NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
For the choir director. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; According to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions.1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.1 [For the choir director; a psalm by David when the prophet Nathan came to him after David's adultery with Bathsheba.] Have pity on me, O God, in keeping with your mercy. In keeping with your unlimited compassion, wipe out my rebellious acts.1 Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.1 {To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bath-sheba.} Be gracious unto me, O God, according to thy loving-kindness; according to the abundance of thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity And cleanse me from my sin.2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.2 Wash me thoroughly from my guilt, and cleanse me from my sin.2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin.2 Wash me fully from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me.3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.3 I admit that I am rebellious. My sin is always in front of me.3 For I know my transgressions. My sin is constantly before me.3 For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is continually before me.
Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge.4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.4 I have sinned against you, especially you. I have done what you consider evil. So you hand down justice when you speak, and you are blameless when you judge.4 Against you, and you only, have I sinned, and done that which is evil in your sight; that you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge.4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done what is evil in thy sight; that thou mayest be justified when thou speakest, be clear when thou judgest.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.5 Indeed, I was born guilty. I was a sinner when my mother conceived me.5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. In sin my mother conceived me.5 Behold, in iniquity was I brought forth, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part You will make me know wisdom.6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.6 Yet, you desire truth and sincerity. Deep down inside me you teach me wisdom. 6 Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.6 Behold, thou wilt have truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden part thou wilt make me to know wisdom.
Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.7 Purify me from sin with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. 7 Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which You have broken rejoice.8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.8 Let me hear [sounds of] joy and gladness. Let the bones that you have broken dance.8 Let me hear joy and gladness, That the bones which you have broken may rejoice.8 Make me to hear gladness and joy; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities.9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.9 Hide your face from my sins, and wipe out all that I have done wrong.9 Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all of my iniquities.9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.10 Create a clean heart in me, O God, and renew a faithful spirit within me.10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.11 Do not force me away from your presence, and do not take your Holy Spirit from me.11 Don't throw me from your presence, and don't take your holy Spirit from me.11 Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not the spirit of thy holiness from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.12 Restore the joy of your salvation to me, and provide me with a spirit of willing obedience.12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit.12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and let a willing spirit sustain me.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You.13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.13 [Then] I will teach your ways to those who are rebellious, and sinners will return to you.13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners shall be converted to you.13 I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall return unto thee.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation; Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.14 Rescue me from the guilt of murder, O God, my savior. Let my tongue sing joyfully about your righteousness!14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation. My tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.14 Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
O Lord, open my lips, That my mouth may declare Your praise.15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will tell about your praise.15 Lord, open my lips. My mouth shall declare your praise.15 Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare thy praise.

For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; You are not pleased with burnt offering.16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.16 You are not happy with any sacrifice. Otherwise, I would offer one [to you]. You are not pleased with burnt offerings.16 For you don't delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering.16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.17 The sacrifice pleasing to God is a broken spirit. O God, you do not despise a broken and sorrowful heart.17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
By Your favor do good to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem.18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.18 Favor Zion with your goodness. Rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.18 Do well in your good pleasure to Zion. Build the walls of Jerusalem.18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion; build the walls of Jerusalem.
Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, In burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then young bulls will be offered on Your altar.19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.19 Then you will be pleased with sacrifices offered in the right spirit- with burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings. Young bulls will be offered on your altar.19 Then you will delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings. Then they will offer bulls on your altar. For the Chief Musician. A contemplation by David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, "David has come to Abimelech's house."19 Then shalt thou have sacrifices of righteousness, burnt-offering, and whole burnt-offering; then shall they offer up bullocks upon thine altar.
