NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
For the choir director; set to Al-tashheth. A Mikhtam of David, when Saul sent men and they watched the house in order to kill him. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; Set me securely on high away from those who rise up against me.1 Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.1 [For the choir director; [al tashcheth]; a [miktam] by David when Saul sent men to watch David's home and kill him.] Rescue me from my enemies, O my God. Protect me from those who attack me.1 Deliver me from my enemies, my God. Set me on high from those who rise up against me.1 {To the chief Musician. 'Destroy not.' Of David. Michtam; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.} Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God; secure me on high from them that rise up against me.
Deliver me from those who do iniquity And save me from men of bloodshed.2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.2 Rescue me from troublemakers. Save me from bloodthirsty people.2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity. Save me from the bloodthirsty men.2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from men of blood.
For behold, they have set an ambush for my life; Fierce men launch an attack against me, Not for my transgression nor for my sin, O LORD,3 For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.3 They lie in ambush for me right here! Fierce men attack me, O LORD, but not because of any disobedience,3 For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul. The mighty gather themselves together against me, not for my disobedience, nor for my sin, Yahweh.3 For behold, they lie in wait for my soul; strong ones are gathered against me: not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah.
For no guilt of mine, they run and set themselves against me. Arouse Yourself to help me, and see!4 They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.4 or any sin, or any guilt on my part. They hurry to take positions against me. Wake up, and help me; see [for yourself].4 I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Rise up, behold, and help me!4 They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to meet me, and behold.
You, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, Awake to punish all the nations; Do not be gracious to any who are treacherous in iniquity. Selah.5 Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.5 O LORD God of Armies, God of Israel, arise to punish all the nations. Have no pity on any traitors. [Selah]5 You, Yahweh God of Armies, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish the nations. Show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah.5 Yea, do thou, Jehovah, the God of hosts, the God of Israel, arise to visit all the nations: be not gracious to any plotters of iniquity. Selah.

They return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go around the city.6 They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.6 They return in the evening. They howl like dogs. They prowl the city.6 They return at evening, howling like dogs, and prowl around the city.6 They return in the evening; they howl like a dog, and go round about the city:
Behold, they belch forth with their mouth; Swords are in their lips, For, they say, "Who hears?"7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?7 See what pours out of their mouths- swords from their lips! [They think,] "Who will hear us?"7 Behold, they spew with their mouth. Swords are in their lips, "For," they say, "who hears us?"7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth; swords are in their lips: for who say they doth hear?
But You, O LORD, laugh at them; You scoff at all the nations.8 But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.8 O LORD, you laugh at them. You make fun of all the nations.8 But you, Yahweh, laugh at them. You scoff at all the nations.8 But thou, Jehovah, wilt laugh at them; thou wilt have all the nations in derision.
Because of his strength I will watch for You, For God is my stronghold.9 Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.9 O my strength, I watch for you! God is my stronghold, my merciful God!9 Oh, my Strength, I watch for you, for God is my high tower.9 Their strength! ... I will take heed to thee; for God is my high fortress.
My God in His lovingkindness will meet me; God will let me look triumphantly upon my foes.10 The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.10 God will come to meet me. He will let me gloat over those who spy on me.10 My God will go before me with his loving kindness. God will let me look at my enemies in triumph.10 God, whose loving-kindness will come to meet me, God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

Do not slay them, or my people will forget; Scatter them by Your power, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.11 Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.11 Do not kill them. Otherwise, my people may forget. Make them wander aimlessly by your power. Bring them down, O Lord, our shield,11 Don't kill them, or my people may forget. Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, Lord our shield.11 Slay them not, lest my people forget; by thy power make them wander, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield.
On account of the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be caught in their pride, And on account of curses and lies which they utter.12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.12 [because of] the sins from their mouths and the words on their lips. Let them be trapped by their own arrogance because they speak curses and lies.12 For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride, for the curses and lies which they utter.12 Because of the sin of their mouth, the word of their lips, let them even be taken in their pride; and because of cursing and lying which they speak.
Destroy them in wrath, destroy them that they may be no more; That men may know that God rules in Jacob To the ends of the earth. Selah.13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.13 Destroy them in your rage. Destroy them until not one of them is left. Then they will know that God rules Jacob to the ends of the earth. [Selah]13 Consume them in wrath. Consume them, and they will be no more. Let them know that God rules in Jacob, to the ends of the earth. Selah.13 Make an end in wrath, make an end, that they may be no more; that they may know that God ruleth in Jacob, unto the ends of the earth. Selah.
They return at evening, they howl like a dog, And go around the city.14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.14 They return in the evening. They howl like dogs. They prowl the city.14 At evening let them return. Let them howl like a dog, and go around the city.14 And in the evening they shall return, they shall howl like a dog, and go round about the city.
They wander about for food And growl if they are not satisfied.15 Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.15 They wander around to find something to eat. If they are not full enough, they will stay all night.15 They shall wander up and down for food, and wait all night if they aren't satisfied.15 They shall wander about for meat, and stay all night if they be not satisfied.

But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress.16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.16 But I will sing about your strength. In the morning I will joyfully sing about your mercy. You have been my stronghold and a place of safety in times of trouble.16 But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.16 But as for me, I will sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of thy loving-kindness in the morning; for thou hast been to me a high fortress, and a refuge in the day of my trouble.
O my strength, I will sing praises to You; For God is my stronghold, the God who shows me lovingkindness.17 Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.17 O my strength, I will make music to praise you! God is my stronghold, my merciful God!17 To you, my strength, I will sing praises. For God is my high tower, the God of my mercy. For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "The Lily of the Covenant." A teaching poem by David, when he fought with Aram Naharaim and with Aram Zobah, and Joab returned, and killed twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt.17 Unto thee, my strength, will I sing psalms; for God is my high fortress, the God of my mercy.
