The LORD’S Covenant with David, and Israel’s Afflictions.A Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite.
NASBKJVGWTWEBDBY
A Maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the lovingkindness of the LORD forever; To all generations I will make known Your faithfulness with my mouth.1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.1 [A [maskil] by Ethan the Ezrahite.] I will sing forever about the evidence of your mercy, O LORD. I will tell about your faithfulness to every generation. 1 I will sing of the loving kindness of Yahweh forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.1 {An instruction. Of Ethan the Ezrahite.} I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation.
For I have said, "Lovingkindness will be built up forever; In the heavens You will establish Your faithfulness."2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.2 I said, "Your mercy will last forever. Your faithfulness stands firm in the heavens."2 I indeed declare, "Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them."2 For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.
"I have made a covenant with My chosen; I have sworn to David My servant,3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,3 [You said,] "I have made a promise to my chosen one. I swore this oath to my servant David: 3 "I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant,3 I have made a covenant with mine elect, I have sworn unto David my servant:
I will establish your seed forever And build up your throne to all generations." Selah.4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.4 'I will make your dynasty continue forever. I built your throne to last throughout every generation.' " [Selah]4 'I will establish your seed forever, and build up your throne to all generations.'" Selah.4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. Selah.
The heavens will praise Your wonders, O LORD; Your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.5 O LORD, the heavens praise your miracles and your faithfulness in the assembly of the holy ones.5 The heavens will praise your wonders, Yahweh; your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.5 And the heavens shall celebrate thy wonders, O Jehovah, and thy faithfulness in the congregation of the saints.

For who in the skies is comparable to the LORD? Who among the sons of the mighty is like the LORD,6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?6 Who in the skies can compare with the LORD? Who among the heavenly beings is like the LORD?6 For who in the skies can be compared to Yahweh? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like Yahweh,6 For who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? who among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah?
A God greatly feared in the council of the holy ones, And awesome above all those who are around Him?7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.7 God is terrifying in the council of the holy ones. He is greater and more awe-inspiring than those who surround him.7 a very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, to be feared above all those who are around him?7 God is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.
O LORD God of hosts, who is like You, O mighty LORD? Your faithfulness also surrounds You.8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?8 O LORD God of Armies, who is like you? Mighty LORD, even your faithfulness surrounds you.8 Yahweh, God of Armies, who is a mighty one, like you? Yah, your faithfulness is around you.8 Jehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.
You rule the swelling of the sea; When its waves rise, You still them.9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.9 You rule the raging sea. When its waves rise, you quiet them.9 You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.9 Thou rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.
You Yourself crushed Rahab like one who is slain; You scattered Your enemies with Your mighty arm.10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.10 You crushed Rahab; it was like a corpse. With your strong arm you scattered your enemies. 10 You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.10 Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.

Your right hand is lifted high.13 You have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted.13 Thine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Lovingkindness and truth go before You.14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.14 Righteousness and justice are the foundations of your throne. Mercy and truth stand in front of you.14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before your face.14 Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face.
How blessed are the people who know the joyful sound! O LORD, they walk in the light of Your countenance.15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.15 Blessed are the people who know how to praise you. They walk in the light of your presence, O LORD.15 Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, Yahweh.15 Blessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.

By your favor you give us victory. 17 For you are the glory of their strength. 18 For our shield belongs to the LORD, And our king to the Holy One of Israel.18 For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.18 Our shield belongs to the LORD. Our king belongs to the Holy One of Israel.18 For our shield belongs to Yahweh; our king to the Holy One of Israel.18 For Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.
Once You spoke in vision to Your godly ones, And said, "I have given help to one who is mighty; I have exalted one chosen from the people.19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.19 Once in a vision you said to your faithful ones: "I set a boy above warriors. I have raised up one chosen from the people. 19 Then you spoke in vision to your saints, and said, "I have bestowed strength on the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.19 Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

Remember what my span of life is; For what vanity You have created all the sons of men!47 Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?47 Remember how short my life is! Have you created Adam's descendants for no reason?47 Remember how short my time is! For what vanity have you created all the children of men!47 Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?

Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants; How I bear in my bosom the reproach of all the many peoples,50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;50 Remember, O LORD, how your servant has been insulted. Remember how I have carried in my heart [the insults] from so many people. 50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the mighty peoples,50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants that I bear in my bosom that of all the mighty peoples --

With which Your enemies have reproached, O LORD, With which they have reproached the footsteps of Your anointed.51 Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.51 Your enemies insulted [me]. They insulted your Messiah every step he took. 51 With which your enemies have mocked, Yahweh, with which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one.51 Wherewith thine enemies, O Jehovah, have reproached, wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
