious thou dost shew thyself gracious; with the upright man thou dost shew thyself upright;

26 With the pure You show Yourself pure, And with the crooked You show Yourself astute.26 With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.26 with pure people you are pure. [In dealing] with devious people you are clever.26 With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.26 With the pure thou dost shew thyself pure; and with the perverse thou dost shew thyself contrary.
27 For You save an afflicted people, But haughty eyes You abase.27 For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.27 You save humble people, but you bring down a conceited look.27 For you will save the afflicted people, but the haughty eyes you will bring down.27 For it is thou that savest the afflicted people; but the haughty eyes wilt thou bring down.
28 For You light my lamp; The LORD my God illumines my darkness.28 For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.28 O LORD, you light my lamp. My God turns my darkness into light.28 For you will light my lamp, Yahweh. My God will light up my darkness.28 For it is thou that makest my lamp to shine: Jehovah my God enlighteneth my darkness.
29 For by You I can run upon a troop; And by my God I can leap over a wall.29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.29 With you I can attack a line of soldiers. With my God I can break through barricades.29 For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
30 As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.30 God's way is perfect! The promise of the LORD has proven to be true. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.30 As for God, his way is perfect. The word of Yahweh is tried. 31 For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God,31 For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?31 Who is God but the LORD? You made me the leader of nations. A people I did not know will serve me:43 You have delivered me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. 44 As soon as they hear, they obey me; Foreigners submit to me.44 As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.44 As soon as they hear of me, they will obey me. Foreigners will cringe in front of me.44 As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me. The foreigners shall submit themselves to me.44 At the hearing of the ear, they obey me: strangers come cringing unto me.
45 Foreigners fade away, And come trembling out of their fortresses.45 The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.45 Foreigners will lose heart, and they will tremble when they come out of their fortifications.45 The foreigners shall fade away, and shall come trembling out of their close places.45 Strangers have faded away, and they come trembling forth from their close places.

46 The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation,46 The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.46 The LORD lives! 50 He gives great deliverance to His king, And shows lovingkindness to His anointed, To David and his descendants forever.50 Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.50 He gives great victories to his king. He shows mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his descendant forever.50 He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his seed, forevermore. For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.50 It is he who giveth great deliverances to his king, and sheweth loving-kindness to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
